Nice. Happy collectors, new members, positivity. A very wlelcome change. Yay for collecting.

Lovely work as always mordi

Universe, those are the pictures I was after when I first asked, thank you. Which ultron is that?

Recently spent a small fortune on a lot of army builders. Now just need to finish off about 10 more customs, get my cosmic display sorted, Iron man armoury set up, then FINALLY will be time to show off the man cave that's taken me nearly a year to do. (Work and life are demanding, surprised I have managed to get it all done in my minimal spare time).

On a similar note, what image site is everyone is usbing, now that photobucket has decided to stop working/loose business?

@Oscar...what army builders you got going? And I use imgur it is a little tricky at first, but easy once you know the controls.

Jackieboy 08-15-2017 01:33 PM

A nice looking Magneto! Yeah!

Too bad we had to sacrifice artic to get one.

Jackieboy 08-15-2017 02:03 PM

wish they would stop using that buck on their spideys.

ukmu 08-15-2017 02:21 PM

Great snaps bro! Guess I will add that Magneto to the list. I was put off by his head, but THAT looks good and I just happen to have a spare unmasked Magneto head.

Sold me on the Ultron as well. Maybe use one in my army (it is only 5 right now but may soon grow) as a Prime wearing a red cape? I just don't know if a good one will fit in with my silver and red ones?? I am definitely NOT one to mix and match in my armies, but might do. What do you guys think, does a gold one (or more) work with others?

MeLikeJinx 08-15-2017 02:42 PM

I am still kicking myself for not getting that purple unmasked oldschool Magneto/Cap 2 pack when it was on clearance for six bucks at my TRU. Still... all I see is Adam Warlock when I look at that headsculpt though. LOL. Hopefully I can get the new AoA Magento and try and go for a Fassbender look.

I lurk LOL
Bummmmmmed that we didn't get any Marvel MU-scale love at SDCC.
Thrilled that we got ROM. I hope HTS fulfills my order.
Awesome to see collectors still making customs! Everyone is so damn talented nowadays.

Jay West 08-15-2017 05:49 PM

Well if it ain't the last wave. Can't wait to grab it.

teddyboy09 08-15-2017 06:03 PM

The new wave is starting to come out here in the Philippines too; some hobby shops are getting them in. Not in the regular toy stores yet. Good thing I had enough to get a set of 4 (the new ones - Jewel, HydraCap, Magneto, 2099) and a friend was able to hook me up. I'm guessing the wave'll hit stores in the next week or so, but when they do I'm sure at least one figure will be tough to find.

I wish Mags had a torso joint. Seeing that plain red torso kind of irks me, lol. But I just love that we have an AoA Magneto in this scale. I'll probably look for a way to transfer the head, cape, lower arms and lower legs to a beefier/better body.

Hmm. Thanks for refreshing my memory on those. Those are definitely new sculpted parts. Maybe the heads are custom but the some of them look suspiciously mass-production painted, like Strucker's scarf-thing and his HYDRA logo looks stamped on. And that whip looks out of a mold.

I can't believe they've spent money to create tooling for the heads and the accessories, including the stuff to apply paint and never to use that money invested to put these in a wave somewhere. Interesting.

Thanks for digging those up MUFan as those are the pics i recalled when i was asking about the Vonner Era.

Strucker, like Skurge, would have been a nice addition especially during the Avengers Age of Ultron debut for a comic tie-in. While he's a relatively easy custom to make, i feel it's a waste of prototype painted mold, not to mention look great with the comic Hydra soldiers. Still crossing my fingers...

Are the purple buble things on his arms removable or molded on?

Nice pics. I like me a bit of that Cap

ukmu 08-16-2017 12:14 AM

Those are the mock ups I referred to. The whole tooling process of dies and moulds never began to my knowledge. If they bought them I would think we would have seen something, who knows though they are a gigantic corporation. I tried to post those images but imgur apparently holds back older pics you have after posting a lot and reach a certain bandwidth limit. I have read that but not sure why I can't post older stuff.

Speaking of which, I don't understand why that stupid photobucket thing had to happen. It has totally ruined years of archives.

Anyway, back to those guys. How amazing would those be? They should do three packs instead of two packs. I am sure the third figure would always be something you don't want but if it opens new possibilities then I am all in.

Wonder when we will hear something about the Skittle Pool party pack. I was thinking about that last night as I lie awake. It totally popped in my head for some reason. Although I was against it at first because it felt sloppy and almost disrespectful, after some thought last night.... it isn't too bad. It was just it was the only thing and they didn't treat like it was even a thing, never mentioned it or showed pictures of it. Could look alright next to ChampionPool and Funko Pop Taco Truck maybe?

So far, that is the only we know of in the works. There is still the HasCon at the end of summer in three weeks. Not very hopeful as I have a feeling they are mostly things to touch and hold there and won't be too many things that are delicate mock ups. So I think we will see anything from there.

Then there is NYCC but historically that isn't a big thing for reveals. Also a Canadian thing and something left in Europe, again I am not holding my breath. They could reveal via their fan pages like they did with Morbius, Rogue and Quasar awhile back?

Who knows, just getting anxious/worried now that everything they have shown is out. Save for the Pool Party, which is just an existing figure anyway. With nothing in the works being teased has me a little nervous to be honest. I am sure the good folks at HASBRO won't let us down. Not Lord Stall and his competent brain trust he has with him.

Oh, how about that articulated horse!!!! From Boss Fight, looks the business, huh? Too bad they didn't show a figure for size and scale. I am sure it is spot on though coming from them.

teddyboy09 08-16-2017 12:49 AM

After saying "this is all we have for the year" at Toy Fair and "we're taking some time off" at SDCC (just paraphrasing, I forgot the exact words) this year, I'm guessing they're really sticking to it and we won't get anything new. Probably another under-the-radar "oh yeah btw colored Deadpools" half-hearted reveal, but I'm prepared for no new stuff.

They're probably going to be all "LOOKIE HERE ONE MORE 6" WAVE, SURPRIIISE GUYYYS" but someone asks about 3.75" and they're all bummed and mumbly and say they're looking for ways to improve them. "oh uh we're taking a year off to see what we can do next for the line, we always look for ways to improve our three and three-quarter inch line so we are going to cut it to two points of articulation and wonder why people don't like it anymore...maybe because it's TIME FOR ANOTHER SIX INCH WAVE WOOOO but yeah that's about it for Universe uhh I mean Infinite Series uhh I mean the 3.75" Legends Series"

on the flip side this wave may be as diffcult to get as the red she hulk wave!surprised that its only been trickled out to the gen public!

i believe the Deadpool set is the final reveal of the remainder of the 2017. i hope i'm wrong.

As for 2018 product, i'm hoping for more surprise cinematic/comic tie-in two-packs for Black Panther, Avengers 3, and Antman & the Wasp.

They should put holes in the back for adding wings (feathery or bat-like).
