Great choice, that version has such a unique look and definitely give off Batman the animated series vibes.

Thank you very much :)

Your comments are very important. Thanks again to everyone.

No way! You just threw that diorama together? Just like that? That looks amazing!

I love dioramas, but space is a challenge. I don't even have enough space for the toys, the diorama just take up more space per figure.

Yeah the females do get a lot of statues but half of them are sexualized.

Well, truth is, I believe in one of Stan Lee's interviews he admitted that the token female member of every comic super hero team is there to keep the boys who reached puberty to keep reading comics. So it's totally understandable why females are often sexualized. I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying that does make sense.

That’s understandable, not right, but understandable.

I'm so glad you liked it. Thank you very much. :)

Yes, you are so right about the dioramas taking up space. I made a western diorama a long time ago, but the base was too big and I couldn't find a place so I unfortunately dismantled the diorama and canceled the project. Now I prefer diorama works that are very small and take up little space.

So what did you use for your diorama? Do you have a closet full of craft supplies that you just threw onto it and painted? Mini scale shrubs? cardboard box strips for the fallen sign I'm guessing?

I have a wide variety of materials. I also develop my own techniques. Unfortunately, I don't have a closet where everything is organized because my room is very small. I generally store materials and paints in plastic boxes.

For example, I always set aside objects that should be thrown away, such as a damaged toy or a damaged aquarium decor. Apart from that, I buy various art materials. Because it is very difficult to make some materials as handmade.

In this diorama, I used sand for the floor and glued this sand to the floor. Then I mixed and painted dark colors to make it look dirty and deformed. I made the telephone pole on the ground myself from wood. I used sewing thread for the broken wires. Stones are ready-made diorama material. Herbs, on the other hand, are a ready-made material that I have purchased before. I was thinking about a realistic atmosphere for dust and I used cigarette ash.

In general, this is how a diorama work occurred. Actually, I have much more detailed and different ideas, but both the materials are very expensive and it is very difficult to find free space.

Having a lot of hobbies is both beautiful and difficult. I do oil painting works. I'm not very good at it, but if you want to see it, I'll share the photos. :)

Thank you very much.

That's a nice use of mixed media for the diorama. It came out great.

Thank you so much. Let's talk briefly about my adventure in oil painting. :)

Actually, since I was little, I like to draw and make various pictures. I wanted to try oil painting works for a long time, but there was no opportunity. I spent more time on my hobbies, when the pandemic started, and started oil painting works that I was always curious about. I'm not good at drawing.

These works that I share are my first 3 works. Not very successful. However, I think it is good for first studies. I am still working on new works but I could not complete them. If I complete them, I will share photos. :)

I'm not one of those people that always give compliments. I believe that compliments should be earned, or else they're just words and they're meaningless. My sons know that all too well, that's why when I give them compliments, they know I meant it.

That said, I really like this painting:

Love the color and the contrast. If you painted that "live" by what you were seeing, that would be even more impressive!

I couldn’t agree with this more, the painting is beautiful and I’m not just saying that.

Thank you very much for your comments. I'm glad your liked it. Of course there are many places to work on. It takes a lot of practice to do better. :)

Haha, I had to google Lucky Luke, again, great stuff I never knew existed! However, where's Lucky Luke himself?

:) Haha Thank you for your comment. :) Actually, I already had old and newer production Lucky Luke in my collection. I didn't want to buy the same. There is also a yellow vintage dalton made in Spain. You can see it on the right in the photo.

I need to buy the Dalton brothers figures. Ma Dalton needs to be added to the collection. Coffin, vulture and rintintin are just a few characters that should be added to the collection.

I'm actually thinking of making a big change to my western shelf. I'm thinking of building the shelf in the form of a western diorama. But the lucky luke series may not be suitable for that shelf. I'm undecided on this. I think it might be necessary to display it on a separate shelf.

I started the wild west diorama work that I have been thinking about for a long time. I will design my wild west themed shelf as a completely diorama shelf. I will make many objects and buildings myself from wood, handmade.

I'm working on the Wild West Wind Mill today. This is how it's progressing now. I'll share the final version with you when it's finished. :)

Cyclopswc 06-08-2022 08:55 AM

Cool!

Arachnid13 06-08-2022 08:57 AM

Cant wait to see the finished product!

veryfigurefan 06-08-2022 12:28 PM

Thank you very much everyone. :) I hope I will complete it soon. The propeller part is one of the hardest parts.

It’s coming along very nicely, it’s very cool how you are making your own dioramas.
