Just sad that the original promo pics for Enchantress looked so great and the actual final product had such a horrid result.

Ill take the enchantress of ypur hamds if you are not using her. Need a extra skirt for a custom ;)

Yeah I had to do some digging to find an Enchantress that I was okay with and it's still not ideal. The worst part to me is that a couple of days later I found an Enchantress with both eyes done right but the Skurge in that pack had a white splotch of paint on his chest like he was sloppy with his ice cream cone and then I'm too lazy or polite to have gotten that set just to swap out my Enchantress for that one. It's still definitely a set worth pursuing just because the Skurge is such a good figure and in his case finding one that looks good is no challenge.

I'm actually going to try fixing her, sorry. I know you'd put it to great use! I love the rest of the figure it's sad that just the eyes are so off.

Universe 08-13-2017 07:41 AM

Saw both Thor 2 packs, (all the derpy eyes and paint jobs) walked halfway to the register and said to myself "do I really want this junk?". Left it at store.

@Nitelife thanks bro

I can wait for it to clearance. If i have to overhaul amora ( like ya said uky MFin skurge is perf ) then i can't justify full price for it.

LordMudd 08-13-2017 11:22 AM

I see both figures as good custom fodder.

Here's my batch of Crystar figures I mentioned last week.

And among some of the other figures I got in the past week
(it's been a bit tough on the wallet. Didn't realize all of my pre-orders were coming in at the same time)

I bought both packs at full price because I'm hoping it helps show Hasbro people are still committed to this scale. This might be a fool's hope.

Word! Same, also with Spidey 2 pks. And I am plenty happy with my MUTHAF@%#in' Skurge, and my Bewitched (oh Samantha, how I crushed on ye), sexy wide set eyed Enchantress! Sounds like most of you haven't had great luck with what you have found out there. I have seen some real derpy sweethearts, but the majority have been consistent. I would say I have looked at between 6-8 of them. Maybe 10. Lost count. But generally she is the same, which looks unique to all other female figures and I think looks good. Guessing y'all have been seeing the derps, which were really bad. But she is far superior to the old Secret Wars 2 pack version in every way, so I am so so glad I never pulled the overpriced trigger for that horseface.

Now if you wanna talk about the derp factor on the other Thor 2 pack... I don't have all day. I have yet to see ONE single Hulk who does not look like Sloth from Goonies or a child painted him. Or both. Yep, that bad. Ugghh...

Well i see what ya sayin but sadly i cant agree. I dont buy the line as the price hikes lack of accessories and de-articulation turned me off of the scale. Theres no way i can, to myself, justify the prices. Now at the clearanced prices its an easier pill to swallow for whats being offered.

I do try to pick up loose ones from past waves, but unless they drop price and restore the artic amd such i will, apeak with my wallet and not buy at full retail. Thats just me though.

My review of the Skurge and Enchantress 2 pack -

(Had to save this for a separate post. That last 1 was growing too lengthy!)

Enchantress looks amazing! Spectacular metallic paint apps on the arms, legs, crown and belt! Her face looks amazing, better than the prototype I would say (assuming you find one that isn't inbred). Hark, a face that actually resembles an attractive woman for once?!? What is this sorcery?!? She has good articulation, with the usual shoulder, double knees, ankle, and elbow. Simple swivel neck, which is ample with that wonderful hair job. She could have maybe used some wrist articulation, some magick accessories, maybe some better quality control on face paint. The lack of torso joint actually helps the sculpt and the look, I think. A vast improvement over the original release, and may I say, 1 of the top female figures in any of the Marvel 1:18 lines?

Skurge is just as he should be. We dreamt, salivated, bemoaned and cursed our creators, waited patiently, and we finally got this mofo and he pays off!! He looks like he is ripped straight outta the comics! Big and bulky, but not too big. His paint job is on par, looks great. Details on head, and armor (in metallic paint), are mostly flawless. He has articulation everywhere it counts (thigh, calf, double knee, rocker ankles, hinge and swivel neck, elbow, upper arm, shoulder) even at the waist. Which is kind of a waste ( ;} ), as his soft goods armor and skirt hinder that joint. But great for the customizers! The star of the show are his glorious hinge swivel wrists!!! If only these came standard from now on, in all the sizes necessary for each buck! They allow for the best double fisted battle ax wielding! Go to it ;P

Overall, I can say they are both excellent figures in the vain of our old, worshipped, well articulated favorites! What a relief! GET OUT THERE & SCOOP THEM!! You will be happy! You NEED these in your collection if you still give a flying fcuk about the line(s)!!! Need help? Holla!

Crisperion Fett 08-13-2017 06:06 PM

Amazing MCU shots, @universe! Makes me wanna get in on that action!

Likewise & for the same reasons. I'm a 3.75 lifer!

It's like voting. While they are making them, I will buy them. At least my purchase will count for something, hopefully right to Hasbro's beancounters.

Maybe you should only buy the ones with the full articulation at retail price? That might be better than not buying at all unless clearanced, since it shows that you're still interested, but not in the newest articulation schemes.

RANDOM PICK 10 PAIR OF THE Marvel Legends Series PURPLE HAND For 3.75" Figure | eBay

Someone say Amora needs swivel wrists? Spell casting hands? Need extras to upgrade other figures with bendable wrists?

Really digging the SpiderMan Homecoming Shocker (well of course that's not quite the right description of the figure to the movie)

I would but 13 plus bucks is nuts. 8 bucks AT MOST is what the price should be. Its just hasbro greed and its bs.

Just picked up the collectors vault, pretty neat set! The sculpt on the Collectors head is is really nice. A little unsatisfied that Hasbro can articulate Yoda and a Ewok but with Marvel its just impossible. Lock Jaw, Cosmos and Howard the Duck could have all used moving parts and peg holes would be nice too.
Overall extremely happy to own Lockjaw and Cosmos. Now on to Radioactive Man, Tigershark and Quicksilver. I have to say Ebay prices seem to be somewhat in our favor as collectors these days. I got the Collectors vault misb for 50 shipped.
