wow I didn't realize the Narnia castle was so big

ukmu 08-28-2017 11:15 PM

Great stuff!!!!

A huge thank you to everyone as well.

Let's plan another weekend with a theme?!?

Give us some time to think about it. It was a lot of fun, I would had never thought to do an execution scene with out the witty back and forth we had. Good stuff.

That Narnia castle is a beast. I recently scored one. It was too big for the photos this weekend, but will use it some time.

ukmu 08-28-2017 11:50 PM

Almost ONE HUNDRED FIFTY pics this weekend. About 135 and a few videos. More than half original ones to boot!!!!

Bravo my toy friends, bravo. Moved about 6 pages as well! Very proud of you lot. I could not have dreamt such a result, I am honoured and humbled. There had to be close to 3 dozen NEW custom pics. At least 40 group shots of armies. Even had battle scenes, a story mode, a sneak preview of the O's new room, some golden oldies, diorama shots, and beautiful shelf pictures. Just had a quick look back before my day starts and am in awe.... That's over now, back to no pics and bitching.

Can you believe that shit tard Stall. What a tool. Why did they put new Falcon on the cardback knowing they were only at prototype stage?!? A few more days until HASBRO's own DisappointmentCon next weekend in Rhode Island. Wonder if they will even bother with us? Dick clowns the lot of them!!!!

Ahh.... Not sure if that felt good getting back to normal or if it felt bad. I did feel my mood shift while typing. Started off a joke, but I felt myself getting serious by the end of it. Anyway, I am off to plan some HYDRA pics, forget about HASBRO and keep smiling all day.

It's a great playset - one of the best. It's possible to enlarge it by buying two additional pieces that are supposed to attach to it that came as separate mini-scenes:

Going to get milk last night, which there is little of because of Harvey, and of course I need to look at the action figures.

Saw AZ again. Thought about kit-bashing
http://www.hasbro.com/common/product...09B9C3DA40.jpg + https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kz65z5vyD...igure%2B25.jpg

but decided I just don't like anything about this AZ sculpt except the lenticular image.

It could work and his BAF is hard to find at a good price

Thank you sir!

En Sabah Nut 08-29-2017 11:28 AM

thanks Dubious one for the heads-up!

so when i googled on Funko Legacy i saw Evolve Goliath which reminded me of something pretty close, take a look...

Frost Beast appeared first in 2011's Thor movie, followed by 2014's Thor: The Dark World. Goliath appeared only when Evolve was released in 2015.

MeLikeJinx 08-29-2017 03:37 PM

I remember when all those Narnia toys ended up at ROSS for dirt cheap... I didn't have the foresight to buy them up for future use. LOL. Too bad the 3.75" Hobbit toys didn't have big playsets too... because the figures were really great... especially Gandalf.

I still want one of the werewolfs from that line... hasbro needs to make a monster set like werewolf by night, manwolf, man ting, redo morbious, Dracula, nkantu, and some zombies of course (including Simon Garth) and carrion.

Jay West 08-29-2017 06:17 PM

Important Hydra question (UKMU - I'm looking at you). Captain Hydra ripped from them time stream to join my Hydra armor. Use the new figure as is for Hydra Cap or try to kitbash the more recent look which is a green and gold Hydra armor with elements of Captain America mixed in?

Seems like FreshMonkeyFiction's upcoming 2018 "Monster Force" kickstarter might be right up your alley.

I'm pretty sure it's like 7 or 8 inches tall. I looked a few over back when they were new but didn't care enough to buy one even when they got crazy cheap. I don't know how much they go for now.

Il Cattivo 08-29-2017 10:32 PM

kinda small. was hoping at least 10" tall.

I would say a bit of both.....

Here's what I would do for that nice golden HYDRA look. Take the new Cap figure, yeah. Also take the new gold Ultron figure, yeah. Put them both in a blender and forget that either ever happened!!!!! ;)

I would keep him as is. His short run as Captain HYDRA was mostly the 'iconic' look they gave us. Although the goldie look is admittedly much cooler. I personally don't think he is worth the bother, but if you fancy the character then go for it!

https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.1...QEsCo&pid=15.1

I prefer the more fictional fan art version with actual HYDRA imagery. If I were just to wing it and create my own, I would go with the classic green and yellow look personally. I have him and Jessica on a back order if and when a local e-tailer restock. I will keep him as is and sort of in the background. Another member is another member was my reasoning.

@PremX... that Zola is a good stand in. Could be cut apart and "fixed" but I think he looks cool enough. Just stick in the back if you've a display. Again, I think he is hardly worth the bother. I went the kitbashed route myself. Very expensive route though. Basically, the BAF cost plus another 20% for 3.75" scale parts and paint to go with it. You could just use the chest and head and a Thanos, but I went all out. Still need a bloody left BAF hand and he is done. Surprisingly, the hands and boots are an exact match up to a Thanos figure. He is a very short Marvel Legends figure so that works in our favour for parts, as a straight up stand in he is too big for me personally. However, he can work just fine as a BAF in a 3.75" collection and looks good either way. That said, the Spider-Man AZ is simple and complete and available....so, save yourself some hassle and pick him up. You can always upgrade later, or not bother as that base is covered. If I could have one, I would just grab the cheap Spider-Man one. The BAF is better, the kitbash is best; but it isn't worth the trouble in the end unless you have to have as you want him.
