Wow, these all look really good. Currently watching the second season of Daredevil, so that's really got me excited and pumping my anticipation for the wave.

Regarding the Thor wave, I'm assuming that these are the only comic figures and the rest of the MCU figures will be displayed at SDCC.

SymbiSpidey 06-14-2017 03:47 PM

Wow....Man-Thing. That's a surprise, but not necessarily an unpleasant one.

No, actually I'm more dumbfounded that you don't know wh Mel Brooks is Tomax. At least, I hope you are just kidding. How can you not know the only man who has ever truly made good parody movies? The man is a genius. High Anxiety, Spaceballs, History of the World Pt 1, Young Frankenstein, Silent Movie, Robin Hood Men in Tights, Dracula Dead and Loving It, Blazzing Saddles, and The Producers.

He's not only a director, but also acts in his movie. He plays the original Donald Trump in Blazzing Saddles as a blind dumb mayor. He is both the Palpatine and Yoda equivalent in Spaceballs. The King of France, Moses, a comedian, among others, in History of the World, etc.

The guy is under drinking age.. cut him/her some slack.

As for this wave i want a man thing figure !!!!

Finally!

Also, I can't wait for that Ares.

Trivial Psychic 06-14-2017 04:13 PM

Blade! And thank heavens...a new one and not the original cancelled version. And if you have the old head sculpt, we'll be able to swap it out. YES!

Very cool...that totally made my day.

That Marvel Knights wave is a purchase...entire wave.

Glad to see Elekta has an unmasked face sculpt..although it looks more like Jennifer Garner than it does Elodie Yueng.

That's my guess. I'm glad because I was hoping for Cate Blanchett Hela!

If ya have some free time give those old movies a watch. History of the world part one and young frankenstein would be ones thatd be a good starting point. ;)

Definitely 6" Legends and not 3.75" Legends.

The "card" that states the information of what it is is about 3" tall. If the figure were to stand next to it, it would double that in height.

Gamerverse figures are Confirmed as 3.75

Pravus Prime 06-14-2017 05:49 PM

I'm glad I never tried to get a KO or piece together the Ares BAF. Patience pays off.

Now they just need to remake Ronan the Accuser

Judging by a majority of comments i would think...

Boy Blunder 06-14-2017 07:42 PM

This stuff was also revealed during a Google Hangouts session with the Marvel Brand Team from Hasbro. Copy-pasting from MarvelousNews about the stuff discussed during this session...

Quote:

Other figures they considered for the Marvel Knights BAF was Kingpin and Ghost Rider on bike.

Man-Thing is a lot more massive than the Toy Biz version.

Odison differs from the SDCC version is some slight deco variations and some different parts. You get a different bearded head and black arm with the comic con version. Jane Foster comic-con has a different hammer with a blue tinge to it and slight paint deco variations.

Ares different build and updated deco than previous version. Legs have more modern articulation including ankle rockers.

SDCC Ulik figures uses some parts from the Rhino BAF.

The Thor wave will have movie figures in it.

3.75" Thor Comic Book Series Executioner and Enchantress 2-pack was revealed. Should be out in the August time frame with other Thor products.

Thor and Marvel Knights wave should be hitting shelves by August 1st.

More TV series figures like Agents Of Shield are possible for them to do and if they see enough demand they could do those.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2-pack will be 3.75" with Iron Man and Mega ManX. Will be a Target exclusive due out in late August or early September. Will have good articulation, especially Mega ManX.

They are always looking for ways to improve articulation and some upcoming figures should incorporate changes they hope fans will like.

ukmu 06-14-2017 09:47 PM

I was wrong about the Capcom pack. Stupid science, always lets me down! Oh well, you guys have PLENTY to be thankful for and talk about now.

Dr Kain 06-14-2017 10:49 PM

Okay, so I have no use for anything from that terrible looking THor wave.

As for the Marvel Knights line, I don't get why they are having Imitation Swamp Thing the BAF when he this could have eaisly been Kingpin. Why does Hasbro insist on not giving us a new Kingpin figure?

Anyway, I love how the Blade logo is done using the Stranger Things font. Aside from whatever the hell you want to call his hair style, he looks great and is a must buy. Same goes for Bullseye. No interest in the rest, but I may end up picking up Elektra on clearance as a stand in until they do a comic version.

lordbest 06-14-2017 11:20 PM

The Netflix wave looks great, I've no real connection to Man-thing, Blade or Bullseye as characters but they all look good, especially the BAF. The Netflix characters all look superb, though I wish JJ came with an alternate open hand and perhaps a whiskey bottle or something.

The Thor wave reveals are a bit underwhelming, if only because we have seen Thor already, but I'm thrilled we are getting her at last. Young Thor looks fine too, but not as nice as the SDCC Odinson so I'm glad I was able to pre-order one of those. Ares looks fine, I hope the BAF is still going to be Executioner though.

I hope the Netflix wave does well enough to justify a second wave, we need Luke Cage and Claire Temple, and I suppose we'd have to have Danny too.

SymbiSpidey 06-15-2017 12:28 AM

The cool thing about figures like Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and to a certain extent, The Punisher, is that they can easily double as comic and TV figures.

Archangel 06-15-2017 06:13 AM

Blade should have been Luke Cage, and Man-Thingy should have bee the Kingpin. Sounds so easy....

Captain Nash 06-15-2017 08:43 AM

Well I'm back after a few days of madness going on around me.

@jwyss234 - thanks for the heads ups a few pages back. Because of said madness I didn't get a chance to make it out there so I'll probably just keep a watch online and checking local. It's no big deal, to be honest while I want the 2 pack I'm not super excited about it enough to take too much of an effort.

Thor wave reveals: Nice so far, actually prefer the SDCC versions but I'm sure I'll end up getting the wave regardless. I'm having a brain slip on the BAF for that wave...I know it wasn't completely confirmed but is it Hulk? I may actually end up skipping the wave (much to my surprise) if I snag the SDCC set, and just get the few figures I want singlely. Though it's probabably I'll do both.

Marvel Knights. Damn for a wave I wasn't anticipating wanting anything of there's a lot of nice looking stuff there. I figured I might want Bullseye and Blade so there's good news they look great, but I may have to rethink about buying the rest. especially since the BAF is Man-Thing, which the toybiz version is the only Legends I've ever had break on me. It would be good to get a replacement (or an updated version rather.)

Also can't believe only a little over a month til SDCC and two more months before some of the Thor and A-Force product might be hitting (was that August? or Sept/Oct for Thor?)

Robb 06-15-2017 08:54 AM

Spidy and MJ back up.

To be fair, Blade was one of the original Marvel Knights titles when the books launched if memory serves me correctly, while Man Thing also had his own MK title. Luke Cage did not.
