I picked up the DC Icons Afterbirth Batman figure on Wednesday. He's a lot bigger than the older Icons figures and I think he looks fine alongside DCUC and Multiverse figures. It's a shame he didn't come with interchangeable hands or accessories.

Yesterday I got the DC Multiverse Reaper and Batwing from the robot bunny wave. I wasn't planning on buying Batwing but I thought he looked really nice in the package. He is a little underwhelming but you can get him in a decent flight pose. The Reaper is excellent. My only gripe with him is that the knee and ankle joints feel flimsy and fragile.

Then I picked up the new Walgreens Human Torch figure and Vintage Cap too. The Human Torch looks much better in person than in photos and video reviews I've seen online. I think you can explain away the yellow head because that's the only part of his body that is exposed, but if Hasbro would have just made it a little darker colored they would have avoided all the backlash from fans. I still like my Toy Biz Thing figure but I'm really looking forward to that upcoming Mr. Fantastic. Finally, I'm excited about the Vintage Throwback Cap, but I'm holding on to the receipt and keeping him on the card in case I find one with better paint.

Awe man, I did not realize they put Cap's throwing shield effect with a right hand. Cap is left handed and most of the time wears his shield on his left, so he throws it from his left. :-(

Would you show us some comparison shots with the wolf cap?

Took forever, but my order from two week's ago FINALLY came in:

It will be so nice to finally read the stuff leading up to the Alan Moore run since it sucks starting at issue 20 and not knowing what happened before it.

Ordered on website - living on the "very" east coast we are the last to see most stuff so my Target never gets anything until its been out quite a while.

Living in North Carolina, he thinks he's on the easternmost coast and therefore furthest from the docks in California where all the toys we enjoy arrive in the United States.

He's wrong, tho. I live in Maine, which is even further east. Some things never show up here.

Awesome! My brother actually just got his R2 in last Friday and he was pretty stoked to finally have the other half of the droid duo for his collection. I really hope that Hasbro continues to re-issue R2 though, like how they just re-issued the classic Stormtrooper with the Last Jedi wave. R2 is one of the main heroes of the entire series and this 40th vintage card release is only the second time he's been available. They love to make fifty plus versions of Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man in the 6" Marvel Legends line but they have only released R2-D2 twice in the Star Wars 6" line. What gives Hasbro?!

And New York from what I've seen and read, this makes sense since New York is one of the world's "great" markets of trade. Every other state in the US is a mixed bag. Sometimes you get stuff exactly on time, other times stupidly later than everyone else, and worst of all sometimes just plain never. Thankfully the internet exists as an option for the latter cases.

The quality of the book or the stories inside? Because the quality of the book is on par with DC's other omnibuses that aren't titled Justice League Silver Age Volume 2. Story quality wise, it will probably be a year or two before I actually read it as I'm currently reasing the Lee/Kirby Omnibuses for The Fantastic Four (only up to issue 13) and I have their Captain America run waiting for me. Plus, I have my other DC books.

Not that I know of. It's cheapest to ship by boat across oceans. China and California are closest together. from there it goes by truck to stores' distribution centers and then on to the stores.
I suppose they could send ships around to NYC (via Panama) but I'd think it would take another couple weeks.
(Please note, I only play a doctor on TV, I am not now nor have I ever been your friend ... err, an expert on import/export.)

This weekend I will find out what all of the hype surrounding Stranger Things is.

Also, not too happy with a BLU-RAY being shipped in a DVD sized case. WTF is this? I can't fit this on my Disney BD shelf as the shelf has been fitted for BD cases. Now I either have to buy the movie again or find a custom cover that is 100% identical to the Disney cover.

Had some Trade Credit at my Local Comic shop and couldn't find shit so I just Grabbed the Nec Blade runner 2049 Deckard and Officer K. They're incredible I loved the Original Blade runner it's my top 3 Fav Sci if movies of all time. But here's hoping Neca Actually makes a OG Deckard,Pris, Roy, and Leon

My conjecture was just based on what I've seen online in general, I can't definitively say who gets shipments first but a general pattern I've observed is that in America California and New York seem to be the first to get new toys and I figure this makes some sense given the "size" of markets in those states.

The (probable) final Icons releases, all extremely nice though Nightwings arse isn't as well defined as it should be. As with Batgirl I think Icons Supergirl is the definitive action figure version, it's fantastic.

I meant the quality of the stories. If you are going to take that long I may have to grab this myself. I might swing by 2nd and Charles and see if they have it by any chance today.

My guess would be that shipments from China arrive in California and Hasbro distributes them out before release.

Yeah, that might be better than relying on me. I take forever to read things at times. I've never read my Absolute Edition of The Long Halloween despite buying it the day it came out.

Sorry Dr. Kain, I totally spaced this off for a couple of days. The vintage throwback Cap is the same figure as the Wolf Cap except he's got a slightly different paint job and comes with the shield throwing effect peice. I painted the shadow on the front of the Wolf Cap's face, but aside from that it is the standard figure.
