*tsk tsk tsk*

Dear Tomax,

For someone who acted like the post police in threads isn't it odd that you don't adhere to the same guidelines??
This thread is called "look at what i JUST GOT"
NOT...look at the picture I just found on the internet of something I just ordered.

But i'm just bustin your balls...it's what i do from tahme to tahme..;)

Tomax 04-14-2018 05:42 AM

LOL i just need red lion to complete Voltron (holy grail for me) :)

I think they've done a really great job with all of the lions, but their Paladins/pilots make baby jebus cry. They're a goddamn atrocity. And that's the only mecha show, the new Netflix version especially, that has made me want toys of the pilots over the machinery.

Personal preference though, I really love their classic and modern lion toys.

just came back from target and i never find anything there. so my expectation was very low. but guess what. for the first time, i found 5 things that interest me! only bought 2 thou...........................................i bought Jawa (4 1/4" blk series) and BlackOut (8 1/2" leader class)

the only thing i dont like about blackOut is his color scheme, might do a repaint.
First time i saw Black Out in Transformers part 1, i was in awe and happy to see trnsformers on the big screen for the first time. the part when he attacked the military base was awesome, it made my hair stand up on my body...

I like that Blackout. I've been looking for a decent bot to go on the Judge Dredd shelf that has a cool 2000AD vibe without really looking too much like anything else and Blackout (being in the movie style) really fits that look.

jwyss234 04-14-2018 05:45 PM

My Black Series Grand Moff Tarkin came in the mail from Amazon today.

What's wrong with the color? MH-53 Pave Low helicopter do come in flat grey paint.

The Studio Series Leader Grimlock I got looks excellent, there's a nice wash of silver/green paint all over, except on certain parts like the rubber/plastic and the hands and feet. I had to add some metallic dry-wash onto the parts with the missing paint in order to make the whole figure consistent.

The first time the Transformers were on the big screen was 1986 :p
By the way the Jawa's eyes glow in the dark, unless they seriously changed that from the 40th anniversary version. I found out by accident and I'm a little surprised so few people seem aware of it. They're not super strong but they totally glow in the dark.

I discovered it by happy accident. I have to keep a black-light handy because where I live scorpions easily and often enter the home whenever the weather shifts and I need to spot them but then I also get a kick seeing what toys react under black light's effects. Black light super-charges GITD material and so it was cool to see that the Jawa's eyes kept glowing even when I'd moved on. Like I said though they are a bit faint due to their size as they are just two little dots.

Thank you! Now I don't feel so bad about living in a place that just got 3 inches of ice, followed by 6 inches of snow yesterday.

i have both voltrons already! i was just referring to the paladins themselves! idk if we'll ever see the others go to retail anytime soon, since it seems that the stores are clearancing them out already tho heh

sorry for the confusion :p

I saw Ready Player One yesterday and then went to do a little toy hunting and finally found the Deadpool wave at a local Target! then went to a Gamestop and found a golden Artemis pop vinyl and then bought the steelbook edition of the last jedi from best buy!

It's crazy to think how much easier marketing is now. I was a toddler when that movie was made, and the only reason we found out about it is through a bumper sticker for it that Hasbro sent to my parents in the mail. Don't get me wrong, the information age is spectacular and I'm not really nostalgic about being in the dark. But it was kind of neat to stroll into a toy aisle and see dozens of tempting things you never knew existed.
