I friggin love Bucky and Movie Cap so I'll try to hit up the Walmart near me. Actually I have a question for everybody in general, where do you guys seem to be finding it? From my observation it seems like its at Walmart. EDIT: I LOVE YOU FOR THE PICTURES. |
I haven't been to a Wal-Mart yet but I found the couple I have at Target.

NOBODY goes to freaking Kmart anymore.. I went there today (5.17) at 8pm and the pegs were stuffed full, not a single figure had been purchased. Granted they only had wave 1 but still. I had the pick of the litter.. got a perfect paint app ultimates cap. As for the figure well.. Paint apps: Had the pick of the litter, the paint apps seem fine to me.. the colors really pop which is nice, that said not all of these figures look so great be careful when buying as some of them were quite sloppy. Accessories: He came with a shield, I for one would have loved to see them opt out of the gimmicky blade BS and just give him a standard shield/stand but what can you do. I'm not a big fan of gimmicks but I honestly don't hate this shield as much as I thought I would. Articulation: Ah yes, the meat and potatoes of an action figure. These movie line Cap figures seem to have pretty substandard articulation to be honest. The arms are XMO wolverine style minus wrist swivel, the legs are difficult to move due to the odd butt sculpt and the head cannot look up. All in all, the articulation of this line is nothing to write home about (not talking about the SDCC repaint but that doesnt count anyway.) still, I suppose it works OK for what it is. Final Thoughts: It might just be my own opinion but I think this is one toy line that I wont be going gaga over. There will be a few standout comic series figures to pick up for sure, but all in all the marvel universe figures are better suited for the collector who wants the best of the best. The ultimates Cap figure I bought however trumps the MU version in overall representation of the character so that is why I decided to pick him up. To each his own I suppose. |
Whoops I forgot to mention wave 2 in my last post there. ^^;
So lemme reiterate correctly, where do you guys seem to be finding Wave 2 at? |
Went to TRUS and target tonight- they had Cap wave 1 - throughly picked over.
I had the SDCC repop in my hands (Captain America Battlefield) and was thinkning, Do I really need this thing? I got the "comic version" Cap already from this line 9and he's a big step up from the SW version) so what am I gonna do with this WWI version.... then I thought "Heeey! This would make for a great Starlord body!" and then I notice the knees- the knee joints are pretty sad- the sculpted pants sorta stop at the kneww and start up just under it...WTF?!? I might stiff buy one for a STarlord custom...though I already modded an AIM soldier for that purpose. Maybe the Cap fig will become an AIM Scientist Supreme with special uniform! Just gotta sand off that star....hmm... |
Bucky will fuck you up.
http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/a.../CapBucky3.jpg The gun he comes with sucks, but everyone has a spare Joe gun or something they can give him. The shield is awesome. Push the star and... shwiiiiing!!! He also comes with a knife. |
F YEAH BACK HOLES! I wish more figures had them.

I talked to a lady at my Walmart and she said the day crew would be stocking these does anyone happen to know what the time most day crews stock at Wally World? She also said they'd be stocking the new MU figures so I have got to know when where I can beat the fucking scalpers they're so many in my area all old men with nothing better to do than make it hard for the actual collectors and kids in my area.
|
I got all of them except the villians and movie Cap today.
I guess I'll be performing some surgical procedures involving switching the basic and deluxe Cap's forearms. The varying degrees of articulation irks me about them. |

I cancelled my order an hour after I bought them, as you can see when I edited my post. They assured me online that it would be cancelled and they would credit me in a few days, that they had to queue my cancellation. Today, I receive an email letting me know that Crossbones and U.S Agent have "shipped," though the UPS tracking number they gave me doesn't work. I am floored I cancelled my order and they shipped... something... to me, but then they cancel your guys orders who were actually wanting to stick with it. Good old K-Mart. They still haven't charged my card either... not sure what the hell is going on. |

I agree. I opened up a few Captain America figures and was kind of disappointed by the paint apps and articulation but that bucky cap looks really nice.

I will say this, I have both the Wave 1 comic series Captain America and the Parachute Captain America and the parachute version looks much better. I was trying to figure out why and noticed that the head of the figure sits higher due to a larger neck and the boots are longer making the figure look much less like Joe Pesci in a Cap costume. |
I'm actually liking this line a lot more than I thought I would. Bucky looks great along side some of the real comic-booky MU looking figures. It does suck that movie lines are a little shorter than MU's, but at least these Cap figs have some bulk to them (and the thicker legs eliminate the bow-leg issue that XMO figs had), so it doesn't stand out as much. And I'm either getting lucky with quality, or I just have lower expectations because of the four Cap figs I've bought so far the only issue is WW2 Cap's sloppy knees (which really isn't a big deal either). The movie Cap fig I got is REALLY close to MU size and overall a pretty high quality figure, if you ask me. My Bucky has a couple of small scratches, but nothing major... and he pops with that paint app.
