Comic shop haul!

Dc direct super Lois

I’ve been looking for a Lois lane figure and this one is perfect, she’s so amazing in her simplicity.

Dc direct Arkham city Talia al ghul

I didn’t realized how detailed her outfit is, and I really regret waiting so long to get her.

I know, it's quite interesting. I wish their figures were as widely distributed as McFarlane and Mattel DC figures are and/or were.

Kang 09-19-2022 05:01 AM

Always liked that Lois figure, and the iridescent statues are very cool, the Batgirl in particular is calling out to me...had not see those before!

No kidding, Arachnid13 keeps showing things that I've never seen before, some of which I would surely have picked up if I knew they existed.

Yeah. I never heard of Play Arts Kai until viewing this thread. Some of their figures do look neat. DC Direct I'm very familiar with because I find their figures in comic book stores and Vintage Stocks.

I’m glad you like them!

The batgirl is definitely worth getting, and in person the iridescent effect is twice as good as it looks in my picture. I don’t know why I waited so long to get her but I am so glad I eventually did.

she is easily one of my favorite marvel legends, I say go for it!

Kang 09-21-2022 01:02 AM

Much as I love classic Spider-Woman, this costume has really grown on me and looks great as a figure. All winners here, and yeah, the Silver Sable is killer (great head sculpt and absolutely loving the paint on her costume).

After reading the book and watching the movie I couldn’t help but to blow a shit ton of money on this figure of sadako from the ring, and honestly I don’t regret it at all.
This is by far one of my best purchases of the year, her overall quality and the sheer amount of accessories and points of articulation really put her over the top in my opinion.

S.H Figuarts sadako yamamura from the ring franchise

Cheese and rice! I didn't know this was a thing. There hasn't been a day that goes by that I don't lament the death of the one NECA was working on.

Yeah I really wish that neca’s attempt didn’t fall through because the shf one is really expensive and pretty darn hard to find at a decent price outside of Japan.

If you don’t want to spend $200 then that’s probably for the best lol.

veryfigurefan 09-21-2022 02:48 PM

It's nice to see so many new and different figures together. Your collection continues to grow. The sculptures are remarkable and it's nice that you can use so many action figures on the diorama. Congratulations. :)

I hope you have a lockable cabinet to display that sadako yamamura figure! She looks like one of those figures that will move around on her own ala "Toy Story" or "Chucky" style in the middle of the night!

Ha ha.

I grew up watching ALL horror movies, even the B stuff, there was once a time I nearly finish watching the entire "Horror" section at my local video rental place. Freddy, Jason, Myers, Chucky, NONE of them scared me. I figured as long as I don't go camping or live at "Elm Street", I'm fine. But I have to admit, the Ring and the Grudge are the 2 that actually scared me. To this day, every time I have to go up to the attic I still get an uneasy feeling. Good things my boys are older now, I send them up now. Ha ha!
