Either way, Moon Knight 2099 only showed up briefly and she was like the protector of Attilan on the moon or something but that was all we got. I was always curious to learn more but we never did.

wait a second? this is a thing? i was just kidding.

Talk about the upcoming X-Men wave(s), I'm going to break my thoughts down on what likely hood of figures with a "decent" chance we will see between 2018-2020, at one wave per year and a Deadpool wave. Unless otherwise noted it would be their iconic look and will not take into account Build a Figures

Pretty much close to 100% chance as possible: Storm (Jim Lee), Psylocke, Gambit, Bishop, Nightcrawler, Beast, X-23(All New Wolverine look), Mystique

90% chance: Professor X

80% chance: Angel (only lower because we do have an Archangel already), Colossus, Iceman, Lady Deathstrike, Domino, Magneto, Sinister(The classic Colossus and Iceman sculpts might come a little later but it would finish out the Jim Lee era looks)

50% chance: Storm (First Appearance) X-23 (X-23 Appearance), Lady Deathstrike, Forge, Banshee, Madrox, Moonstar, White Queen Emma Frost, Cannonball, Sabretooth, Pyro, Avalanche

33% chance: Monet, Blink, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Modern OR First Appearance Rogue, Sebastian Shaw, Omega Red, Longshot, Emplate

Short of BAF I honestly can't think of anyone who has an even possible chance of being made, though goodness knows there's tons I'd like to see

I dunno why hasbro hates longshot. Good lord knows he needs a new figure badly.

I think basically Gambit replaced the "cool" factor of his character. While bringing in some mystery too. Unfortunately it also brought a decade of angst with Rogue which ruined both characters.

Yea, im bummed about it too... however the new scarlet spider series will kind if suffice. Peter David is writing tgis too.

What they need to do is give us a Giant Sized X-Men Box Set of Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Banshee, and Thunderbird. The regular wave can then be the Jim Lee Storm, Gambit, Wolverine, and Beast with Apocalypse (using the Colosus body), classic Mystique, and Mr Sinister, with Goblin Queen Madelynn as the BAF.

I would be down with both of these, but I don't see them ever making Madelynn. too risque.

Or maybe maddy as a normal fig and badtion as the baf? Normal sized figs as a baf is chinsy. ;)

How so?

She's no different than the likes of Red She-Hulk or Angela.

Does it really matter? For one thing, we would be getting Apocalypse in that wave with the larger body. Would you rather they wasted that money to turn the Colossus body into a BAF body just so you could feel an accomplishment of getting a bigger BAF? You are still getting the same figures regardless of who the BAF is. Secondly, Madelynn's cape alone would require specific tooling.

.

If they stuck to the classic Goblyn Queen design, the underboob would definitely present a problem as a brick and mortar figure. also it's likely the torn frontal loin cloth look would be a problem, as it leaves bare hips. Now you put that in an SDCC exclusive I don't see an issue. Also if you were to retool her outfit or lack there off, maybe. And I say all this as someone who would love for her to get done, and also as the fact that Selene, my most wanted figure now, would present similar issues (though on a lesser scale, still bondage queen look is problamatic.)

Weapon X, Gambit, Sabretooth, Pyro, X-23 in the Wolverine suit, Professor X (not sure on how to pull the chair off in a Hasbro box), Mystique, Classic Magneto, BAF: Sentinel

Storm, Psylocke, post- Apocalypse Angel (Blue face, blonde, angel wings), Age of Apocalypse Cyclops, Age of Apocalypse Wolverine, Mr. Sinister, Forge, Bishop, BAF: Apocalypse

8-figures is a lot for a wave, but they pulled it off with Dormammu.

I get that...i just wouldn't want to see maddy as the baf as it would likely end up like the tru jubilee fiasco or mantis wave who has thus far been run like the abomination wave. I'd like an apocalypse baf as well but I think bastion would be a better choice just simply because the toy biz apocalypse is still pne of the best bafs ever done by either tb or hasbro and bastion, like nimrod, is long over due for a figure.

On the cape issue they could just use hobgoblins cape ( from space venom wave ) and a little bit of retooling on the angela body. I think the underboob would be an issue but could be worked around with a removeable weapon strap of some kind so the soccer mom groups wouldnt be able to bitch ( kinda shocked they didnt go postal over angela ).

I haven't started reading it yet but I remember back when they announced the series they showed off a pretty bad looking new costume on the cover of issue 1 and then after excessive fan backlash they revealed an update where it was just the classic Scarlet Spider suit. Going off of that I'd assume that the classic suit shows up somehow but he may have a new main suit.

I would think that with a New Mutants movie on the way all related characters should have their chances improved. Especially Dani Moonstar who technically already has a Legends figure, Hasbro just needs to release it.

Oddly enough i really want a Cypher fig.

So is the Dark Phoenix 2 pack out yet or not? I keep hearing 8/1 street date, but see some people got them already. Hmm...might need to make a few calls! I know my local TRU won't have them (and if they did they'd say they can't let them go, but then later they put them out early and I let them know, they say it was a mistake...yeah sure!) I know of another TRU, a bit out of ways from location, but they always have a lot of ML stuff in stock.

The street date is 8/1, but in the end, it is up to your local TRU if they want to sell it to you or not. I picked up mine last week (go back a couple of pages on this thread,) but a lot of people online have claimed that TRU refused to sell it to them when they tried to purchase theirs. So it all just comes down to that store's management and how closely they follow policies and street dates.

If its on the shelf they need to sell it regardless. Not our fault they dont know how to train their people how to stock. ;)

You say that, but the number of times I've had a manager tell me that they can't sell me an item that made it to the floor before street-date says otherwise...

Captain Nash 06-26-2017 02:31 PM

I don't understand why there are street dates for to--err COLLECTIBLES anyways. I understand the whole release date for music and movies due to piracy, but you can't pirate a figure (not in the way you could a video or audio file.)

I have to agree with Nitelife, if it's on the shelf they should sell it.

Edit: I guess in the case of massive Star Wars release days they used to have I could understand, that is a whole line for a movie, and nothing for that line is supposed to go out before that date, but it's a bit silly to put a street date for every different pack or wave that a line has (provided it's not the same street date like the aforementioned Star Wars releases)
