So much for solid Vision being re-released.

;)

I'm out...... later guys....very annoyed right now...

Snowflakian 07-14-2012 05:13 PM

Guys keep in mind they have a backlog of releases still to get out now thanks to the movies.

It's corporate suicide to make new when you've got a large batch that hasn't even hit market yet. So once MU catches up, then we'll start hearing about the plans for series 4.

Agree, What's the retail price of Legend's, around $16.00 a fig. Their more than twice the size of Universe. And I don't think as many people collect them.
As for kids, wouldn't they want toys that could fit with and in all their Joe and Star Wars shit. I just don't see how Universe is so expensive that they couldn't do a MUCH BETER JOB!!!

Waited hours to see what's new... Apparently nothing.

I really don't like you today Hasbro...

Sadisticace1091 07-14-2012 05:13 PM

are there any pics up of collosonaught, or emma?

D00MTR0N 07-14-2012 05:13 PM

well once legends falls on its face perhaps they will see the it was a bad move and bring back MU.

yeah, great thinking hasbro, dump a line that sells and is $9.99 for a line that does not sell well and costs $15.

WalkingDeadpool 07-14-2012 05:17 PM

This is what we do to fight back...Bend all the card backs everytime you see a legends fig on the shelf....That will teach hasbro.......

Tarooster 07-14-2012 05:17 PM

Yeah I think it's one or the other, they don't wanna put that many resources into two separate lines. People clamored for legends back, and they got them so now it will be the focus then people will clamor for MU and it will e the focus again. They're not gonna just say the line is dead when there's still money to be made at some point.

synapse17 07-14-2012 05:17 PM

With all the crap we've been promised and then denied, They should offer us an online coupon to say we feel your pain. Stick with us will catch up eventually.:mad1

i'm just afraid we'll end up justifying poor or no MU distribution to iron man 3 and thor 2 next year.

bitman2 07-14-2012 05:18 PM

Easy to understand,Jesse Falcon pushed ML , Vonner MU, Falcon still there , Vonner gone,MU screwed.

If they only have legends scale, I doubt it.
If they have a joe scale line, then maybe. At that point though hopefully series 3 will be caught up and that'll give them time to prep series 4 for awesome.

With what they do have left though. They've got some nice material for 3 packs with the upcoming movie seasons. We've got stuff that'd work perfect for X-Men movies, Spider-man, fantastic 4, even cosmic (with variants of DarkHawk, Nova, and Adam Warlock or death's head). So all around, I'm not too worried so long as my fix keeps a coming.

Plus with the bucks they have now, like She-Hulk, we've got 3 figures that could come from that. Sensational She-Hulk (what we're getting), Savage She-hulk(red hair), and Red She-Hulk. Not to mention the figures that could come from the professor X mold too.

So all in all, I'm comfy with the future of MU for now. Though being shown a figure of the new Quasar design would have been nice. Maybe we'll get lucky and during the Guardians movie they'll slot him into a 3 pack alongside beta ray bill and anyone else from the team that can be easily made from what's available.

Things look just fine.

Really, how much more stuff can they keep showing/announcing while there's such a backlog of unreleased figures??
From a business perspective, it's stupid for them to keep making prototype with a year of inventory ready to go.
We still have (drumroll please)
Nighthawk
The MoE set
ALL of waves 18 and 19
New AvX comic packs
Old Man Logan exclusive (not some crappy repaint- YEAH!)
Electra
Emma Frost
Collusus-Juggernaut
Inhumans boxed set
That Giant Ultimo
Pending stuff like the Black Knight, Masterson Thor, Thunder Frog, etc.

Really, there's a minimum of 25-30 figures that have not hit retail in any way and we're still worried about the line?!?

That's three times the number of ML figures announced and no one is saying "The sky is falling!" over that line...

I think our love of MU (and big reveals at prior shows) has colored some of our expectations- and the occasional doomsayer that promounced the line dead only feeds into our dread that, in spite of all evidence otherwise, the line is ending.

Really, unless they officially announce something, lets go with what they actually said- that the line was pushed bak because of The Avengers and it should be easier to find new upcoming stuff.

yeah and my LCS sells them at $20 something so even the secondary market markups will be worse.
