I feel like they need to do some non-Spider themed heroines from the spideyverse like Silver Sable and Jackpot. and then they need some more female villains like Shriek, White Rabbit, Stunner, Joystick and Scream

Good chance we might be seeing Scream, since she was on the fan vote last year as was Lasher, and Lasher is already rumored to be coming in a future wave this year.

If we get all the Life Foundation Symbiotes, I will walk away from Marvel Legends forever a happy man.

I'd definitely would be down for Shriek, and let's add Lily Holister (as Menace preferably, but I would settle for Queen Cat) along with Typhoid Mary, Lady Bullseye, and Colleen Wing. I would love to see a Felicity Hardy Scarlet Spider as well, just to pair her up with our previous Mayday Parker figure.

I was spot on with every MCU Marvel Legend character this year. For the Black Panther release I can see T'Challa, Okoye, Nakia, Killmonger, and M'Baku. Given every wave is starting to have a 2 pack, I see one of these being released in a 2 pack with another version of T'Challa. Glad I only collect MCU Marve Legends. Keeps my den looking fresh and pockets ready for more.

They probably also didn't want to take up another spot in one of the waves for a movie figure. You always get people complaining that there are too many movie characters and not enough comic ones and Guardians 2 in particular had a lot of characters released this year already.

It always gets me when I here people say that. There are way more comic figures than MCU figures. To each there own, but watching people get furious over it is when it gets a little funny. Not a fan of releasing the same figure twice with no difference(Star-Lord), but I'm such a big fan of the figures and they keep getting better and better.

I hope you are right, though I could see Shuri getting a figure over Okoye since from what know so far she is more prominent and hands on. Ideally we'd get both.

I hope so too. Both would work just fine for me. Lol

Oh I agree. But it's a common enough sentiment and Hasbro seems to try and want to have both parties pleased by doing an even split of comic and MCU characters.

Spyne98 07-14-2017 07:07 AM

I don't really buy the movie figures, but I'm not exactly mad that the movie toys exist. To each their own. In the end, it saves me some money.
But I might change my tune if we get some Black Panther movie figures. Those designs are pretty sweet!

hasbroherofan 07-14-2017 07:12 AM

Speaking of MCU stuff, seeing how good Hot Toys' new Ghost Rider looks, I really want to see Hasbro do one in the future.

I want a Roberto Reyes Ghost Rider...the design is slick.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...712_220850.jpg

The Face Off Caps are a testament to both everything that Toybiz was doing right and everything that they were doing wrong during the era. On the right side, the sculpts on the FO Caps were very good, with fully sculpted armor, wrinkles and texturing in the hood, gloves and boots, and some awesome paint apps with subtle washes all over the figure.

On the downside, for as many points of articulation the FO figures have, the most important parts, the shoulders, are mostly useless thanks to the sculpt. Cap can not raise his arms horizontally more than 10 degrees, nor can he bring his arms down to his side's properly, giving him a gorilla stance. You also have to be very careful in attempting to move the arms, because the figure has the infamous, fragile, Toybiz butterfly joints. The neck juts forward in a weird way, giving him a hunch back appearance, and again, since this is a Toybiz figure, all of the other joints as well are subject to snapping off thanks to the dubious amounts of paint and wash applied over them. He's just not a very fun figure to try and pose.

Honestly, if you were gonna pick up just one Cap figure From Toybiz, I would go for the original series 1 figure. While the body is obviously a bit outdated, I feel it still holds up fairly well, and has an articulation scheme not all that different from what Hasbro is using now, and unlike the FO Caps...it all works. Plus the head sculpt is incredible.

I feel I should mention the Ultimates Cap as well as being a fairly good figure as well...although I am biased since I actually enjoyed this version of the character in the comics more than I did the 616 version. Much of the FO versions body mold was repurposed from this figure, only that the articulation on Ultimates Cap was much better. You just have to get past the head sculpt, which looks okay at certain angles, while at others, looks off and gives Cap the appearance of having a huge, cartoony jaw and underbite. The detail on the figure though is phenomenal, but again, your feelings towards the figure might also stem from whether or not you enjoyed this version of the character.

One thing that is a positive among all of the figures though...the shield. The shields that came with the Toybiz Caps DESTROY Hasbro's in nearly every way, and I wish that Hasbro would copy them. They're perfect.

Thanks for the reviews, that's great info/comparison! I do have the cap wolf one which is nice, but I like look of the older ones. After seeing this comparison, that Series 1 looks really good.

Exactly the way to do it. A nice blend of both, and with so many figures being released we are getting what we all want.

thnaks for the pics, im liking the one on the left, bottom pic. the other one has a hulking frame, doesnt suit the Cap.

Harbinger 07-14-2017 09:31 AM

I just want the best look of a character, be it movie or comic. Like the baf hulkbuster ( despite hasbro chonsin out on the paint apps ) is the best lookin hb armor to me, as well as mcu panther so those are my defaults on the shelf, but cap wolf and baf juggernaut arm my faves of hose characters so they stamd on my shelf. To me its whatever version looks the best to me so be it movie comic or a hybrid of the two they all stand together on my shelves.

Nostalgic 07-14-2017 09:47 AM

I just picked up Moon Knight at Target. I had the Spider-Man in my hand, but changed my mind last minute. It's a really cool costume, but I'm not big into the toys based on the movie characters, so I'm not sure what I'd pose him with. Not sure if I made the right choice or not.
I really want Tombstone, but he was the only figure from the line that they didn't have.

Panther 07-14-2017 10:11 AM

Just picked up the Spider-Man/Mark 47 Iron Man 2-Pack from Toys R Us. I really like these two figures. Since I have the Spider-Man from the Vulture BAF wave, I plan on displaying this Spider-Man without his mask. I would post pictures but...Photobucket. Lol.

Night Rider wasn't 'Night Driver.' :p Plus, I'll take his Charger as Marvel Legends' first fully scaled car...that thing is sick.

Well technically kitt could drive himself so mikey was technically a rider....... :p And yah it would be sick to get a scaled charger vehicle, though im sure hasblow would overprice it and fall back on their ususal scapegoat " of well we put it out but no one would pay the price for it."

You got me on KITT, but I do believe that Ghost Rider vehicles have some degree of remote guidance, if not actual sentience. I call BS on that other part, Nite. I'd buy it. Many others would also grab it, if only to customize it given that it'd be 1:12 scale. And you'd buy it...didn't you buy a Black Series Tie-fighter?? ;):p

Ditto, just for the Iron Man. Some obvious ideas and applications spring to mind...
