The video basically showed pictures of the figures, they can be seen over at The Fwoosh.

Oookay SHAZAM! and Etrigan just sold me on this line. Guess I'll go order Black Adam off of Amazon.
|
Oh I actually like that Sinestro a lot. Shazam looks good too. Need to see Nightwing from behind before I make a decision. I sort of want Deadshot now. I have no interest in the two-pack, but Etrigan is a must. Catwoman is my least favourite costume aside from her "doesn't know how to use a zipper" look but I'm still going to get it.
|
Yeah, Captain Marvel is pretty cool to and will go great with my Black Adam.
|
Nice! That Etrigan is amazing!!
|
I grabbed Icons Harley Quinn a week ago and absolutely love it. From this reveal, Sinestro will join the ranks. I'll wait for a modern version of Catwoman.
I need to grab Supes and Bats now. |
My Icons Atomica, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor and Superman arrived today, I'm very happy with all of them. Sorry about the picture quality:
http://i.imgur.com/UlDCzLB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Nt6vYB0.jpg I'm torn between Atomica and HQ as to which is my favourite, I have much more connection to HQs character but I liked Atomica in Justice League and Forever Evil (except for the end bit), and both are visually stunning figures with excellent articulation. But something about Atomica's almost metallic blue paint contrasted with the matte red and how well her face is painted really appeals to me. http://i.imgur.com/QR4IxhV.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/V8HNOsF.jpg Harley Quinn in her iconic costume, with her iconic mallet. Wonderfully sculpted, amazing paint apps, and superb articulation. I think possibly HQ and Atomica are the first female figures I have with double elbows, and it adds so much flexibility to how you can pose them. I had a bit of trouble posing her at first, still getting used to the lack of thigh swivels, but once you get used to it she poses very well and very naturally. I do wish she had come with her alternate head. http://i.imgur.com/GWYHmSF.jpg I really only bought Lex because getting him with Superman lowered the cost per figure of the order dramatically thanks to combined shipping, but I'm really glad I did. He's a really fun figure to pose, and his armour doesn't impede his articulation much at all thanks to some clever design. It's kind of awkward standing him next to Atomica though. http://i.imgur.com/tvkyodb.jpg Superman. I really like this figure, I get why some people don't but none of the issues that have been pointed out with the figure bother me now that I have it in hand. There is some very subtle pink eye, but you need a magnifying glass to really see it and even under magnification it doesn't look bad. The biceps and elbow joints are kind of awkward looking but if you pose it right you don't really notice, ditto for the neck. Kelex is an awesome accessory and I haven't had any stability issues with him, I can flick him with my finger and he wobbles around quite happily without falling over unless I hit him far too hard. So I'm really happy with all four figures, and I really can't wait to see how DC Collectibles does with the larger format figures like Batgirl and her motorbike and Darkseid. I'm going to try and get Mister Miracle, Hal Jordan and Aquaman at some point but that will be all from the currently available figures. Jon Stewart and the Joker are pre-ordered. |
This is so damn frustrating. Wave 4 is not listed as shipping this week When is it coming out? Why didn't anyone ask this of DC this past weekend?
|
Thanks to Lordbest for the close-ups of Atomica. I'm hoping for another surprise stand-out like her in future waves. Rgds

BBTS still lists Joker for example in July, while the first result on Amazon says August 16th, yet the official DCC store on Amazon says by October 31st! |
Does anyone know what DCC's twitter page is? The only thing I can find is some guy's page that says he is not the actual company. I want to ask them if they know when Wave 4 is coming out.

i think as of now im quite possibly sold on the Icons figures....i was hesitant at first but i just saw Demon Etrigan and 90s era cat-woman. they are both definite purchases for me.
can anyone give a comparison shot between an icons figure and a standard size legends figure? are they really that different size wise ? |

long time lurker, first time poster here.
I contacted DC Entertainment yesterday to inquire about the 7-pack and the cancelled accessory pack. They had an interesting response. Inquiry: "Hi DC Collectibles! Would just like to ask whether the DC Icons New 52 7-pack will indeed be replaced by the DC Icons Rebirth 7-Pack. I already have the New 52 on paid preorder, and I'm thinking whether I'd preorder the Rebirth as well. I prefer the Rebirth 7-pack but I don't want to end up doubling on the same set. I'd also like to inquire whether you cancelled one of the accessory sets. I also have that on preorder already. Hoping for your reply soon as my retailer has preorder deadlines set. thank you and more power!" Response: "Thank you for contacting us. Here at ShopDCEntertainment.com, we are only able to assist with customer service issues related to our online shop and the merchandise sold here. As far as we know, no accessory sets have been canceled. The DC Rebirth Justice League Action Figure 7-Pack will start shipping out until 03/29/2017 but the Justice League NEW 52 7-Pack Action Figures is still available, whether or not the new 52 pack will be discontinued is something we do not know yet. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again." |

Yeah, that is what they said at SDCC. But then, they can't even give us an actual release date for even Wave 4, which has now been delayed four times.
At this piont, I'm starting to wonder if I really need every character or just my favorites unless they deal with Batman or Flash. Hell, I just canceled my preorder for Firestorm because I don't really need him. |

I'm sure that if they knew the date, they would announce it. Really sounds like they're having a very hard time establishing a relationship and solid communication with the new factories they're using.

I'm really more frustrated with the lack of information rather than the delays. I mean, I really don't want to have two of the same set in case the cancellation is true. And I really don't want to have doubles (actually, triple since I also have the deluxe) of GL and Cyborg. I really have to know before my retailer's preorder deadline. sucks. Also, I'm not really sure if shop DC entertainment is the right group to contact, but I really don't think there's any way of contacting DC collectibles. Their fb page does not allow pm's, i think. |
