One thing I know from formerly working in financial news/publishing is that press junkets are meticulously planned, NOTHING is unintentional. We saw Hand Ninjas and what looked to be Arcade, as well...hmmmmm

I like that Hulk. It's a shame it took a Thor movie wave to give us a nice movie Hulk.

Adam Warlock has the head, but Nihilo still is supposed to have an arm.

I wouldn't know for a fact, though, since I've yet to see that wave in person.

Well, with the wave reveal, I'm actually happy that it's gonna be a skip-wave for us. Other than Jane Foster Thor, my wife's digging that Hela, and I'll be happy to sub her in for the SDCC version I'll never own. But other than that, I have no interest in movie Thors, something about the Loki looks a bit off, Valkyrie's not hitting the mark for me either, and I'd rather have a new comic-style Hulk (or an Executioner... maybe one day).

Adam Warlock has the head, Ex Nihilo has the left arm. Only one photo of Ex Nihilo has shown it with the head, and that's the photo you posted. Also got a chance to see the wave in-person the other day, and can double-confirm this.

I assumed it was gonna be for one of the 12" Legends figures, since it was shown on the same slide as those Thor pieces, which everyone was assuming were gonna be on the 12" figure.

The Mantis head comes with Adam Warlock , says on the back of my GOTG Ex Nihilo.

I wanted a movie Valkyrie action figure but I never thought we would get one, well done Hasbro.

Hela looks amazing, Loki looks great, both the Thors look great. Great wave so far.

Wow, Hasbro really needs to check their shots. That is the second time they screwed up their images (first being Invisible Woman with an alternate right hand).

It's probably that Dorkside just had an older photo on file, before Hasbro had finalized the way Mantis would be released, and went with that.

Remember all the retailers with photos of Juggernaut-wave Rogue before her bare hand was shown as an alternate accessory?

There's a figure missing from the new Thor wave. They've only shown us 6 figures and Ares is a former BAF so most of his packaging will be taken up by his size and accessories.

Also, someone was asking about the Mantis BAF. You need all of the figures in the wave except Death's Head II because he doesn't come with any BAF pieces. All of the figures that do have BAF pieces, have unique ones so there are no doubles like in the Thanos wave.

The new Ares we've all seen pics of isn't a BAF, as far as I understand. There is still a very good possibility that the Executioner might be the BAF of that wave...although, personally, I'd prefer a new Destroyer.

The head turned out to be a beaten Matt Murdock and the hand ninjas were references for the 12in. Marvel Legend SDCC exclusive.

Will Hasbro even have any surprises left for us for this year come SDCC? It seems like we'll know everything already unless they pull another Thor wave **please pull another Thor wave!**

Given his tendency to fight/get beaten up by the Hand, makes sense to me, especially for just teasing the figure.

I predicted we would get 4/5 of these characters (Thor, Hulk, Hela, and Loki). I have no complaints at all. I'm very happy we are getting these figures. Hasbro gave us the 3 major villains from each film this year. This gives me hope for Kilmonger in the eventual Black Panther wave.

Very happy for those of you who wanted the Gladiator Hulk but I can breathe a sigh of relief that it isn't Executioner. I'll be getting Ares and MAYBE Loki but other than that finally a wave this year I can pretty much skip. Whew.

My only gripe thus far is that I kinda wish they'd used the Amazon gift set Thor from Age of Ultron in the two-pack (since we know Thor starts off the film with his more traditional costume and hairstyle).

Like with the recent Star-Lord and Spider-Man examples, I dislike the idea of basically buying the same figure twice.

I'm expecting they'll reveal the rumored BAF Lizard wave for Spider-Man. I'd also expect at least some of the Black Panther wave since his movie is due out in February.

I'm hoping for more X-Men.
