A Giant Sized issue #1 of X men Legends in a box set with Thunderbird, Bansee, Storm, Colossus and Wolverine would be awesome.

Thanks! While Felicia is still one of my favorite female Legends figures to date, I forgot how hard it was to do anything dynamic with her. Nevertheless, had a lot of fun putting those together.

Haven't been able to sleep tonight, so here is a few more. I've been literally waiting a VERY long time to finally have these two together like this...

From Wikipedia:

"Originally, Lonnie Lincoln had no superhuman powers, but has gained them through artificial means as a result of a mutagenic reaction to an experimental preservative gas absorbed into his bloodstream. He possesses physical strength that has been increased beyond his original limits to superhuman levels. Tombstone's body is highly resistant to physical injury and is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, great impact forces, high caliber bullets and toxic gases without sustaining injury. His reflexes, speed, and stamina are likewise heightened beyond a range attainable for normal human beings."

Augustus_Cole 07-13-2017 09:30 AM

lol..that shirt though...he has some fashion issues...or was that Hasbro taking a cheaper route than sculpting a new upper body (jacket, shirt, etc.)

I couldn't do it from my phone, had to get on my laptop and log in through Yahoo, then post the BB code. Make sure you alter the link and just use the link to the picture and remove your name and all the other crap.

Thanks DTL. The last time I was able to put these two together in toy form for a fight was ALL the way back when I had the old Toybiz FOX Cartoon figs from Spider-Man. Despite the cheesy attire, I've always found Tombstone to be a really cool character, and since he has tussle with most of the street level heroes at some point, I hope we can get him in the MCU soon, especially on a Netflix series.

What a boring description of Tombstone's powers from Wikipedia, lol. A better way of putting it is that he is very similar to Luke Cage in superhuman strength and abilities, only that his skin has the density and texture of granite rock. Punching him will get your wrist broken, and stabbing, or shooting him is likely to just get on his nerves unless you're using something high caliber. His teeth have also been sharpened down into fine points, giving him a nasty bite and an intimidating smile.

Tombstone should have been a prime candidate to receive an extra set of hands, since he came with no accessories. It would be nice to be able for him to hold a gun, or at least a baseball bat or crowbar, since he is been known to be both an enforcer and a hitman for various crime bosses before becoming one himself.

Given the power similarity, it would be great to have him and Luke face off. Alternately, if they threw him at Daredevil, it'd be pretty close to a matchup against Spider-Man (though I'm willing to bet that, if we get any powered villains in the next season of Daredevil, it'll be Bullseye).

Note: Hasbro seems to be really mixing it up in character selection for ML...Seem that they are pulling characters from past and that middle of Marvel Legends, even producing some modern characters...Love this!..Getting me to ready more about characters I never knew were in the Marvel Universe...

The iron man figure is nice enough, although I wish the grey was more silver

Phantomcrow 07-13-2017 12:25 PM

While I was not actively looking for the Homecoming 2 pack, I ran across 8 of them at a TRU yesterday. I thought about waiting, but it was a slow toy day, 95 degrees out, and after looking over the paint apps I decided to pull the trigger while I had the choices. A bunch of the Holland hair lines were very off and I always look for a clean Iron Man mask.

They are definitely aware of each other. Pretty much all of the New York based crime-bosses have had a run-in (in some shape or form) with 'Carl Lucas.' They didn't fight, but Tombstone was a featured character in the early issues of the most recent volume of Power Man & Iron Fist. I can't recall if Lincoln and Luke have ever actually fought. Any potential fight between the two would've been more interesting before Luke's strength was augmented. Tombstone is significantly weaker than Spider Man, only being able to press 6 tons. Luke's second augmentation boosted him from 2 tons to Spider Man's level of 10 tons. But Luke's strength is now that of Doc Sampson-levels: 25 tons. Luke would mop Tombstone now...

They did actually sculpt an entirely new upper body for that Tombstone; the "shirt" part is actually slightly raised from the "skin" part, similar to the Walgreens Namor. Plus, they fixed the weirdness of the Hyperion body's neck for it.

Seconded!! What is up with Killmonger's skin in the fight picture though!!??!?!? They gave him 00's Mystique scales. He's actually the only one I'm not sold on, I would much rather have a classic comic Killmonger

I already mentioned what would excited me most about SDCC, what will disappoint me most is if the rumored Black Panther wave is true and instead of all of these wonderful characters we get retreads of Iron Man, Namor and Black Bolt.

It really is too bad that's fake...maybe Hasbro will make it 'real' as people comment, like, and share the photo.

You forgot Nightcrawler.

I said 5-6 pack becasue Wolverine is optional. I'd like to have the Wolverine that goes with the entire Phoenix arc stuff, but at the same time, I prefer the brown costume since it fits the character better.

Captain Nash 07-13-2017 01:45 PM

I really like the Green packaging, I wonder what line would actually get green packaging if done in real life? I mean Hulk would be obvious but given no Hulk movie I doubt we'll get a Hulk line.

Also would love that Dr. Octopus. and Vulture, and Mysterio. That would leave only Morlun for my wants for spider villains.

Edit: @ Dr Kain/Byrne, I would actually think it would be all six and agree Sunfire would likely be left off. If they were to do five I would guess Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus, and either Thunderbird or Banshee. But yeah it would be nice to just not get Wolverine, but we know that's not going to happen.

Dr Kain 07-13-2017 01:49 PM

That Sinister Six set would be awesome. You know, I wouldn't mind getting another BAF Sandman if it meant I could have interchangeable pieces with the previous one.

Actually no, his entire body is a new sculpt.

TheBlueMarvel 07-13-2017 01:53 PM

@Nash

Why has it taken so long to get Morlun? Well, other than the fact that making the fig would demand a brand new body mold...however, it'd be a two-for-one as an easy Sebastian Shaw re-draft...another "Why has it taken so long"-character...

Yeah, the green packaging rocks.

Aside from those four, the other villains I need:

Kingpin
Silvermane (not just a head)
Lizard
Big Man
Black Fox
The Enforcers
Smythe
King Cobra (since they don't seem to want to do him in a Cap Am wave)
Hammerhead (an actual figure)
Demogoblin (rumored)
Prowler (rumored)
Carrion
Shriek
Jonathan Ceasar
Rose

I know there is someone else I am forgetting.

I think a pack like that is the only way we would get Thunderbird unless they some day decide to do a Warpath figure that comes with a Thunderbird head.

At the risk of sounding like we need to have our figures start strutting out on catwalks, we totally need a "high fashioned" dressed up figures for both male and women, as there's plenty of females that wear dresses, mainly old-time villainesses. And yes, Sebastian Shaw is a huge missing character. I hope and pray for a Hellfire club set one day.

Vermin maybe? ANd yeah Kingpin for sure, I just consider him more a DD villain, even if he did get his start in SM.

With our luck on a five pack it would be Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, (good choices) and Wolverine and Cyclops. Although....I would be very happy to give up Thunderbird/Banshee if the 5th figure was a Professor X.

if i remember correctly..not too-too long ago he beat the living sh&t out of spider-man and left him a bloody mess. ..i think right after that spiderman emerged with some new powers....and i think that story line was very short-lived..

yeah that was The Other storyline. I'm not sure it's held to canon but I think he actually killed Spider-Man...or at least he's come closer than any other villain and that's saying quite a lot.

*gasp! I spider-Man story I actually know and can reference!" That was back in the day when I was reading about 30 titles monthly though...
