Yep, the Tom Holland head will be in the Iron Man 2-pack, as of ToyFair17.

That style display is meant to fill an endcap display and that is all. Floor display's are much bigger.

And it really depends on the toy department manager on how things go out. IF there is not enough room or they can not kill a current display, they will sometimes take all the stuff out of a shipper and just put it in the home aisle spot.

And yes, I know what I am talking about. I work for the big blue box and am on quite good terms with the toy department manager. :-)

This. Usually store employees have very little say with how items are displayed outside of stocking pegs. Most are required to follow a layout, or are at the discretion of a department manager.

I really want that Ultimates inspired Iron Man. I'm wondering if the head from the Select version will work on it with a little teeaking.

That's kind of what they were going for.

Arguably not as lame as a skinny old man in a green leotard.

We all love the classic characters, but Vulture needed an update and an upgrade if he was going to pass as the main villain for a feature length film.

That list is old and is still disapointing. No idea why Gwenpool is part of a Spidey wave. A total waste of a slot that could have gone to an actual Spider-Man character instead of a joke gone bad.

I think it has the potential to make a really cool looking figure though. The colors should pop nicely as there arent many pink/white figures.

Im looking forward to see how they execute Demogoblin and Spider Punk. They knocked the last two goblins out of the park for me.

Since I have both I will say that looking at Green Goblin's glider really makes Hobgoblin's glider disappointing, it's just so small and because the stirrups are towards the back he can't even really use it as a base. Before Green Goblin came out I was fine with it because I just figured a larger glider would drive up costs but Hasbro clearly demonstrated otherwise.

She has interacted with the new Champions a lot and Miles Morales is part of the team. So a spidey line seem like the most logical place to put her ( as much as any of the choices of where some Legends get put in a mix). I mean when ( outside of the cartoon episode he was in) was the last time Moon Knight interacted with Spider Man?? And I am pretty sure Death's Head II has never appeared in a GOTG book. I know DH I showed up when Iron Man was with the team.

Like her or not ( and I agree she is kind of a wasted joke character) she is popular.

warmachine6 06-03-2017 01:48 AM

i think when it comes down to characters they need to figure out where said character appeared first , so gwenpool , being gwen stacey has to be with the spider-man wave for she is a spidey character. With Deathshead 2 i dont know how he got to be with guardians , all he has been with is She-hulk , (number one version) then got his own comic series, then i think what if series , the sword comics , then revolutionary war

Agreed... i don't follow the character much, but i think it'll make a nice addition to the Legends lineup!!

Yah but they didnt have to make him look like hal jordan with metal legs. He coulda at least had a green jacket for a lil bit of symmetry.

its better than an old bald guy in tights

once you have the figure in hand, you'll be glad you own it, it is a thing of beauty, and probably the largest ML figure to date (just based off how huge the wings are

Very happy with my Adam Warlock!
I quite appreciate getting this version, although I would still pay for the classic (updated) version.

I decided to experiment with the Magus head on my extra Strange body.
Let me know if you think this works please.
(and don't mind the basic photo-skills)

Same reason as Ms. Marvel. And Daredevil, and Moon Knight, and Misty Knight, and Ghost Rider, and whoever else I'm probably forgetting. Spider-Man waves almost always have that one extra slot that is taken up by a random non-Spidey hero.

The jacket does have some green to it, though, but it doesn't stand out as well as it probably should.

Kirathis 06-03-2017 07:59 AM

@daetrin
The Strange body looks great for Magus. I have seen a few customs using that body or part of it for Warlock prior to this release as well. It works great.

SymbiSpidey 06-03-2017 08:09 AM

Holy crap why is the double-packed Web Wing Spidey selling for crazy prices online? Have scalpers resorted to scalping even double packed figures now?

The gliders are kind of weird.

The glider GG comes with is actually Jason Macendale's Hogoblin glider.

The glider Hobgoblin comes with is Kingsley's glider, but you would have thought due to the torn cape and the alternate demon Macendale head they would have given him the Macendale glider.

Nevertheless, honestly, there has never been a perfect glider. I really want to a glider that lets me pose my figure like this while on it:

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...804ab95339.jpg

I just think that pose looks really badass and terrifying.

Oh, and who knows, maybe they will give Demo the correct GG glider. lol

Since Demo should just be the Hobby body with the Macendale head but in blue, red, and yellow, it should be quite nice.

But is she popular because she is the newest thing that came out like 3 months ago or popular because she has had solid character development over the last several years?

Remember the Lantern Colored heroes? Those were popular... for a few months.

Daredevil, Ms Marvel, Misty Knight, and Ghost Rider have actually teamed up with Spider-Man in the past though. They have fought with him. That is the same reason why Cloak, Dagger, and Sleepwalker would be perfect for the Spidey waves. Hell, Sleepwalker should be before Gwenpool. He has 25 yeas on her.

Gwenpool's not even a real super hero and they should be making the civilian characters that matter like Gwen Stacy, George, Robbie, Debbie, Marcy, Ned, Betty, Gloria, maybe an actual Jameson, a regular Silvermane, a regular Hammerhead, etc.

Weapon X 06-03-2017 08:55 AM

Checked an out of the way Walmart last night, nada.

Boy Blunder 06-03-2017 08:59 AM

Dude, we get that you don't like Gwenpool, but there's a number of people who do. Sleep it off, and be glad that Hasbro keeps trying to balance between appealing to fans of all types of characters. She has just as much reason to be in a Spidey wave as the other random "headliner" heroes, as cited by Phantomcrow, and is a lot easier to sell a wave to retailers with than any civilian characters, no matter how much the collectors recognize and want them.

(For the record, she's been around since 2015, not "three months," and has held down her own title for over a year, with solicits for upcoming issues extending at least into October).

@warmachine6, she's not Gwen Stacy. The original art of her was during the "Spider-Gwen versions of all characters" cover month, but her actual character and backstory has nothing to do with either Gwen Stacy or Deadpool. The name/costume were due to a mishearing of her name, Gwen Poole, as Gwenpool.

I agree there are better characters who should get figs before a joke character like gwenpool.
