Huh. I never read into most Snoke theories because I personally didn't care who he was before the current events but thinking about it for a moment Mace Windu is certainly an interesting proposition that makes more sense than other theories I'm aware of. I always took Abrams' or Serkis' (forget if it was one or both) word for it that Snoke really is a newcomer. My lack of attachment or real interest in Snoke meant I had minimal hurt feelings about his time in TLJ but I am a fan of Andy Serkis getting to ham it up so it was still fun for me.

Yeah I never read into it much either but I do remember after seeing it discussing with my co-worker how they don’t even remotely touch on how snoke came to power. Serkis was great, but it just seemed odd that TFA and TLJ didn’t even remotely cover how he came to power. I mean the entire prequel trilogy seemed to be dedicated to showing how Vader and Palpatine came to rule the galaxy. I can’t say it’s all that big a deal to me as I’ve only watched the prequels once in theaters and same with TFA and TLJ, and serkis or Abrams’ word is probably correct, but I love that mace theory.

I was gonna call that quite the stretch, but if Hayden Christensen's voice can suddenly turn into that of James Earl Jones, then hey.
That is pretty far-fetched, though? Would make no sense and really cheapen Mace Windu's role, so I'm glad they went in their own direction.
What is with all the fan theories that were being floated around before The Last Jedi, though? They were everywhere and many of them were just awful, my least favorite was "Rey = Vader reincarnated. Yikes. I dig that most of the primary faces of this new generation are beholden to no one else. They're their own people, forging their own path. Snoke was a doormat for Kylo Ren to wipe his boots before kicking in the door of something greater, I was good with how things turned out.

I ain't gonna watch the video so if someone could explain the mental somersaults the video makers made to explain how Windu grew an extra 2 feet, got his hand back and turned into an albino, that'd be greatttt...

Pilots in mechs were being done about a decade before Voltron's original run as Go Lion, starting with Mazinger. And then later, either Spider-Man or Battle Fever J were the first to do it in live-action.

You can't expect anything less from arguably the largest franchise of all time; especially when the company in question taunts you with so many unanswered questions. Then the company in question subsequently trashes their own characters and doesn't answer any of those questions - but I digress....

The Mace theory is/was pretty silly though.

IMO, the only characters to be handled badly in TLJ were Hux and maybe Finn.

To be fair, the only question that they toyed with the audience over was the one concerning Rey's identity. Fans were the ones that concocted all of these nutty theories about who Snoke is/was.

I didn't need to connect him to Mace Windu or Darth Plagueis or someone else we already know to appreciate the overall narrative, but that's me. :D

He did yoga, got his hand back the same way Luke did, and turned albino from the electricity blast from Palpatine (like what happened when it was reversed on Palpatine).

Actually I think speculation and/or a good fan theory makes me appreciate the overall narrative even more in some cases, kinda like the top in inception. I really loved the Boba Fett character form ESB, but when they revealed a lot of his origin in the prequel (forget which one) it was kind of a letdown. I know when I see a good movie I like I discuss it a lot with friends/coworkers/family... also that’s what I love about the MCU, it refers to stuff that happened in older movies that were released years before, but to each their own!

Finally got a Thanos ! sad part about it is i couldn't find one from anywhere in south florida ( at least the stores i'd be willing to go). my buddy all the way in ohio sent him to me.
