But at only $35, I might just stop questioning it so much and just pick it up. |
Just get it... it is nice. The BMF is perfect in everyway sure... no doubting that. Bad this my is you practically need another room just to house it. Lights and a four person (well, 3 human/1 Wookie) cockpit is ideal, the thing is it is just TOO big. The Force Awakens version is fine, in my opinion. Great display or play size.
Just me though...to each their own. Edit: never mind all the haters, the NERF cannon is awesome!!! Shoots the whole way across the room and knocks down figures with authority. It is a fun feature. I know everyone bags on it, but we enjoy it. Makes play a lot of fun!!! Takes out 10 Stormies from 15 feet away...how cool is that?!? |

My 11 year old son set up this shot and asked me to post it on ToyArk. Turned out pretty nice if I say so myself. Resistance shot to follow soon.... after he cleans up his bloody mess. ;) |
He gets a long distance bro fist.

That Dalek probably didn't recognize him with the red arm.

Really, Hasbro? In an age where people prefer their Star Wars figures to be a bit more articulated, THIS is what you dish out for the 40th anniversary? A ton of non-poseable figures!? Edit: I stand corrected. There appear to be some simple joints here. But why can't they just rerelease some older figures based on a New Hope? |
oh good Hasbro doesn't want any me to buy anything Star Wars
|
i guess i get where Hasbro is going with this- 40th ann. and they've already made all these characters a billion times over- so they are aiming for adults that don't "play" action-figures and might see these as something fun to put on their desk that look like their old toys but make sounds and stuff... certainly not aimed at action figure collectors that already have a box load of luke and vaders, et al. I can't see picking any up myself, but just from a "get something representing the 40th ann on the shelf...." yeah, i get it. Just move along to the $50 light/sound 6in dio structures...

I'm an adult and I still "play" though. I'm a big 'pew pew pew' type guy. These are more accurately sculpted than just about any I've seen. Posed in a great action shot that couldn't easily replicate even with super articulation. The modern toy industry was built on the back of Star Wars 3.75" as well.

It looks like the Star Wars Black line are also getting a 40th anni reissue, although the video UKMU linked to in the Marvel thread didn't mention either Darth or Stormtroopers (both of which they've made). I imagine all the first 12 will be issued.
Frankly, I'd like for them to reissue the original vintage 12 figures on some kind of display stand. Or maybe the updated 4 inch versions. Hmm. SDCC should be interesting... |
Any word when the ANH Vader is coming out? I mean the 6inch one.

So those 40th anniversary figures are kind of cool. I'm half tempted to cancel my Han and Chewy Figuarts preorders and just go with those versions.

Sooooo real talk.
My Star Wars collection(all 3.75 inch stuff)is one of 3 collections that I have on one certain shelf(this is liable to change, but for now, it's convenient), and Star Wars is the only one without a background "Centerpiece," if you will. Doctor Who has the Tardis', and DC has the wall that came with the DCM Nightwing and Killer Croc 2-pack. Star Wars just has a black wall, which makes it pop a lot less than it should. I've been thinking about space walls, which, for those who don't know, is the background to THIS wonderful photo I found on their site: http://galactictradingpost.com/image...allery/1/6.png Problem is, I only want two of the lighted sections, and I feel that a full set would be kind of a waste of money, so should I attempt a cheap cardboard version, or actually invest? |
