Yup... just like the Bangles. LOL. Personally, I'm glad they went with that look for Rogue and not the more modern straight hair version.

Ugh...I always hated that Rogue look....

Symbiote 07-12-2012 03:15 PM

Imo the scale for the helicarrier is still a bit off. I'll try to take some close up pics later. There are some comparment areas but not to the extend that noodlechow mentioned. At the bottom of it, there is a branded imprinted label saying stark industries.

I was hoping the Heli Carrier would be more GI Joe FLAGG-ish... But it just looks like a glorified platform w not much substance.
^This^

What's with a super-deluxe huge toy that doesn't have the necessary control room? Why such resistance to having functional areas for vehicles lately? The Quinjet could only fit one figure in the cockpit, and it didn't come with the pre-advertised pod bike.

This just looks like a landing strip. Might as well paint a plank of wood grey and silver.

EDIT: Not that it matters, since 75% of all MU doesn't hit the UK, and something like this would cost triple whatever it costs in the US (which will be quite a bit) making it impossible to get. I'll find that plank...

Pretty sweet, man. I'm sure I'll see some of you (lucky) fools carting those around on G4 this weekend.

NoodleChow 07-12-2012 03:26 PM

hmm... thinking about it, the scale i'd want would be something like the boxart. maybe 5' x 1.5-2' for the main platform area and maybe 7" in height. but looking at the pics, still seems pretty awesome. if it was the retail version, wouldn't mind picking it up.

Symbiote 07-12-2012 03:41 PM

Noodlechow: I like the box art too. I'm hoping they will release whirlwind and masters of evil giant man too.

Torn Prince 07-12-2012 03:45 PM

I would have preferred if we had got a more current look for Rogue. While that is the version I'm most familiar with(thank you 90s X Men cartoon) I don't dig it...big hair...makes her look like a reject from an 80's hair band. Oh yeah, and not to mention the Derp eyes...those will probably get fixed before she's released though.

Totally agree with you there ^.

Tempted to get the Helicarrier, you think it'll sit on HTS and get dropped on price?

haha that'd be awesome. prolly won't stay too long and at most i'd say maybe a week. also there's a coupon code floating around which might just work for the exclusives: COMIC2012 for 10% off orders. should mitigate against tax and shipping a little.

BAD MOON 07-12-2012 04:09 PM

i think that the rogue they chose to make (googly eyes aside) is the best rogue costume and i think they nailed it. i think her current look is so boring.

I think hasbro is aware that the 90s jim lee x men team is the one that most people are familiar with. I'm a fan of it and aside from the googley eyes, its perfect. Are there any other 90s x men members left? I would also like to see her in her current costume too. Maybe somewhere down the road.

Just an fyi on what the other vendors outside of the hasbro stand were charging for the hasbro exclusives. Hasbro prices includes tax. These are slightly higher than what they were posted at two weeks ago.

Helicarrier - $250 (hasbro price $140)
Shockwave hisstank - $130-$150 (hasbro price $70)
Bruticus - $200 (hasbro price $103)
Marvel legends x force - haven't seen it yet(hasbro price $55)
Masters of evil - haven't seen it yet (hasbro price $33)

Just keeping you guys informed for those of you working out deals with other ppl here or are considering buying from evilbay or bbts, etc. The new name needs to be scalper-con

Ninjinister 07-12-2012 04:26 PM

Dudes, 90's Rogue's design, her dominating playstyle in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Lenore Zann's sensational voicework are what made me fall in love with her. Before that I had some of her pre-Jim Lee appearances and I didn't care.

Those eyes've got to be fixed though. I'm sorry but the Southern Belle doesn't need to look like she's stoned out of her mind.

And make a nice Ares out of that mold. :)

I got lucky this year and some friends of mine went...They got me

MOE
X-force legends
Cliffjumper

Sigh of relief...I don't have to pay BBTS or scalper prices.....

Thanks for all your help!

Also i will be updating my BST to my current state. Will be setting up new deals too

Happy to help bro, we've all been there at one time or another, I can remember a time in my life when my biggest ambition was to get a truck like an f-150 or silverado because it was higher off the ground and I thought the cops wouldn't be able to tell that I was sleeping in the bed like they were able too when I was in my small Toyota pick up, and make me leave whatever park and ride I was sleeping in.

As has been said, we know and hope you'll be back sooner rather than later, and we'll all be here to help u get back in the game when you are ready.

To scale would be almost 50' long. If the price scaled up the same it's be just over $2000. ...They'd probably sell a few of those.

i walked away with sabretooth and wolverine from TRU tonight :)
