I loved Crain's artwork, except his art totally when downhill during the Necrosha arc, it was practically indecipherable - couldn't tell what was going on. But I have to guess that he was being rushed obviously.

Its the hard cover. I think it was $30 bucks. I agree that the necrosha artwork was lacking a bit but I still enjoyed the story.

I agree on the rest of those brotherhood figures. But, for Blob I just bought a Toy Biz one because I liked how Ninja Assassin has him displayed.

Quick question, does anyone know if the Marvel Select Dark Phoenix stands foot holes can hold up Marvel Universe Dark Phoenix? I think that would look great, but not sure if it would work.

The marvel select dark phoenix foot stand will barely hold the mu one. I used those clear rubberbands to hold her up.

Damn Sym, those pictures are dope. That base looks epic with that MU figure.

ORIO 09-14-2011 03:25 PM

HOT DAMN. Thanks Symbiote!! :)

Symbiote 09-14-2011 03:39 PM

thanks guys. The marvel select phoenix is pretty big but makes dark phoenix look menacing. It reminds me of the heroclix game piece I saw at comic con a few years back. I do want to get the one from the marvel legends line too but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. With the marvel select phoenix, she can go toe to toe with the other large figures.

That's a beautiful display stjuggernaut. Very clean. And that King Loki looks awesome. I'm still hoping to find that guy.

felks22us 09-14-2011 05:12 PM

Im still looking for that whole wave damn. oo yeah what thor is that from what number ?

stjuggernaut 09-14-2011 05:14 PM

Thanks Ludovicotek!

yeh I like how they are all lined up looking regal. I have never ever displayed figures on stands before, this is a first for me, but it kind of fits. Like Odin says in the movie: "Tis a fit companion for a king." haha

Yeh I waited a while for Loki. I am friendly with a kind chap on ebay who got me King Loki and also my much sought after Armored Savage Opress from the Clone Wars.

Every single one of those Thor figures apart from Odin are from ebay. (i guess thats not every one then haha.)

Thats the first release of Thor. I got that one waaay back before the film came out. It was one of the first ones to pop up on ebay, didnt cost an arm and a leg either. Getting all of them did though. the only ones i got cheaper were fandral and hogun, the rest apart from odin and thor have cost me alot more than american retail unfortunately!

they are my favourites though!

D00MTR0N 09-14-2011 05:27 PM

stjuggernaut 09-14-2011 05:40 PM

ah ok,I would love to get that figure.

Zictor 09-14-2011 06:06 PM

Oh man! That Thor collection is amazing! The UK still only has Wave 1 and I really wanna get my hands on Sif and the Warriors 3, and Especially Heimdall but I'm very doubtful that I'll ever see them considering it's only peg warmers.

Also on the hiding a figure thing, I put Stretch Strike Venom to the back of a shelf so I could shop around and come back if I needed to, I had to do that and I got him. I think its kind of a bad thing to do as in a way it feels like stealing but then again it's not as bad as stealing.

For those intersted in the dio route, the bike shop that everyone has been cloning is on clearance for $5 at Wally world. I also found a gun tower with 2 figures & an 4 wheeler and other random pieces from the Corps Line of figures for $5 in their clearance section this morning and I got my Hulkbuster & Titanium Man figures I was looking for.

Optimus Vader 09-14-2011 08:08 PM

That Marvel Select Phoenix thing is awesome. I wish they'd sell the Select accessories without the Select figures.

Yup agreed, or just have official accessories or playsets online, with the tg line "for use with your Marvel Universe figures"

Symbiote 09-14-2011 08:41 PM

Finally opened all of them up. Captain America is the best one out of the bunch. X-23 and surprisingly Namor is also an awesome figure. Aside from the redone Ultron, I have to say that the DarkHawk figure is cool in detail but articulation is not as good as the rest. I hate that Hasbro doesn't give the neck pivot to the flying guys.

The SW 2 Pack Ultron for comparison. Its still a good figure with all kinds of articulation at the bicep and elbow swivel but at least give him some accessories Hasbro.

My Ultron II

and finally, X-23 with X-Force. I'm working on giving her the foot claw and the other missing team members.

Awesome pic man!

Venom711 09-14-2011 09:20 PM

@Symbiote where did you get those flight stands???????

ORIO 09-14-2011 09:28 PM

And what's the Domino made out of?

Tiberius 09-14-2011 09:34 PM

I'm making a...well I dunno what you would call it, Space Ultron? Either way, using an old Star Wars General Greivous cape. Looks pretty cool actually.
