Great pics, man! Unfortunately, I had to cancel my A-Force order. Just too much for me right now. Did you use a stand for Seaspray there?

That sucks, you should have sold it to an Arker, I'm sure they would have paid you up front for it too...assuming it's getting fulfilled.

It was the preorder on BBTS. I canceled already. I needed that $140 for some doctor bills.

this is ridiculous....toys are wayyyy more important than your health and some doctors bills!!

but really..i cant' find those for pre-order on BBTS...
*EDIT* found them buried away....pre-orders are sold out and they want 180.00 for it.
BBTS's prices are starting to get a little suspect..

Have no idea what happened there^^^^

En Sabah Nerd 08-04-2017 05:10 PM

"Hell... it's about time."
I know that quote is most associated with Tychus but technically Jim does wind up saying it.

My NECA HotS Raynor that I had on pre-order with BBTS arrived today. Thankfully BBTS does a great job of wrapping the packaging in bubble-wrap because even though the shipping box was marked with a fragile sticker it looked like it had been delivered by Ace Ventura. Every side of the box was dented or squished in some form. What the hell Fedex? Thankfully like I said the contents where safely preserved.

This figure came out pretty awesome which just further highlights what a damn shame it is that the line is ending. While I still sulk and whine about how we didn't get Kerrigan or one of the Protoss I will say that I'm very glad to see Raynor get a figure. Jim Raynor is definitely one of my all-time favorite heroes of video games and I think his Starcraft 2 design is great so I was gonna get this anyway but it definitely doesn't disappoint on its own merits. The articulation is pretty comparable to the way NECA did their better Pacific Rim Jaegers which is fitting since Jim here sorta looks like a Jaeger. The shoulders are on ball-hinges, the biceps swivel, elbows are hinged, the forearms swivel, and then the hands are on ball joints with nice range. His visor does flip up and down easily and then his head is articulated but getting use out of this is a little tricky thanks to the dome. The torso is ball jointed, hips are on ball-hinges, upper thighs swivel, hinged knees, and then surprisingly the toes and heels are on separate ball joints which all work well. The sculpt is the typical great work I'd expect from NECA and then the paint apps are all pretty nicely done. I especially like the way they nailed the snake skeleton deco on his shoulder and the skull on his visor looks fantastic. He stands at pretty much 7" flat at full height plus he's bulky by design and he holds the rifle (which is also pretty big) well in his right hand though it was a little tough getting him to get a hold of it the first time but he can then support the end in his left hand for a firing pose. Definitely happy to have this.

Hence my reason for canceling! :D And yes, their prices are getting a little high.

Went out to Target and TRU to find the new 3.75" Thor packs and Thrall looked so good in person I couldn't resist.

Found the mailman dropped this off at my parent's house.

@En Sabah Nerd, the HotS look amazing, I'm glad the line is going out with a bang. I should be getting mine in the mail tomorrow, fingers crossed. I just saw some amazing cosplay of Maiev Shadowsong and Kerrigan which made me think freshly how disappointing it is this line is ending.

Thrall's joints move well but are unsurprisingly hindered by a lot of the chunkier armor. He looks astonishing though, all of the little scratches in Doomhammer and the way they nailed making his armor look like pounded metal (sorry if that's not the proper term) really add a layer of "wow" factor (see what I did there?).

they have for many, many years! i used to have grimlock, prowl, and soundwave from there, but they've also had bluestreak (and probably a few others) if i remember correctly

Brownfinger 08-06-2017 03:11 PM

I love the Heroes of the Storm line so much that I considered getting that Thrall, but I very much prefer his current "Shaman" look to the old one. Was kinda hoping for a figure of that. Line ended far too soon, if you ask me.
Speaking of, I just opened this one up:

And also picked up this guy:

Thanks, dude. And yes, in some of my shots you can see the Figma stand outline, but most of the time the clear stand gets washed out by the sunlight when I turn up the contrast.
Everyone deserves a shot at owning the figures in the A-Force set, they're terrific. It seems that you all inevitably will, but I said the same about Magik and we're still waiting.

The shaman look is I think Thrall's more definitive look nowadays but since his main skin in HotS is his old armored getup it makes sense that NECA made that look. I always find it confusing when people are talking about toys for games where players can choose how their characters look and some people are always like "man they gotta do (insert name) in this legendary skin that I use" because you know not everyone would like that, it's best to use default appearances. TRU had only one Sylvanas when I went in and her eyebrow was really funky.

Comparison shot for the shit of it..
i think this is the very first release Marcus from Neca.

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4351/...d7c52e82_c.jpg

i think this is the first McFarlane Gears figure that can stand correclty.
The first two were awful and they have terrible stances (especially when gravity starts taking a toll)
i didn't open the 3rd figure so i'm not sure about him yet..(i forget his name..Dell maybe)
