Anyone want a Netflix Elektra for 20 shipped no BAF?

Got my loose one from Dorkside but she's not doing it for me.

Would also trade for Vulture parts.

Tomax 07-18-2017 11:54 PM

at 14:17 he measures it, youre welcome.

Why shouldn't he be?

It's not just the artists drawing him bigger, Marvel themselves changed his height. Look at him in the Avengers films, he's 8.5 feet tall. I think his 8+ feet height looks the best. 7 feet tall is too short in my opinion considering some people in the NBA would look down to him.

Besides, it's not a new thing, he's been like this for years. Even Blob is 8 feet tall (before being de-powered) and Juggernaut is like 9.5

I've read Hulk since the 80's when he was 7 feet or shorter and I'm fine with the height increase. Makes him stand out even more and look even more imposing.

It obviously comes all down to opinion but Marvel thinks he should be taller, and I'm fine with that.

well you've got two of the cooler ones!
I like the Vulture more and more as time goes on and not even because of the movie..more because of his looks..

and that Onslaught...man..EVERY time i look at that thing i think...it needs a paint do over to make it look sick...the same as Hulkbuster..
its on my to-do list to get each of those repainted one day.

Had a thought (for funsies) the X-Men wave will be the "strongest" yet someone said....

Strong Guy
Juggernaut
Colossus
Rockslide
Slab
Forearm
Beef

The A-Force pack is supposedly going up on the TRU website at some point tomorrow. That's all I know, the SDCC exclusives tend to show up a couple of weeks later....but that could always change.

Edited for correct...it's early. I'm more awake than my mind is.

Hulk's size and proportions vary wildly depending on who is drawing him, so it's really no big deal. I mean if Hulk being a foot too tall is a deal breaker for someone more power to 'em, I guess, but that seems kind of anal retentive at this point.

Not Hasbro's website, TRU's, as it's a TRU exclusive. And I forget if it's tomorrow, or Friday that it goes up. Also might be worth it to check Entertainment Earth as well, since they're the booth seeking the set at SDCC.

D'oh!. Thank you. I have updated my post to reflect that. I'm not sure where my brain is today. HTS doesn't get TRU sets.

Augustus_Cole 07-19-2017 07:38 AM

thanks..
anyone know what time on TRU site??

I like that list, but Juggs and Colossus would need different looks. Easy costume change for Colossus, maybe Juggs could have open hands. I might even go with Cain in his civilian gear and Colossus as the Juggernaut. I'd also swap out Slab, Forearm, and Beef. I'd replace them with Sebastian Shaw, Monet, and Gentle.

Dr Kain 07-19-2017 08:23 AM

Hulk's size varies upon version. Gray version is 6.6, regular green one is supposed to be between 7-8 feet. Either way, he is supposed to be shorter than Juggernaut, who is 9.5 feet.

Harbinger 07-19-2017 08:48 AM

Made a Cat deadpool or...Catpool. Based him on my own cat Sam.

The problem with citing unofficial wikis to supplement knowledge is that the info is often inaccurate and arbitrary. The actual listed height for Juggs, according to the Marvel Universe and the Marvel Encyclopedia, is 6'10". In contrast, the official height of the Hulk is listed as 7'. Now, obviously, artists have not adhered to that rubric given that there's no universe-wide standard and interpretation largely-rests in the hands of the illustrator. 'Traditionally,' the Hulk and Juggs have been drawn (and listed) as roughly the same size, as they very well should be. We've rehashed many times over now the fact that declarative statements about height and weight stats have no meaning anymore - especially when the source of the info is a wiki edited by impressionable fans - there's a reason why educators won't allow wiki to be sourced for research.

Juggy sometimes wears platform shoes maybe? J/k, i just chalk it up to artistic license. No one will ever always be drawn 100% the same way.

Lol...just like Tom Cruise

Agreed. I used to be a stickler for it, but it doesn't really matter any longer. Those days have long passed...

Hmmmmmmm, I guess you are right because I just looked in the bios of my X-Men Omnibus and it does say Juggernaut is 6'10". Odd. Although, I've clearly seen him bigger than Hulk in an issue or two.

BTW, I was looking at the Marvel site earlier, not some random fan made wiki page.

bigkid24 07-19-2017 10:26 AM

Well at least they aren't trying to use movie scales. In the last Hulk (Ed Norton) movie I think he was 12 feet tall.

TheBlueMarvel 07-19-2017 10:36 AM

Buy copies of The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Deluxe Edition, or, at the very least, The Marvel Encyclopedia before quoting 'official' stats. Apparently, Marvel's website can't be bothered to source its own published repositories of information...pretty much says everything you need to know about Marvel's current state.

...also, Marvel.com links out to a Wiki, which can be edited. Definitely a red-flag as far as using it for the sake of posterity. Step up your game, Marvel.

It's pretty funny how much heights and weights vary source to source

@Nitelife- Nice Catpool!!!

Riddick 07-19-2017 12:15 PM

What's even crazier is The Thing's official height is 6 feet tall lol.

The Marvel handbooks, the wiki pages, all of it gets thrown out the window as others said when it comes to how these characters get drawn so who knows.

Just go with what ever you think it should be.

Seems the action figures though are going for the taller depiction of 8-9 feet tall with Juggernaut, Blob and Hulk. I personally love his height in the movies at 8.5

Yeah, it really is man. But ultimately, it boils down to what your're most familiar/comfortable with given your era of introduction (IMO)...
