*gasp! I spider-Man story I actually know and can reference!" That was back in the day when I was reading about 30 titles monthly though...

It's still canon, although Kaine Parker is now "The Other". Cindy Moon/Silk also plays heavily into those stories.

Morlun and his entire family were the antagonists for the Spider-Verse storyline, as they were all from Marvel's Earth 1 and would travel across the multi-verse picking off all of the Spiders and feeding on them to maintain their immortality, including Spider-Men from every possible timeline including Marvel vs. Capcom, Hostess Fruit Pie ad Spider-Man, and Stan Lee newspaper strip Spider-Man.

With all of the alternative Spider-Man figures coming out, it would actually be appropriate to put out Morlun at some point.

Olathe?

We need a toad too...though i have to say i actually prefer his xmen movie look ( his outfit ) more so id like to see something close to that.

I hope Hasbro is hearing this! Man if we got Morlun we have a great body base for Shaw, Mastermind, Donald Pierce...there I got with the Hellfire CLub again lol.

@Nitelife...but you know what happens when lightening strikes a toad?

Could they repurpose Sifs into that?

I still wanna know what the F is up with Killmonger's fishscales skin.

Why has it taken so long to get Morlun? Well, other than the fact that making the fig would demand a brand new body mold...however, it'd be a two-for-one as an easy Sebastian Shaw re-draft...another "Why has it taken so long"-character...

Plus they could reuse parts for a Dracula.

And yes, Sebastian Shaw is a huge missing character. I hope and pray for a Hellfire club set one day.

Dresses are a bit overboard IMO lol, but if you want them, who am I to begrudge your wishlist! I like the idea of suits for heroes that are inclined to wear them. Stark, obviously. A smart pant-suit for Sage ;) Hahaha! Maybe Panther could have an African-motif suit for visits to the U.N. A redo of She-Hulk's skirt-suit would be cool. For non-suit wearing heroes maybe contemporary civies...

if i remember correctly..too-too long ago he beat the living sh&t out of spider-man and left him a bloody mess. ..i think right after that spiderman emerged with some new powers....and i think that story line was very short-lived..

Yeah, man. He beats the piss out of Spidey, but Petey's been beaten up like that before...Juggs lumped him up pretty badly also. That's kinda a thing with the Web-Head and the reason some think he's weak when it's quite the opposite.

EDIT:

How could I forget...of course Dracula.

Byrnes 07-13-2017 03:15 PM

So I was looking at the rumored 2018 list. The figures reveled so far have been pretty close for what's been shown. Thor/Spiderman so far.

So if it stays true to the list. The Lizard would be the BAF in the next Spiderman Wave and Strong Guy may be the BAF in the Deadpool wave.

Still need a Doc Ock, Kingpin and Mandiran sometime soon. Can't wait the SDCC reveals next Sat.

Captain Nash 07-13-2017 03:23 PM

Do we have a schedule for next week/weekend? I know they previewed some figures on Thursday but most of the big stuff was Saturday...

It is a Tribal Scarification thing. You see it in a lot of native tribal rituals. Think of it like a tattoo but the skin is "Branded" , or something like that, I don't know the technique, so the skin ends up being raised.

But guys, but guys, seriously guys, what if Hasbro does Spot? :D

I'm assuming that's a sort of traditional subdermal implant method practiced by his tribe in the film. Maybe it'll be explained? I was noticing it too when the pics first hit.

They didn't fight, but Tombstone was a featured character in the early issues of the most recent volume of Power Man & Iron Fist. I can't recall if Lincoln and Luke have ever actually fought. Any potential fight between the two would've been more interesting before Luke's strength was augmented. Tombstone is significantly weaker than Spider Man, only being able to press 6 tons. Luke's second augmentation boosted him from 2 tons to Spider Man's level of 10 tons. But Luke's strength is now that of Doc Sampson-levels: 25 tons. Luke would mop Tombstone now...

Oh, I meant in the MCU/Netflix stuff, not comics-wise.

Thanks for that! I had no idea that was something that was practiced. That would definitely explain the look, and if that's the explanation I give praise to the filmmakers for including something this realistic yet small detailed into the movie. It just caught me by surprised because I don't think he's had that in the comics.

Did Hasbro mess up the Spidey eyes. every single review so far has the poorly painted right eye.
