I find a character I want to make and then I go out and gather whatever parts and pieces I need to make the design. I also have no problem cutting up figures and creating from scratch, but I know not everyone can or wants to do that.

I've always been an artistic person, so for me the challenge of making something unique is where my personal satisfaction comes in with this hobby. That and I'm a big Marvel fan and would have killed to have a line of these figures as a kid. I butchered a lot of Joes back in the day trying to make them into Marvel superheroes.

Ok, really going this time. :D

My sculpting skills aren't what they used to be.

EXAMPLE #1, my 1st series HULK, with added waist articulation, ankle swivel, and leg extensions. NOT my complete idea, same with red hulk. Next up is my W.I.P. SPIRAL, major arm butcher, all arms work though! Tell me what you guys think, and articulation rules. Almost 500 figures fellas....KEEP CREATING FRIENDS!!!!!

I had to add to this. For my Dragonfly I drilled holes in the first set of wings just big enough for the pegs on the second set, making all wings poseable.

Once again no announcement for us on a movie line (Black Panther this time).

Would it really have been too much trouble for a deluxe BP and a Shuri/Killmonger two-pack?

ukmu 09-07-2017 11:15 PM

Hasbro stiffed us for 3.75" offerings and have now plunged balls deep into 6" kids lines. That certainly doesn't bode well. Whatever mate, they can keep their shitty BP toys. Pretty sure that all but seals up the fate of 3.75" for an Avengers line. I'm so used to the let down that I am not even slightly bothered about any of that news. Just another day with another Con with another omission.

Great write up Morty. I hate paint rub!!! I didn't even like custom figures for years because I thought they were just fragile statues that USED to move. Now, after some years of experimental research, reading and trial and error; I see the REAL fun of customs is looking new AND being posable over and over again. I read the fantastic tips on figure realm like a Bible many many times as well.

Cool wings LM. You consistently deliver some of the most original ideas in this thread. You are an inspiration sir. Keep it up.

Creator- killing it as usual. Also, airbrushing is the real way to go. I will have to get a set up going myself.

We have to be more vocal. Go to all the forums, go to all those youtube Hascon videos, go to all those FB Hascon posts. Voice your discontent, your anger. Politely but sternly. Ask why there are no 3.75. This is an event made by Hasbro. I bet they will be listening. Let our voices be heard.

6" keeps getting vehicles. It makes no fucking sense after all those years they never gave 4" shit. (Maybe a XMO harley?). Literally WTF?

With all the money I'm saving by not spending it on their product, I might be able to actually afford to attend one.

@En Sabah Nut, Nice VMax. That's the type of bike used in "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance". Just need to blacken it up!

Captain Nash 09-08-2017 02:37 PM

Has there been ANYTHING mentioned at Hascon on this line at all? Or is it basically shut down and shit upon?

I do love my 6 inch legends but it's so frustrating the absolute ridiculous unbalance in the two scales. They need two separate heads of production, Stahl can just do 6 inch figures and bring someone in for this line who has an actual love of the scale.

yes, the one & only VMax that's so very rare to come by for me. you'll also notice that the movie version is a souped-up production model.

now for something to kick-start the weekend... ;)

hasbroherofan 09-08-2017 03:03 PM

They confirmed Falcon was a holdover from before the wave was changed, but it sounds like he may get released in the future.

Ugh my HTS order for the 3.75 JJ got dropped (dang you HTS) and I had to call them to re order everything...Er back on topic, unless they made a JJ version of it in the 6 inch line...

The sales is bad because there's only a wave every quarter it seems like, unlike the 6 inch line where it gets new stuff practically every month now it seems like.

Haha tell me about it, most of my $ going to TF now instead of Marvel. Used to be split evenly...
