At Walmart the little Black Series figures were still only $5 and they just pulled out a fresh case of the second TFA wave so I grabbed Phasma for the low price. A few days ago I saw the multiverse TDKR Joker on Amazon was only $20 prime but that they wouldn't get it in until today, apparently they meant I wouldn't get it until today because it showed up. Really glad to have just gotten it this way since apparently every store in my area is in favor of skipping his wave for the Wonder Woman one. He probably has the best level of paint apps on a Mattel figure's face that I've ever seen, and he has two heads at that. Finally then going back about a week at 3 AM I was lucky enough to catch a brief moment where HTS actually had the 40th R2 in stock. It finally arrived today and in surprisingly great shape considering my past orders with them. Honestly if this wasn't R2-D2 it wouldn't be worth all the hassle since as a toy it's technically lackluster but it does look very good. I still hate Hasbro for making this figure as hard to get as it has been but I am also grateful that they re-released it since R2 was a hole in my collection. He seems a tad small though, maybe it's just me but I feel like he should be a little bit bigger. |

Okay, let's not delve any further into this conversation before any mods need to come in.

I decided to add a few more Loyal Subjects TMNT figures (this time, the metallic ones) to my collection, and had decent luck.
I think the metallic Shredder looks better than the standard one (for obvious reasons, lol), so I'm pretty happy with him, plus, not getting doubles or triples is always a relief when buying some of these pricey blind-box figures. http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...psmb6fl8rq.jpg And, some recent Pops, too. I actually bought the Steven Universe Pops about a month ago, and just forgot to post them in my other posts from the past few weeks. I was a little distracted, I guess, because I bought them the same day I picked up my new Jeep. This might be one of the only places in existence where the following phrase is considered blasphemous, but the excitement of new toys just can't compete with the excitement of a new car :p http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...psh1pkfqlo.jpg http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...psxo2vweve.jpg |

Got the new Funko Twin Peaks figures

After a relatively long period of not having much money, I just got a fair amount, and went on a tad bit of a spending spree. I got the new The Last Knight Voyager Optimus yesterday, and Marvel Legends Symbiote Spidey, Dazzler, Sunfire, and Drax today.

I kept telling myself for weeks and weeks that I didn't need this figure...
Toy Biz's old Logan figure has aged horribly (aside from the awesome motorcycle), and I've really REALLY wanted an updated Logan, but I didn't necessarily want Old Man Logan, unless he was based on his appearance in Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's original OML arc, or a movie-based Hugh Jackman OML . But anyways... After seeing 3 or 4 of this guy around town while shopping tonight, I spotted one with great paint that had been sitting, untouched for weeks, at a local Walgreens, and I finally relented. I knew that if I kept passing on this guy, especially after seeing one that looked so good, that I would regret it at some point in the near future, when he's not as easy to find. http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...pssaz1jtzr.jpg |

Personally, I think that they were a little too ambitious and WAAAAYYY in over their heads with their QC-nightmare Legacy line (IMO, they should leave that sort of figure to NECA) and that the ReAction line was cool in theory, but the final results were typically a little too rudimentary. 9 PoA 3 3/4" figures seem to be the perfect median for Funko, and I'm really looking forward to what they have planned in the near future. BRW, lordbest, have you been reading the Bombshells comic ? Is it worth checking out ? I saw that the Harley from the Bombshells Earth recently appeared with the Harley from Earth Prime (or whatever DC is calling the Rebirth-era Earth), in the "Harley's Little Black Book" series, and it somewhat piqued my interest in checking out the Bombshells digital comics. |
