Looks nice. I look forward to hunting for him and complaining that all I can find at Walgreens are stacks of Sues.

I would have, but Photobucket pretty much ruined forum threads round the world with their sudden change in their terms of service...

redfox 06-30-2017 10:04 PM

Just opened up Valkyrie, and she's pretty cool and has a decent sculpt. You can never have enough warrior ladies on the shelf!:thumbs

I wish the skin color was the same as the previous figure. I didn't think the original was all that terrible...it just suffered from a bad head sculpt. I've head swapped the new head with the original body, and it looks great. It's just that she has two completely different skin tones.

Sorry to hear that. I've been terrified that she'd show up looking like Sloth from the Goonies. Absolutely hating buying figures without seeing them first, but I guess I lucked out this time.

Yeah, I've noticed the change in skin colors for both the Gamora and Drax figures. Odd both versions don't quite match to their on-screen personas.

I know it's not the best option, but I've been using Tinypic for all my photo sharing.

She's great! Even better if you can get a hold of the spear that came with DC Universe Classic Hawkgirl. Matches up quite well.

I wish I had picked up Daredevil when I had the chance. All I've been seeing are Namors and Punishers

I'm still seeing DDs around here. I could probably hook you up if you're interested.

Even though this thread is technically for all Marvel 6" stuff, I know it's primarily focused on Marvel Legends, but do any of y'all know how I might be able to get an extra wrist peg for my Mezco One:12 Classic Captain America?

I broke mine heating and removing the gloves/boots to replace them with some modded ones from the Marvel Legends CapWolf. I tried contacting Mezco's customer service about it, but apparently, they don't send replacements for individual parts; either they replace the whole figure, or nothing. Also, I bought mine through eBay, so even though I know it wasn't the seller's fault, and even though I got the Mezco order number from the seller, they won't let me replace it. I tried supergluing it, but I don't know if that's strong enough, considering how much stress relative to other parts a wrist peg experiences.

Any idea what to do, other than try to somehow find a Mezco wrist peg on eBay?

Check 2 pages back, I was going to but damn Photobucket shenanigans.

Bought the Dark Phoenix/Cyclops 2-Pack yesterday, and immediately swapped the relaxed head from DP and put it on the Juggernaut wave Jean. The head swap improves the quality of the figure and I love it.

the sculpt itself looks fine...but I'm not feeling that paint scheme to represents fire...he just looks kinda ....orange mostly....like he's a Larfleeze construct.

You're onto something there. The fig might actually serve better as one of Larfleeze's "possessions" rather than as originally intended. I refrained from saying anything when it was first announced, but I was (I am still, although a little little less so, for reasons I'll explain) pretty disappointed with that fig. I held off on vocalizing my judgement because I considered that Hasbro may offer a "Nova-flame" variant as they did with the last iteration. Their previous run at Johnny initially elicited the same tepid response from me. I disliked the choice of opaque orange plastic. However, once I saw the superior nova-variant, I developed an appreciation for the original as a display alternative. Maybe Hasbro will make it right with a translucent nova-flame version.

I agree !! The head also is a different color from the body... i might consider getting him. Depends how he looks when he's in my hands.

The head on john boy bothers me....he looks more like john hammond or toro tha johnny. The ares wave john had a mich betterr head. Wish they would just made that a lil larger to use on this.

I haven't been able to see a close enough pic to make that determination, but I have always wished they would make the "real" Human Torch and Toro...

Looks really spot on. I'm really impressed with how improved a lot of the likenesses have gotten. Maybe for Infinity War we'll get a Cap who actually looks like Chris Evans!

Speaking of Infinity War, I'm really hoping Thanos isn't a BAF but knowing Hasbro he most likely will be the BAF. Hopefully no matter what Hasbro does Diamond will make a Select movie Thanos.

It'd be nice if we got a non-knock off looking Annihilus.

TheLegendMarvel 07-01-2017 01:19 PM

sooo has anyone spotted any of the mantis wave in stores yet? any idea when it's supposed to hit?

A BAF Annihilus could work in an Infinity War themed wave just as a cosmic villain. They could also do a Shuma Gorath (he could work in a magic wave too) or maybe if Thanos is just a figure in the wave then a Black Dwarf BAF could fit. I don't really like Black Dwarf but he is a pretty big guy and he does look neat as the muscle of the Black Order.

I forgot to share it in this thread but I got the vol2 Rocket and Groot at a Gamestop on the 29th. Somebody else had bought up all of the rest and probably only left that Rocket because he's double packed so they didn't need both.

Oh man that'd be great. I'm only worried because Diamond has a mixed track record when it comes to doing villains from the film.

But yeah I wouldn't be surprised if Thanos is the BAF. Not sure who else it could be.

Jerseysteel 07-01-2017 05:18 PM

Wasn't the last thanos BAF the movie version?
