That could work, definitely.

I'm still waiting for a TV-oriented wave that'll give us a Peggy Carter figure. Maybe a Daisy Johnson, too - either AoS-inspired or comics-based.

You're still going on about it like 3 days later? Oy vey. If you don't like figures of new characters being made, great. Nobody's forcing you to buy them.

I never grasped why people crap their pants whenever a character they don't like (or don't know) gets a figure, like people crying about Ms. Marvel getting a toy last year. I don't care about Black Knight but I'm not gonna cry and scream about political correctness when he gets redone eventually.

I think they're testing the waters with the Netflix wave. They did say when asked about Agents of SHIELD stuff that we will probably see more TV figures if these do well.

More than likely I will have both a LOOSE Jessica Jones and Punisher for sale after I get this (no BAF part) because I couldn't give a rat's ass about JJ and I hate this version of Punisher (ironically those were the two they showed first last year that I was so very much MEH on the wave about.) Of course I reserve the right to change my mind but I'll make a call out for it when I get the set.
.

Dorkside has singles up of Blade and Bullseye, both in package and loose.

Ah, thanks! I think I will just keep with my order but that's appreciated. I was kind of waffling on whether I want to go all in or not anyways, since I do like DD and Elektra's concepts, I just literally cannot stand JJ and Punisher's. And since a new Man-Thing is a must for me I might as well. But I really appreciate it, who's to say if they had been up as singles this morning what I would have done. :D

Thanks for the heads up. I need a second Blade for a custom.

Augustus_Cole 07-11-2017 12:53 PM

can someone explain why buying singles of the figs at Dorkside is 128.00 but the case is 145.00??

YES! Just saw Dorkside's post on the Fwoosh forum that they'll start charging cards tonight and shipping out orders for the Netflix wave tomorrow!

Thanks for posting! Went ahead and ordered Jessica Jones. She's been my number one for the wave, and I don't think I'll have much trouble finding the rest later.

Tomax 07-11-2017 01:10 PM

if mysterio comes out, I wanna get him

It'll depend on how well the show does and people's reaction to it. Same for the Inhumans tv show. We'll probably get Squirrel Girl just because Marvel has been pushing her for years now (not sure of her appeal but more power to the people who love her). But I think we'll see Cloak and Dagger before New Warriors since two people are easier to do than a whole team. Plus people have been asking for Cloak and Dagger for a while now and Hasbro could do an SDCC set for when C&D swapped powers.

Some people just get weird about figures. I can understand that people want to see certain characters released in certain costumes but some of them take it to ridiculous levels. A few years ago, It wasn't uncommon to see comments about how a particular character shouldn't receive an updated figure because that character had an old Toy Biz figure (which hadn't aged well). Or that any costume from the modern era shouldn't be used because the line was called "Legends" and modern costumes aren't legendary.

I never understood why people had a problem with Kamala being Ms. Marvel. Carol had already left the role behind when she became Captain Marvel so it's not like she was forced out. Kamala has only been around for a couple of years which makes her Ms. Marvel book a good starting point for little girls who are interested in superheroes. Plus her costume is appropriate and easy to make for little girls who want to dress up as their favorite heroine (same applies to Spider-Gwen).

I know this may be hard for some people to hear but eventually we're all going to die and it's in Marvel's best interest to bring in new readers.

Panther 07-11-2017 01:13 PM

Went ahead and ordered Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and Elektra from Dorkside. I have a spot ready for them in the display.

Not trying to undercut Dorkside by any means, they are great as always, just trying to recoup a little bit of money with figures I couldn't give a care about - especially considering how much has been spent on this line in the last three years...

To add to that last comment, actually kind of glad to see that Spider-man line up is what it is. Spider-Man waves are typically where I can save some money unless they have really great villains - only figure I want is Mysterio, unless the BAF is Kingpin or comic Dr. Octopus and then I have a problem.

The current spidey wave became a pass for me... i only wanted 3 of the figures, no need for the entire wave. Anywho the new wave listed looks interesting.

I haven't yet decided on this, it would be nice to have an extra MCU Spidey but this Iron Man and his weird extra head does nothing for me. Actually I would have liked the opposite for this set, unmasked Spidey with a business suit Tony Stark.

Also saw that today that a local Target put the Guardians wave on clearance, but it wasn't the Groot wave DCPI but rather the remains of the Titus wave. I thought that was kind of weird, when no other Targets are doing that from what I've seen, and the fact that there is a Wave 2 still while the Groot wave was a one off reissue.

Hopefully with better legs. Id say use the sandman/absorbing man/dormammu body n dormammu legs.

Boy Blunder 07-11-2017 03:28 PM

Would Rage really need that size body? He's huge, but at 6"6' (I know I was recently railing against the official stats, but heights seem to be in the believable zone, even if weights aren't so much), I don't know if he needs to be that big. I think the Nuke option would work just fine for him. It would make him nearly a head taller than the Bucky Cap body, which is already used for numerous characters around 6" tall.

I guess it depends. I think nuke body, with sentry legs and nuke boots would work but some may prefer a larger body. I guess he could be the baf in a new warriors wave. Obviously a new head, skin tone and a vest ( id even go sfar as to add an unmasked head )

Janice was only $11 on Amazon so I picked her up to go with daddy dearest Tombstone. There are some minor things they could have done to improve the figure like give her shoulder pads or an unmasked head would have been nice assuming they got her skin tone right but overall it's fine on its own. The real fun is pairing her up with her father for family bonding criminality.

I'm getting ready to do a Blade as Ronin custom and was just wondering if anyone knew of a 6 inch figure with a trench coat that might work well. I'm gonna be using the two-pack Ronin body as a base.

Yeah, the legs would need a retool. Honestly, I dislike that body but because Thor is on a comparable mold and Rage has been illustrated as being roughly the size of Thor, I'd prefer that scale of figure.

Yes, I am surprised that you would quote an "official" height and weight listing. Less surprised - it was a long while ago - at you forgetting that my complaints about Hasbro's Thor fig standing at the same height as Warpath was pretty much the kick-off of our running dialogue regarding official height and weight stats. We also had a later convo about Storm, who, fyi has nearly the same proportions as Caroline Wozniacki - 5'10", 128lbs (the reason I brought her up the other day). The original Marvel Universe actually lists Thor at 6'6"...he's gained some height with popularity, just as Tony Stark has. Regardless, I remember Rage's first appearance in the Avengers. He was huge, easily the size of Thor, if not larger. As a young black teen, I was excited by the prospect of an African American powerhouse that could hold his own (at least visually) with Thor. Lol Thinking back on that now...I guess not much has changed within my psyche...

Dammit...this has finally hit stateside now? I need my Ultimates inspired Iron Man!

Is it a Target or TRU exclusive? I thought it was Target but the eBay listings are saying TRU...

TheBlueMarvel 07-11-2017 04:30 PM

Hasbro's MCU Nick Fury could be a candidate. If you wanted the arms to be exposed, you could possibly remove and paint Fantomex's coat...

Got it at TRU, the shelf was loaded. No Cyclops/Phoenix tho

Nostalgic 07-11-2017 05:31 PM

My local Walmart sucks. They always only have like 3-4 Legends on the shelves and never seem to get more in. I did see a couple of the new GOTG wave, but not Ex Nihilo or Adam Warlock, the only two I want. I asked the guy last week and he said they were getting more in the 11th. I stop in this morning first thing and they had none. I find the guy again and now he tells me they won't be getting more for at least a month.

I ended up ordering them off eBay. I love the thrill of hunting and finding them in stores, and always have decent luck with Target, Walgreens, and even Toys-R-Us to a good extent. The Walmart around here is no good for Legends though.

Harbinger 07-11-2017 06:17 PM

My walmart is over filled with dormammu wave leftovers, sandman leftovers, and titus wave leftovers. And they arent moving. Hell they still have those damn multiverse figs, that while several other walmarts have clearanced em mine still has em at full price. I dont think we will ever see mantis wave at retail with brick n mortar choking on whats still on pegs.

I can see them not getting more if the shelf was filled with old ones at my location, but there are literally 3-4 total on the shelves and none coming in for a month.
