May I just put forth a small theory?

Maybe the reason they can crap on this line so much is because the only ones who ever complain seem to be only on forums?

Seriously, who is the collector's voice at SDCC? Who always reports the news of this stuff on YouTube(when they can notice it)? It's always people with a 6 inch bias. They're the ones who have the power to vocalize complaints, but Hasbro waves their 26 shiny keys in their faces, and they skip to the questions about female elbows. I think if we want to actually influence the industry in any small way, we need to get YouTube vocal. We need to take what we talk about here into a more noticeable format, and hope we're good enough to get the message heard. Now, many of you probably already have a YouTube account of some kind, and post what you will on there, but a consensus of complaints can't be gathered if no one's around to put them out there.

AFI had a Q&A forum but Hasbro stopped responding to it long before even Mattel did. Psychoanalyze that.

I mean, shit on the line; hell even end it. Please don't mock us though. It was painful enough watching the announcement of 26 new 6" figures but the lack of respect and then taking the mick on top of all that? You sir, are well deserved of all these pics and so much more! Shame on you.

Mock and thou shalt be mocked.

Is the number to call and complain. HASBRO HQ corporate line. You won't have to go through so many channels, this should reach the top.

Call and KINDLY leave your opinion and thoughts. Please don't get loco or they won't take us seriously. MU fan is right, enough complaining. Let's make a difference. Waiting for someone else has gotten us no where and quick. Time to become proactive.

Together perhaps we can help make it so. Let's work together and create a campaign! Thoughtful calls, letters of complaints, and an idea to present them. It can't just be "hey, we want better stuff" and "why no articulated wrists dude" but rather clear concise inquiries.

I'd actually like to watch said interview too. How can you laugh at a scale your company is still making product in?

BeRealNickNaro 07-29-2017 05:36 AM

I've been planning on starting a channel doing a podcast with collector and customizer interviews if any of you guys are interested in being interviewed. Sort of Joe Rogan style but about toys obviously.

I'd love to represent the scale at conventions.

kellerw1025 07-29-2017 06:03 AM

I totally agree uk I think your definitely on to something

You should probably find someone with a bit of recognition to interview early on. That will probably bring in more people.

I'm up for talking about stuff though, depending on the means by which we do it, but I shall warn you that my off script is terrible.

I do definitely see your method as more effective, but I do think some channels would be somewhat effective as well. I mean, just look at Star Wars. The 3.75 inch super articulated figures have channels that somewhat focus on them, and the respect they're now being shown with the Vintage Collection shows that some vocalization of opinions goes a long way.

Granted, I think the designers just respect the property's roots in general, but considering the past few years, and fan outcry, I suspect that they needed some influence, and YouTube is the best bet for influence here.

Yeah, absolutely. I think I'd have some standard questions to work from. I'm an actor as well, so I'm confIdent in my ability to keep the conversation going.

I think they are "saving" the Thanos pack with NERF gauntlet as a big reveal. Or just chuck it out there last minute like they did with Pool Party Pack at San Diego. That could very well be all that we get. Seems to be more geared towards interactive games and such and family atmosphere rather than toy reveals.

Right so now 6 inch collectors get an additional exclusive granted X Force dead pool has been done before but wth? And while speaking of dead pool they throw us a skittles pack of dead pools but we can't get a back in black version to go with them? Again wth?

MeLikeJinx 07-29-2017 12:58 PM

I think as long as I actually get those AoA Magneto and Jewel MU figs I'm good. Kinda weird to have no MU or Joes at retail anymore though... it is like we are back to pre-2007/2008 days for me.

What is that orange hulk in the background?

I think that X force deadpool is 12" scale.

not where I live. sandmans, hyperions, grim reapers, hydromans everywhere. I'll probably never see the jessica jones wave at retail because of it.

Yeah I just got excited that there was a 3.75" Marvel line I had never heard of. It's just a shame that they're so pricey overall.

That is a cool figure. I didn't realize those were in the best scale. I always thought they were like 5" or so.

Oh yah for sure... my TRU has bazillion of the hydroman wave too (except every punk Rogue got bought)... just meant new stuff to look forward to in the coming year. I think this is the first time I am experience zero hype for anything 3.75" scale in a very long time... not even for Star Wars.

I think that X force deadpool is 12" scale.

Marvel Legends 6″ Scale – X-Force Deadpool (that's from the front page article)

ReIssue 07-29-2017 08:48 PM

Got the ragnarok gladiator two-pack. Thor is small and that face is horrible, and gladiator Hulk is Nice but smallish. Thor's nowhere near the level of the civil war falcon, which I liked a lot. Or even the homecoming pack. I'll get a few for custom fodder just in hopes of supporting the scale though!
