I told a fellow arker the same thing!!! It looks like he's wearing a ping pong ball on his head! That helmet needs to be more oblong, And IMO the suit needs more ridge detail.

olslick 07-13-2012 04:25 PM

You know why I wish I was rich? I mean Mitt Romney rich. Not so I can afford to pay off these bottom feeding, fuckhead scalpers, who have done nothing at all to deserve a payday and contribute nothing to the culture they constantly exploit... no that's not why.

What I would do is buy up all the pre-sale, midnight showing tickets to the Dark Knight Rises and stand outside the theater, selling the tickets at 2, then maybe 3 times the face value.

I'd do this, just to see how long it takes for the throngs of indignant nerds to round up a bona-fide, torches and pitchforks mob and murder me. I can't imagine it would take very long.

Now I that brings me to my point, when are we gonna tar and feather these motherfuckers?

I totally agree I'm amazed how others react to anything announced no matter how lousy

olslick 07-13-2012 04:29 PM

What blows my mind is people scalping at the actual place one would be to procure these damn things. Like, "Dude, you just bought this for $30, ten feet away. Now you want to sell it to me for $60. How do you manage to walk around with those giant balls you have?"

Surprise they don't get mugged for the figures, but it does show that we still have manners which is great....

Tarooster 07-13-2012 04:34 PM

So we're getting mysterio and Elektra, that's cool. Two figures who shouldve been made already, now let's see what they announce tomorrow.

No. It shows that SOME of us have manners. Why are the well mannered ones always on the losing end of the exchange?

Torn Prince 07-13-2012 04:41 PM

I'd love to see a decent Emma figure, as I was not satisfied with the ML version.

olslick 07-13-2012 04:42 PM

Tell ya what, I appreciate MU so much, I would easily pay a $40 dollar a year "subscription" fee to have guaranteed access to Hasbro exclusives. Con exclusives and store exclusives. Give me the opportunity to buy one of each of whatever I'm into, and that's money well spent as far as I'm concerned.

Why can't I just skip the middle man? Especially when the middle man is Comic Con (Con is right there in the title) and Wal Mart.

But nooooo. That would be too fair and sensible and profitable.

I'm sorry that you don't share my enthusiasm. I love that Mysterio figure. I believe that it's a prototype and may be improved upon. Love it!

I enjoy the hunt too much myself. I think I would get bored with a deal like that. I'm not affected by Comic con because I'm too far away. I'm not even really sweating it over the MOE 3 pack and the X Force set, I figure I'll get em eventually, and hopefully at a good price.

bmorr 07-13-2012 04:46 PM

im just glad were getting more figures. we should all be happy about that for petes sake.

Yeah I am too. But some people have to complain about something. Its the way of the world.

NoodleChow 07-13-2012 04:50 PM

and i imagine tomorrow's panel won't be anything like the star wars panel which was utterly depressing.

Well....They are MAKING more figures. GETTING them still seems to be a problem.

olslick 07-13-2012 04:57 PM

Nah, don't get me wrong. I'm stoked for all the new stuff. And I certainly don't feel entitled. I'm just so enthusiastic, it becomes a drag to imagine a ton of cool stuff I may not be able to get because the cost is ridiculous and totally unwarranted.

And, again, not because I feel entitled or because I couldn't afford the stuff. It's because I spend so damn much already.

I appreciate MU and support it in the good times and the bad!

olslick 07-13-2012 05:01 PM

Sometimes I like to Imagine MU as a pretty lady. And I just wanna take her out, you know? Take her for a real good meal. Treat her real nice like and pay her phone bill.

It's just every once in a while, girl does me wrong. Come home from work real late an she ain't home. And I wonder, "Damn, baby why dontcha treat me right, baby?"

synapse17 07-13-2012 05:03 PM

Who's the chick in the display in all white with the parachute?

Pros From Dover 07-13-2012 05:05 PM

Agent 13/Sharon Carter is my guess.

But what do I know?

bmorr 07-13-2012 05:11 PM

yeah thats more than likely her. but didnt they already produce her in some 2 pack a few years back?

It seems so. However it is probably just custom made by the diorama creator. The same goes for Purple Man.

There's nothing wrong with a since of entitlement here. Hasbro is a business. Sure it's true that a lot of the decisions they make are geared towards kids. Thats their bread and butter. But I want to see the line of parents at SDCC... They're not there. This shit is supposed to be for us. Collectors/fan-boys. We are still a strong part of their support base. They do this shit to keep us hooked. I worked in advertising, it's all about keeping you hooked. How many enjoy the hunt more or as much as having...? It's an addiction. But I like my crack at a fair market price.

But this scalping shit is a new low. There is no justification for what's going on here.

I encourage all arkers who feel the same to call #1-800-255-5516 and politely explain your disapointment.
