@Red

Thanks and I hope you nab a set soon! Also, thanks for sharing with us all that Phoenix accessory. Short of the Marvel Select Phoenix accessory, it is the most perfect accessory for the character!

Harbinger 07-07-2017 10:56 AM

Finished my Sandman baf. Hated those heavy oversized arms so used an extra pair of absorbing arms for regular sized sand morphing arms. Used the baf arm upper shoulder sockets but painted the bicep and lower.

So after spending more time with my new figures I gotta say that I really love the crazy hair head on my regular Phoenix. Jean's hair was always drawn as messy when she was in Phoenix mode so it fits with her having that head for me. Although, the staight hair head will make for great pictures of the team relaxing if I ever do any. On my shelf though, since I usually have them in action poses, messy hair it is. :-p

Invisible Woman is pretty cool, but I'm not sure what I can really do with her right now until I get the others.

Jwyss, don't forget that Lawrence's Mystique is "Mutant and Proud, but only because I can hide myself in the general public while you can't. HAHA!"

You could always have submariner with his arm wrapped around her.

Pretty much my plan.

Why would I do that? They're not even related. Namor existed long before the FF.

Haha Thanks, me too!! Yeah, I bought it in anticipation when the green Phoenix was only a rumor. Seeing it in your pics it definitely looks better with Dark Phoenix.

Cause he wanted her for his queen at a few points I thought?

Namor has kind of had a long running romantic interest in Sue. It's varied in its intensity from period to period but sometimes she would even manipulate his feelings for her to get him to help the F4 or the people of Earth in some way.

One of the few reasons I hate Namor. I love the Walgreens exclusive ML, but I hate his character with a passion. He crossed the line when he trashed Wakanda in AvX, and in The New Avengers he was just a straight prick. T'Challa was right to F him up. F4 are my favorite CB team, and I hate when he interacts with them, because he always has a perverted agenda.

Sorry for the rant, but I hate Namor.

You musta cheered a thousand cheers when hyperion gave ol subby a ned stark haircut eh? I know i did. ;)

Jeddostotle7 07-07-2017 05:00 PM

Namor as a character has varied so wildly in aggressiveness, sanity, and dickishness depending on the writer that they've basically had to write in a consequence to his half-human, half-Atlantean heritage: if he stays too long in either water or air, he starts to go insane. Different writers had such wildly differing takes on his character at different times, they had to write an in-universe explanation for it.

"Ned Stark haircut" is a very fun way to describe it.

I guess I can confirm Invisible Woman's future pegwarmer status. I put six on the shelves at my store about a week or two ago, and all six are still there, along with about 6 Namors, 2 DDs, 2 Black Ants and a Punisher.

Dr Kain 07-07-2017 10:00 PM

Your Walgreens only has 6 Namors? That's cute. THe Walgreens closes to me had 17 of him the other day. They also had 6 Ant-Mans, a DD, 4 Cables, 4 Rogues, 5 Icemans, a Dazzler, and 3 Havoks.

I get that all three are friends in real life but Fassbender and Lawerence really shouldn't have been included in X-Men: Apocalypse. They just didn't fit with the story that well and I have to question their inclusion in the new X-Men move.

It makes even less sense given that Lawrence is allergic to the Mystique makeup and can't wear it for long without getting quite ill.

She's found that if she's blue earlier in the day then she can have a nice, relaxing evening. :D;)

Looks great!

warmachine6 07-08-2017 01:44 AM

they solved the makeup issue for mystique by giving her a body suit , rather than being painted, i think maybe her face gets painted , that's what they did for apocalypse.

lordbest 07-08-2017 02:15 AM

Saying they solved it is being generous, she was still barely in the makeup when she should be in it whenever she isn't impersonating someone.

They started do that for DOFP actually. But her problem right now is the blue paint. It's harmless on the skin but you're not supposed to breath the fumes in. And they paint all around her nostrils, sometimes inside them in order to hide her normal skin color.

Dr Kain 07-08-2017 08:53 AM

She's an actress, she has to grow up and deal with it. Lon Chaney learned how to live with it. So did Boris Karloff.
