We don't mind more options, but I think the general consensus is that we don't want more dedicated variant figures before the rest of the vintage stuff comes out. As far as I'm concerned, Chief Carnivus, Count Marzo, Zodak, Keldor could've been Ram Man, Mekaneck, Jitsu and Mosquitor. Though, from a business standpoint, I can see why they did it the way they did. When a line is young, people are more forgiving and will buy these little side thingies, but as you already experienced with MU, getting tons of Spider-man, Iron-man and Wolverine options gets really annoying when you're waiting for Beast to come out and when he finally does come out, he's NOT the version you anticipated. This is worse with a line like MOTUC where only one figure comes out each month. Grizzlor loin cloth/alt heads/extra accessories, all great. No one argues with that, but some people want completely whole new figures. I don't know how long this line will last, but if we get a 200x Man At Arms and the line dies before we get Jitsu and I think people are going to cry foul.

To be honest; I couldn't give a shit what they make after the last few characters in this image are made.. because I'll be finished then.

http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/a...ractersArt.jpg

Honestly, if we're talking about including a 200x style accessory like they've been doing, then yeah that's great, but if they were to start pushing out a lot of 200x style figures I'll pass all day long.

If there's a demand for the 200x style series they should just make that a line. This is Classics and that's what I want. They're two completely different shows; we're comparing apples to oranges.

Exactly. The reality is that Masters of the Universe is one line with a realistic number of figures that you can accrue to have what one could consider a "complete" collection and the more offbeat side things they put in... well, those feel more like obstacles than anything else... Bonus Accessories: Yes. New Dedicated Figures: No, not until the main roster is complete. BTW, I noticed that Roboto and Sy-Klone are absent from that poster. I feel like they should be in there somehow. LOL...

trebleshot 03-21-2012 11:23 AM

Every time I see that poster, I have to wonder...

What the hell is Mekaneck looking at? And why is he running the other way?

Maybe Sy-Klone and Roboto are over there...

Correct. 200X was animated by Mike Young Productions, which is an American company. They've also done Clifford, the Big Red Dog, Bratz, Voltron: the Third Dimension, and The Twisted Whiskers Show. While the art style for 200X may take cues from anime (such as your examples), it is not.

There, I fixed it. LOL. **HINT** Look at the Road Ripper and the Dragon Walker on this image and then look at the original above. :p

**EDIT** By the way, not sure if anyone heard this, but no figures made after August 15, 2011 will be reissued according to Matty. That means whatever is available for inventory is all there is. They may sell old stock on the store, but once it's gone, it's gone.

thechris 03-21-2012 04:35 PM

Hmmm, I think I'm definitely getting Slush Head. I didn't think I would initially, but being as I have Flipshot and Optikk anyway and I just found out you can fill his helmet with water and it's sealed. LOL. I dunno, I think that's pretty awesome. Mutagen Man was one of my favourite vintage TMNT figures with his floaty guts. :)

Excellent PS-fu! I bow to your superior skills. :bow

You truly know the Way of the Edit.

But seriously, I like your version much better. Especially since it eliminates an unnecessary He-Man and give the Road Ripper a driver (I'm thinking Orko left the keys in the ignition again).

Well that sucks for those just getting into the line. Hopefully, Tiberius is able to get whatever he's after from the back catalogue before they're gone.

Slush Head even sounds like a TMNT mutant character. And I always like MM for the same reason. Easy way to gross out my little sister.

...not that I ever did anything like that. I was a saint to my baby sis. :haha

Tiberius 03-22-2012 10:21 AM

Maybe I will get some mail from Mattycollector for my Birthday....doubt it :(

Thanks, man. I thought it was wrong that Sy-Klone and Roboto were left out of that poster. LOL. :) Yeah, I am so looking forward to Slush Head now. Just started watching some New Adventures again and it's better than I remembered.

I'm pretty happy, I just got a Catra torso in the mail. I got the Goddess figure months ago and like most people who got her, her waist shattered to pieces on the left leg side. I just found out that these figures are insanely easy to take apart without cracking bits. Just a wee bit of heat and pop. The waists attach to the upper torso via a ball joint that pops out with enough force, but be careful. I'm sure it's possible to snap the peg. Anyway, now I have a perfectly functioning Goddess. Yeah, her panties are red and I didn't bother repainting, but who cares? You can't tell AT ALL unless you turn her upside down and stare at her crotch. LOL. For anyone who doesn't have this figure, I've got to say that it is a really nice looking figure even if it's a bonus variant of Teela. :)

Not likely, I haven't gotten Fisto, Fearless Photog and Sorceress yet and that was nearly a month before we placed the orders around the same time... but happy birthday! LOL.

thechris 03-25-2012 02:38 PM

I'm just watching the original Masters of the Universe movie. It sure was dark and scary when I saw it as a child, and it still is. LOL. Courtney Cox was gorgeous on this and she sure aged well, that's for sure. :)

Good ol Dolf, such a badass.

CUSTOM MAN-AT-ARMS DUNCAN HEAD Masters of the universe classics motuc | eBay

thechris 03-26-2012 01:28 AM

^^ Interesting but looks way too 200x/anime inspired. I can already tell that it would look off with the rest of my MOTUC figures.

thechris 03-27-2012 12:26 PM

Haha, look at what finally got here after about 2 months since the day I ordered them. Actually, it's been over 2 months now since I got these on the 15th of January. :)
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...s/whatigot.jpg
Unfortunately, what this means for you Tiberius is that you have about a month to wait before your order gets here. :( Heck, who knows, maybe you'll get lucky. Once I got an order from them 3 weeks after I ordered it. I was shocked at how fast it got here.

ludovicotek 03-27-2012 12:33 PM

^ Very nice. I swear, the figures are getting better. Fisto is one of the best out of the entire line. I got my Kobra Khan last week and he's easily another one of my absolute favorites as well.

Tiberius 03-27-2012 12:59 PM

I got a toyfair this sunday, who knows what goodies I will find MOTUC related =3.

Optimus Vader 03-27-2012 01:17 PM

Bust out that Fisto! I bought one on eBay about a month ago and it never shipped. My dispute is still open with eBay/PayPal, but I had a BBTS POL to ship, so I just bought him from them. No KK yet either.

If anyone is interested, the Mo-Larr set is $27 shipped on Amazon (not a Prime deal either) right now. I can't speak for Canada deals though.

It's going to be two months before I get Kobra Khan. LOL. :(

Coincidentally, I also have a Toy Fair to go to. It seems to be a national thing as the 80s Toy Con is going on in Ontario. :)

Haha, I broke everyone out of their plastic prisons seconds after taking that pic. My buddy called and I was like "Uh huh, uh huh. Yep. Sure." while fiddling with the box cutter. LOL.

Tiberius 03-27-2012 01:52 PM

Amazon.ca doesn't have a toy section. Go Canada...bunch of dumb asses..

thechris 03-27-2012 02:01 PM

Man, now that I have Fisto, I hope they do Stridor, Jitsu and Night Stalker. One thing to note to those who haven't got Sorceress yet, she has less leg articulation than the average female figure... No thigh swivel... What gives. Still an awesome figure, but still. And the face sculpt is awesome, by the way. Absolutely awesome. Mine had perfect paint apps. Adora is still my favourite female face sculpt by far, but she could be a very close second. :)

Optimus Vader 03-27-2012 02:03 PM

How does her ass look?

Tiberius 03-27-2012 02:03 PM

Man...the babes in the MOTU universe are fucking......damn.

It's what you'd expect from her. Tight, firm and covered with feathers.

thechris 03-27-2012 03:53 PM

Shots of the 3 top best female sculpts IMO of the entire line. I just don't find vintage Teela that hot. She's sculpted well and pretty but hot, she is not so much. Battleground Teela is moreso hot, but I don't have the figure yet as it's on it's way.
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...ianbabes-1.jpg
Headshots to show the awesome sculpts. Sooo awesome. :)
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...eadsculpts.jpg

Shin Densetsu 03-27-2012 08:57 PM

I hear Kobra Kahn is pretty bad ass. He looks cool in a nostalgic way. Aside from Man At Arms I want Kid Icarius, Scareglow, Faceless One, and maybe Battleground Teela later. Is it true that she's from the DC comics? I saw a Few scans and that series looked awesome!
