Fox are making a Doctor Doom movie, I wonder if this increases or decreases the chances of a new ML figure.

Watch it be about metal gimp Doom from F4ntastic on his little green puddle planet, because he was such an engaging character.

Rolls eyes...

I hate to say it, but when Roger Corman has one over all of the major studios, something is very sad in the world and things are not being done right.

Kinda shocked to see Wolverine. They've been keeping the character selection of the 12in. line so close to film releases. Glad to see him, though. No doubt, he'll sell out quick.

This Vintage Cardback line is kinda cool. I believe it was stated that there would be six figures in the wave. After the revealed Cap, Spidey, Punisher, I wounder who will be the other three??

I bet the Marvel reps just made a begrudging Hasbro throw their newly tooled first-to-be-revealed-at-SDCC-2017 DR. DOOM figure in a furnace somewhere in the musty bowels of SDCC, where it can never to be seen by mortal eyes...:p

Deadpool, Symbiote Spiderman, Hulk, and Thor haven't/aren't coming out in time for film releases so I don't think they're really timing them. At least, not anymore.

For the vintage card backs, I would guess that they're going to limit themselves to existing figures to repaint so maybe Iron Man (Epic Heroes), Venom, and Daredevil.

Trivial Psychic 07-21-2017 12:51 PM

And now there is a GameStop exclusive Venompool on the way. More scalper bait...thank goodness I'm not heavily invested into that character. It looks pretty lazily put together as well...kitbash of all kitbashes...

Hulk and Thor are kinda coming out in time for Thor Ragnarok.

Also, I was thinking that, like with the 40th Anniversary Black Series figures, there'd be a lot of reissues/repaints, but also a couple new figures that'd also get released in a normal wave a little later. I'm kinda hoping they do a new Classic Armor Iron Man in that way, but I know yet more Iron Man will annoy many.

TheBlueMarvel 07-21-2017 01:17 PM

...Old Man Logan was sort of timed with the movie as well.

sh002 07-21-2017 01:37 PM

Looks like that 12" Wolverine will be the first figure I buy in that series. I would have got the 12" Deadpool a while back but the head looked too big. Now Hasbro needs to make a 6" ML version of tiger stripe Wolverine and I'll be happy.

Boy Blunder 07-21-2017 01:39 PM

So, stopped by our local TRU at opening today, and talked to a few people there. Bad news is, from the sound of things, A-Force is online-only, and won't be hitting stores; additionally, they don't know when/if there will be more online stock.

Good news is, thanks to the local toy store and a slight additional cost, we're no longer stressing about getting it.

The first wave of the original line was the three they've revealed plus hulk, daredevil, silver surfer, dr. Doom and doc Ock. I'm betting we'll see hulk and DD. But unless they have one of the other 3 already planned for the standard line I think the 6th vintage card back figure will be Thor or iron man from the 2nd wave

sh002 07-21-2017 03:20 PM

I'd buy ML X-Men figures on the old Toy Biz X-Men card backs. Include the trading card too.

Glad you got yours but wow. That's going to suck if that's the case and it doesn't show up in stores. Awful distribution plan. this was never advertised as any kind of exclusive (other than being TRU, I mean con or online exclusive).

Unrelated to that post but in regards to other posts, total pass on the Vintage series. I feel like I kind of already bought those 20 years ago.

Haha nice, at least you're done and can kick back and relax.

i DID buy those some 20 PLUS years ago...

still have em buried deep someplace

TheBlueMarvel 07-21-2017 04:49 PM

Songbird is the only one I want. Ghost Rider's bike is disappointing; some strange combo of his first bike and Vengeance's bike...the translucent wheels are neat.

Augustus_Cole 07-21-2017 04:52 PM

only one i'm NOT feeling like i'd want is that Ghost Rider..

NICE grab BB

BAD MOON 07-21-2017 04:57 PM

Hasbro trolls hard. That Ghost Rider bike is hilarious.

Archangel 07-21-2017 05:06 PM

well...I didn't have think I would be getting into the 12" Legends until I saw that Wolverine. I must have. I need a side hustle to support my habit.

VashTS 07-21-2017 05:07 PM

The Bike is nice. I wonder if Hasbro will include a Blaze head?

I doubt it due to the flames neck but still hoping.

That's the ultimate Jim Lee Wolverine....I almost cried. Now where is my Cyclops with Blast effect, do not care if it is 12" or not, I want.
