So...looks like those Marvel vs. CAPCOM Legends rumors actually have some truth to it...
Shame it just so happens to be another Iron Man, especially when there will be some characters in the game we haven't seen just yet...at least in those incarnations... Really hoping that Jedah from Darkstalkers is one of the characters on the CAPCOM side, being that he is rumored to be appearing in the game. A Strider Hiryu I would be sweet as well. |

I really wish Hasbro would stop calling the smaller line Legends. Does nothing but generate confusion, and in this case...false hype. I'm saddened now... |

I looked on Fwoosh to see if there was any additional info but all I found was a lot of posts insist this 2 pack was 6" scale. |
The source I got the picture from lists it as 6 inch, guess time will tell
|
I'd love to see Hasbro's take on Morrigan given how much their female sculpts have improved.
|
Also I wonder if the "Gamerverse" logo means we'll be seeing a line of game-based figs. Maybe something for the new Spider-Man game.
|
Definitely 6" Legends and not 3.75" Legends.
The "card" that states the information of what it is is about 3" tall. If the figure were to stand next to it, it would double that in height. |

Another thing I just remembered, most of the MCU Iron Man figures use that older ball styled hip joint, which eliminates the thigh cut as the whole leg turns at the swivel. Might explain why it looks similar to the 3.75 stuff. Though, someone else made a good point online that it looks like the box has been placed right next to a 1/4" scale statue of Ryu that is supposed to come out in the near future. (You can see the reflection of the foot and leg in the glass case behind the figure, with the 0the foot just barely peeking in the corner of the shot.) https://www.kotaku.com.au/2016/04/da...t-you-can-buy/ If that is indeed the statue, the statue would stand around 18 inches tall, meaning that the box doesn't scale up to it properly, and it's definitely not 6 inch Legends. Or...dare I say it...these figures could be of a different scale altogether, like the animated GoTG and Spider-Man animated figures. If so...ewww.... |
I know my 3.75" for sure...
I had heard some.stirring in the woods about a possible new 3.75" set that could be a 6" set as well. Thought I'd pop in here to see what you guys were saying. I then looked at the pic and used my Scooby Doo knowledge to deduce that by size referencing the figures.... Also, for a second reference- note the reflections. The Mega Man card art is roughly the size of the figure. The reflection on the right hand size is comparable to the reflection behind it of a man's left shoulder and biceps. No way would a 3.75" be close to a size match of the upper arm bone. #science |
If this is in the 6" scale, this might be the first time I willingly buy an Iron Man figure.
Because I will support the hell out of any and all MMX merch. |

For size comparison, Exhibit A (please excuse the poor paint on the one Iron Man): The 6" figure couldn't put his head through that peg hole but the 3.75" figure could. |

Google is a good tool. Robin Hood Men in Tights, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, The Producers, Young Frankenstein, History of the World Part 1, etc etc etc. A legend in Hollywood comedy. |

I'm convinced these are smaller than 6 inches after looking closer at Mega Man. They may not be 3.75", but they are definitely not 6". MegaMan is carrying a lot of traits that aren't typical for 6" legends...such as a lack of ab crunch, and what looks to be swivel joints at the elbow and knees as opposed to the traditional double jointed ones found on 6" legends. While there are some Marvel Legends figures that have swivel joints, this is usually a trait of the female figures and larger characters/BAFs, and not the standard for the male bodies. In addition, that Iron Man also looks a lot like he has elbow swivels, which would make no sense, since nearly every modern Legends figure of him, be it MCU or comic styled, has double joints. Of course, this could be more easily solved if Hasbro would simply stop calling Marvel UNIVERSE figures, Marvel Legends. |

1. The packaging for the MvC 2 pack lines up with the 3.75" Marvel Legends 2 packs, not the 6" 2 packs. 2. The articulation for the MvC figures lines up with the 3.75" Marvel Legends, not the 6" Legends. 3. The 6" 2 packs don't even go on a peg hook anymore. They sit on the shelf. 4. The only 6" Iron Man with an elbow swivel was the Mark I from the first movie. All other Iron Man figures have double jointed elbows and bicep swivels. |
