Agreed.

I'd kill for a Bebop & Rocksteady too.

Anyone have any opinions on the foot soldier figure? Haven't seen them (or any of these, actually) in person yet, but I'm really liking how they look, and it'd be easy to have an army with some variety thanks to all of those spare weapons the turtles come with.

I'm considering building a top street/alley section to the Ninja Turtles diorama display I just finished. That top part would be specifically to display shredder, some foot ninjas, and at least one Kraang. Though as of yet I haven't ordered any of the villains.

He's Okay ish. Kinda pre posed, but not as extreme as Kraang. Swivel hinge shoulders, swivel elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, swivel neck, swivel hinge thighs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the initial announcement at Toy Fair said something about a Shredder, Splinter, and April as wave 2?

tlasjr 07-17-2012 08:47 PM

The only figure I saw in stores so farf is splinter

A rep in the booth at toy fair told someone that if the line sells well they will look into doing a wave two.

I would take it with a grain of salt, but its possible.

All need to be made if there is a Ninja Turtle God.

Optimatron 07-18-2012 12:59 PM

Has anyone found the Retro Classics figures at a retail store?

Ah, thanks! Sounds good to me. Now if I could just find some of 'em... that'd be nice.

Iceman 07-18-2012 06:07 PM

Anybody know if these are coming to Canada? Also, does anyone have an extra Leo, Raf, or Donny?

I don't know, sadly, if Usagi will ever see another Turtle figure. He's not a Turtles character (merely a crossover) and the reason he crossed over were because creator Stan Sakai and Peter Laird are good friends. Since TMNT was sold to Viacom/Nickelodeon, Usagi returning to Turtles stuff has been in the air, and even Sakai's not sure if it'll happen.

TheSymbiote 07-18-2012 06:34 PM

we saw the classics at our local comic shop, and they're much bigger then we expected them to be from the pics we saw online. Too bad they were $25 each though :/

We did get the modern Leo though so that's cool

This is what I've got so far. Still working on painting the weapons. Also, I was going to give the sewer display a black wash to really make it look dark and dirty, but figured I'd leave the colors bright. The turtles are bright and cartoony anyway, so... yeah.

jaybird7072 07-19-2012 05:48 PM

Hey guys what kind of paint are you using to paint the weapons.. want to do that to mine

Doesn't matter really, acrilyc is cheapest, dries fast, 2-3 light coats will do and then protective coating, that is the key good 1-2 layers of that and your done. I find testors paints to be good, but dries kind of sticky.

That's pretty much what I use, cheap tubes of acrylic paints along with metallic Testors colors and a couple of coats of matte protective acrylic spray sealer.

nakobass 07-19-2012 08:55 PM

FYI, The New Turtles scale really well with the 80's Turtles Vehicles. Mikey looks Awesome on the old Cheap Skate. The foot pegs don't fit him, but he can still hold the handle and stay flat footed on the skate.

NoodleChow 07-19-2012 09:05 PM

my friend in jersey just got the classic turtles and loves em. he's been thinking of making some custom figures of the villains and i was looking around

I'd love a panda kahn, but I doubt we will ever get another toy as that is not owned by disney.

Disney would probably want a ninja Mickey instead...

Hopefully playmates and Nickelodeon can still manage to get a Usagi out somehow. It'd be sweet if he had the same articulation as the TMNT.
Chances are we won't see him for awhile since he's still independantly owned.

Iceman 07-21-2012 03:28 PM

Just found BBTS won't ship the Turtles outside of the US :(

I curse you Playmates for being difficult but I love you for getting these things right.

MegaPrime33 07-22-2012 09:17 AM

No one's bought the classics and taken pics of them yet? Still haven't had a chance to make it to TRU. Hopefully soon.
