I'm not aware of this Dwight Stall. What are the instances of him being a 6" elitist? I mean I seem to remember them saying they're fans of the 6" Legends but never thought they had anything against 3.75". Not that that isn't obvious given how we've gotten the shaft everytime

In 2009 I decided to collect 3.75" Marvel because it was cheaper and took up less space than 6", it seemed to be the way that the toy market was going (anyone remember Infinite Heroes?!) and because I wasn't that into Marvel.

I wouldn't make the same decision now.

Also, super important new for Captain Marvel. The film is going to be the MCU's second period piece, taking place in the 1990's. Skrulls are confirmed as well as Fury, who will have two eyes. A lot of people think that the line from TWS, "Last time I trusted someone I lost an eye" now has something to do with Fury losing his eye from a Skrull. Hopefully this also means that Secret Invasion is the MCU's next huge arc.

man they gotta bring peggy and especially coulson back. I so wanna see 90s coulson.

And Heatwave.

I remember Infinite Heroes. My favorite wast the Hal Jordan that came with the First Flight DVD. Always wanted the 3-pack with Sinestro, Kyle/Parallax, and translucent John Stewart to go with him but I never found it though. Still need to get around to picking up Star Sapphire off of eBay since she'll fit in with all the 3.75 DCC GLs I've got.

Anyway sorry about that. As for the 3.75 MU it was the XMO line that got me into it and I've never looked back.

Jackieboy 07-23-2017 10:56 AM

Dwight stalls reaction to 3.75 fan heartbreak XD

loving that deadpool "pride" pack!!!

Jay West 07-23-2017 11:40 AM

I know this is probably more appropriate for the compatibility thread, but since customizing is about all we have left I guess this is appropriate. So 4 inch at SDCC?
Alien Marines
Rainbow Deadpool (yuck)
Thor 2 packs
Acid Rain
Star Wars
Powerlords (maybe first waves were 4 inch but these might be 6)
Reaction

Was that it? Did Hasbro have the last wave of Jessica Jones and Goldtron there?
Did Funko have any new 9 POA figures?

Madame Warlock 07-23-2017 12:17 PM

angery

ukmu 07-23-2017 12:35 PM

They did NOT have the current wave out. Seems like it has been shown last year and again at ToyFaire, I believe.

Oh Dwight...I think this is the SDCC that finally makes me fully despise you.

Thanks for posting that. So they also confirmed that marvel vs capcom is going to be a "one off" target exclusive of mega man and iron man repacked for the 100th time. I was hoping we'd get another pack from the game.
They also confirmed that the deadpool rainbow figures will be single carded if I'm not mistaken? So I'm guess this year we get the secret empire cap/ gold ultron/ Jessica jones / spidey 2099/ AoA magneto wave and maybe when deadpool 2 comes out we get the rainbow deadpools in another wave.

I for one just hope the line dies for a bit till a team with smarts and enthusiasm can re-launch it.

Till then, my money is still on 4" but mostly on all the various BOSS FIGHT Studio partner projects. And a little Hiya Toys Aliens/Predators, and my kid has been getting Dragonball Z Shodo 4".

Yep. There are way too many other cool toys out there that want our money and cater to us...

Your son summed it up pretty damn well.. since I'm not getting any SDCC stuff this year I splurged on a switch this week and took the kids to Dan TDM today, cheeky Brit he was.

Marvel or not, there's no denying that ROM is already a definite must-have and on-par with Renegades Roadblock in terms of collectability from that entire set.

THANK YOU for the gift. That was epic.

You know it kind of does feel like that doesn't it? Or like a relationship that's going south... you still call the chick for the occasional lewinski, but that's about it. I feel like hasbro is just using us for money.. which they do of all collectors but they are blatant with us. On the bright side At least they didn't cancel the line... I suppose the line still sells and makes money so hopefully we still get some gems out of the scale. I am excited for skurge and that ragnorok hulk.
Hulk always sells at the toy aisle! Hulk strongest there is!

Also @ kamatayan thanks for the gift!

Funny, Hulk isn't the strongest, but neither is Superman. It is actually "some guy dressed up as a bat. THIS HOBBY NEEDS AN ENEMA!"

Good on you Kerns. Dan TDM has been a household name here years. He even has a toy line! Good to spend time and money on family, although I'd rather spend it on figures! Lol

Getting MFSkurge almost makes up for it in a way, in terms of not getting an exclusive. Better to have one great must have than four that are meh.

If the Skittles are single carded then that is a double nut punch. As a whole wave, or 50% of our yearly production will be awarded to them.

I'm sure you guys saw that Skrulls will be in the MCU via Ms. Marvel film. Marvel Studios got them back from Fox somehow. Perhaps Secret Invasion for the New Avengers cinema build up?
