And of course, in typical hasblo fashion, the non-disney items that people really want are pre-sold out. Thank you very little.

Making it limited was intentional to stir up FOMO. Not gonna lie I'm actually happy Hasbro made Dash Rendar very easy to get as well as other expanded universe characters. In some kind of weird twisted events they are making expanded universe fans lives easier. Maybe because they know that people that love the expanded universe are the same people who kept Star Wars in business for almost 50 years. Also they're spacing them out just right.

Some Black Series figures mainly Sandtrooper and Clone Gale are showing $31.99 price tags on amazon I think that might be the new Tarriff price for TBS

And at that price they cam fucking keep em.

This is what Jay C from Toynewsi thinks the Tarrif prices might be not 100% confirmed

Tie Advanced and the SDCC pack look pretty good. The witch Ventress is the first Halloween figure I really want. Are all of the Snowtroopers identical except for the two that have rifles?

Seems about right. And i wont be buying them at those prices until they have sales or clearances.

So they made a figure dressed in white sheets.... why can't we have a hooded cobra commander again?

snake5289 06-13-2025 08:15 PM

I don't like the Black Series but that Anakin vs Obi-Wan set is pretty awesome.

lordbest 06-14-2025 08:39 AM

Barriss is perfect

It's a licensed Royal Guard figure that Lucasfilm approved. Hasbro is doing what they want with their own line.

User897 06-14-2025 01:21 PM

Vader's TIE is $140. They might as well make it a haslab at this point. Fucking ridiculous.

Jeddostotle7 06-14-2025 10:22 PM

Small thing, but those "waving lightsaber blade" effect parts that ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan have have always bugged me. Not just Hasbro's, but Bandai's and Hot Toys' too, cuz they always do it wrong.

In (as far as I can remember) every attempt at doing this effect on a figure, relative to the place the effect plugs into the lightsaber (let's call it "blade-parallel"), there's an equal amount of "wobble" extending from each side of it, which would imply a motion of just wiggling the lightsaber back and forth rapidly like a Wiimote. What should really be happening is one edge that is blade-parallel, to be the blade itself, with the effect extending in one direction away from it, to be the visual aftereffect trail, from swinging in one direction.

Maybe some figure actually properly did it like that, maybe I even saw that correct one at some point and forgot, but the majority do it incorrectly and it's been years at this point and it just always annoys me.

The black series Count Dooku did it right, there might be others but he comes to mind.

Did it? Haven't had my Dooku out in a while but looking at pictures it looks like it has the same "wobble extending from both sides of blade-parallel" problem, just less notable due partly to the curved nature of Dooku's lightsaber hilt, as well as partly to the fact Hasbro did paint it such that one side appeared as the blade in full color and a fading gradient towards the other side.

That wasnt a wobble effect, that was an old guy hands shaking effect. ;)

Ha ha.

And his lightsaber hilt isn't meant to be crooked, that was just the typical old guy problem of keeping things straight without drooping.

Or so I've heard. Ha ha.

User897 06-16-2025 10:29 AM

Does anyone know which Vader figure the TIE Advanced one is a rehash of?

No matter what I do, or what browser I use, I get this when placing a preorder for Vader's TIE. It had no problem accepting my order for the Troopers 3-pack, but this damn thing just won't go through.

Skoob 06-17-2025 01:21 AM

I've had that happen before. I theorize that they put up that message as a cover while they prepare to allocate a new batch of stock for online pre-orders. Does that make sense? Keep trying, and you will probably get it.
...
There was a time when I would have killed (so to speak) for that Vader TIE fighter...

New day, same shit. I get to spend my birthday trying to order it. I contacted hasblo with the screenshot attached, but I'm not holding my breath. If there is a reply, it will be automated and off the subject.

My sympathies. Please keep us posted. Reputation for customer service is the most important thing in this business. We need to speak with our wallets.

That said, with all the stuff that's going on these days, we should not be surprised if there are extenuating circumstances. Regardless, you deserve a helpful response.

P.S. Happy birthday. :chair
