Still betting on a Loki/Thor, comic versions I guess since the rumor is the MCU versions are in the wave.

Still irritated that the MvC 2pack is the 3.75 figures. In gonna get it anyway in hopes that they do a full roster.

Meaning that Ulik isn't specifically a BAF, he's just using the Rhino/Abomination BAF as a base.

Considering all the scuttlebutt we've been hearing about Executioner, I'm willing to bet he's the BAF.

Actually, the piece I was referring to was this "The Ulik Build-A-Figure is a similarly massive size to the Terrax BAF that was released back in 2012" That was posted during the Google Hangout. I would much rather have anyone other than an SDCC figure as the BAF-

Shame it just so happens to be another Iron Man, especially when there will be some characters in the game we haven't seen just yet...at least in those incarnations...

Really hoping that Jedah from Darkstalkers is one of the characters on the CAPCOM side, being that he is rumored to be appearing in the game. A Strider Hiryu I would be sweet as well.

If the Iron Man came with that stupidly huge proton cannon from the game I would be all over that. Stupidly huge Iron Man accessories FTW! Too bad this will not be 6". Marvel vs Capcom would have given us some potentially great character choices.

Preferably with a more modern look.

I guess it depends on the BAF. There's been a constant back and forth in the rumor mill between Executioner and MCU Gladiator Hulk. With all his appearances in merchandising, MCU Gladiator Hulk is going to have to find his way into Legends. I don't see Hasbro putting him to the wayside. I'm thinking if he's not the BAF, then he'll be in the 2-pack with a MCU Gladiator Thor.

Bo Ttef 06-15-2017 04:53 PM

isn't there supposed to be 2 Thor waves? Could see both Executioner AND Gladiator Hulk pretty quickly.

How does cosmic spidey's legs look to you ? the one i saw in the wild, his legs were a darker shade of white compared to the rest of the figure. that was a main reason i passed on him. hoping the ones i get in the preorders come with proper paint.

Will it kill Hasbro to finally make a way over due classic 616 Thor? The countless movie versions & now unworthy versions are getting to be overkill. The 2008 BAF Giantman wave Thor was great but lacks the awesome buff sculpt that the newer Hasbro heavy hitter bucks offer. Re-release Gladiator in a Thor wave as well!

I also want a classic Walter Simonson style Thor and Beta Ray Bill, that was the glorious age of Thor comics for me.

I'm cool with Blade honestly. I'm getting picky with my collecting now, and I've passed on the ToyBiz Blade a couple times. This looks like the one. I'm not a huge comic aficionado, but I kind of figured all the Netflix Defenders characters would get their own wave.

Dr Kain 06-15-2017 09:30 PM

So apparentely that Cosmic Spidey is not just a Spider-Verse character but was actually Peter Parker at some point?

A Defenders wave seems like a given since they haven't done Luke or Danny. I figure the wave would look something like this:
  • Luke Cage
  • Danny Rand
  • Daredevil Season 2 update (he lost some of the armored pieces on his costume when he got the new cowl)
  • Elektra's costume from either the season 2 finale or her new one in The Defenders
  • Kingpin
  • Nobu in his Hand costume with an alternate foot soldier head.

Depending on what they do with Frank's costume in The Punisher series, he may or may not need a costume update. Jessica Jones seems to be wearing the same clothes from her own series in The Defenders so she won't need an update.

As for the Thor wave(s), the only Thor figures I'm really wanting at this point are classic versions of Thor and Loki. I could certainly be tempted by Hasbro with an incredible comic based, second Thor wave with those characters but even a 2 pack of those two would make me happy. Also if Hasbro is going to do two Thor Waves, this would be the year to do it. Infinity War should finish out the contracts for most of the Phase I heroes so depending on how well Thor: Ragnarok does and whether fans want more Thor movies after it, this could be the last solo Thor movie for a while.

Yeah back in the '90s Peter Parker gained the powers of Captain Universe for a while. Don't remember exactly when or for how long but it was a brief thing. The only issue I still have is the "what if?" story where he keeps the power. I also remember that in the Spider-Man video game from 2001 the Captain Universe costume was the easiest way to do the god mode cheat.

Wait did anyone think they were not gonna make a movie version in a movie wave?

I agree with both parts of this. Except that I want more Thor figures than just classic Loki/Thor. But yeah they need to get done, movie loki too but there needs to be updated 616 Thor and a Hasbro comic Loki. There's so much untapped potential in the Thor universe it would be a shame not to have a second wave.

Got a call yesterday from our Walgreens friend, her Invisible Woman order FINALLY arrived!

The ankle rockers were a little stiff, but otherwise she's great in both the paint and articulation departments. I'll have to give her alternate hand some hot water treatment, though.

Right! And as far as overkill, there have been 3 MCU Thor figures(Thor, Avengers, and Age of Ultron). Hasbro didn't release a figure nor wave for The Dark World. I get a lot of people hate movie figures, but come on.
