Articulated Madness!!!

Greetings guys from the Creator.
Just came from the Lab frankensteining a few super fun, super small, and super difficult mini customs. Guys these are all works in progress and feel free to judge my work please. 1st up is Rocket Raccoon- Articulated feet, legs, arms, and hands. Next up is Throg made from some hard plastic game piece, an articulated neck, legs from Sonic the Hedgehog, feet from a Schieltz frog and the head came from the Same Schieltz frog heavily modded with a Marvel universe Thor helmet. And last but not least, the Hitmonkey. Thank Vortious Customs for the head, tie and articulated feet. The legs are whittled down from a wasp figure, and I think I'll cut the shins a lil shorter. Arms from a GI Joe Baroness, hands- B.Widow. Hard work and I love it! And again COMMENT!! OH YEAH thanks Pilk for the Hulk Critique means a lot. Back to the Lab. Sincerely the Creator. Keep Creating guys. |

Ah. That does look kind of like a Terminator. I dig it.
|
I did not know that! I thought it was a Terminator, good to know. I was going for this look:
https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.R...QEsEs&pid=15.1 Also, I will soon be adding the final, finishing touches to the Latvarian line-up. Then it will be complete!!! (Lightning flashes and I do my evil laugh as camera zooms into close up of my face) https://i.ytimg.com/vi/tiqKuEPj13U/hqdefault.jpg Except I am getting the one with red eyes, that is why I painted the eyes red, which screams Terminator. Of all the research I looked at I'd say it was pretty even for eye colour.... it gave me MUCH grief deciding. I found about 40% were yellow, 40% were red and 20% were a creepy neonish green. Since I were getting the red eyes Legends Doombot, and that sorted it for me. |

I did sculpt one a while back to make it look like the ones from SDCC diorama and planned on casting them but just never got around to it. depending on how easy they are to obtain Ill go this route as I only need 4 |

Thor from Is very nice I have a WIP somewhere in one of the to do boxes using the baby cyclops figure that came with the Rogue 3 pack. Hit monky is really nicly done. \im not familair with the character to much but from quick google you have him spot on. |

The above was just a test to try and get imgur working, now that photobucket has turned evil! Job done. (Also, thought it was a cool picture)
People people people, loving all the work, talk and banter. More new members. Collection pictures. Tweaks, customs. This will surely be a testing time for us all (well, most of us). It's a chance to appreciate and modify our figures and collections in different and wonderful ways. It could be easy to get all negative and turn on each other. But let's try and keep it positive, keep it 3.75" appreciation! (Clue is in the thread title there ;)) |

.....hippie ;) Also, I bet I did exactly what most everyone else did. Looked at Jackie's two pack pic then immediately looked to the right to see the derp level of Amora's eyes.....am I right? Did you do it? Nice long holiday weekend so I am going to post up a set of pics each day. It is 11 am and I have already gotten the A.I.M. out and on new floor stands. Finding all the playset bits now for a massive shot and show off the new laboratory playset!!! Yeah!!! I only waited about three years for it, and just got it earlier this summer. Of course it's great seeing everyone one here not complaining about HASBRO. I think we all have said what we feel. No use crying over something we no control over. The state of it is what it is. I said a hundred times, this is when you upgrade, get stands, do/buy a custom, army build, fill holes, get that old Toy Biz or Legends figure that scales perfectly that you always wanted.... Maybe buy 3.75" stuff from the indy scene as it has NEVER been hotter. In a way, I am thankful. I am thankful that they didn't throw some garbage our way that we would regret for years to come. I am also grateful that the line isn't super awesome and we have 17 waves this year like 6" collectors do. Too much of a good thing isn't a good thing at all. Sounds odd, but I prefer none to 200 amazing ones or none to 20 crap ones. So post a single pic if you can find the time this holiday weekend! Let's make the appreciation flow. An old pic, a new pic, a custom, a pic of Iceman because you like that particular figure, pics of collections, armies, outside pics in the grass, your favourite team, group shot of only red figures, a group shot of only transparent figures with natural lighting behind them. Just anything please. Let's see if we can advance 5 or 6 pages this weekend with loads of love and pics! Whatever little bit you can muster it will help.... dig deep my friends! And may we all give Oscar a virtual hug! ;) |

While i enjoy custom creating characters and am all for the various 3.75-inch kickstarters, fans (children and adults) in general should not have to resort to becoming sculptors, painters, and figure mechanics to collect characters when there are huge properties that have already established a line. Zombies, fantasy, and military figures are an amazing variety to have and option to further customize. They certainly are a saving grace to our scale. But it is a sad state of affairs when the big wigs decide to life-support our collection during an era when the superhero/comic theme has never been more popular among the masses. |

My contribution to our growing album lately...Mockingbird.
Most of my customs are a hybrid of Joes and Marvel as i dig 'Marvelous Joes' which bring a more tactical spin on superheroes/superheroines. http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...6&d=1505239373 |
