as some of you may have noticed (by now) some of my pics have better lightings (clearer). i will continue to upgrade my photography lightings while providing a realistically clean use of live materials for my presentation. *whispers* MU FTW... |
They cancelled the new Falcon figure. One hand, less 3.75. Other hand, eh?
|
Wow. That Ghost Rider pic is amazing.
Also my updated X-men MU shelf... https://i.imgur.com/g4s2sCYm.jpg Basically just added X-23 Wolvie. Oh and a Fassbender-ish Magneto placeholder stand-in which will hopefully be replaced with the upcoming AoA Magneto soon. Just don't ask me why young Magneto and old Xavier exist in the same timeline on the shelf. LOL. |
Yep no 3.75 news. Just the boring stuff from SDCC.
|
Creator, bravo bro. Killing it.
Nut, you have taken literally THE BEST 3.75" toy pics I have ever seen... Ever. I mean that. So.... Elephant in the room time. HasCon "Marvel panel" has happened. Once again, nothing. Not surprised, none of us are. The day goes PERFECTLY with Kostej's pic from earlier today, one page back. Disappointed? Words fail me. Actually, had to come back and edit. I have a few words now. Good bye Marvel. I still have a small list of stuff I need. I will still make and aquire custies from those that I am a fan of, I will still bug everyone here, I will still wave the flag. But I am done being emotionally attached to this line. I won't be let down again. |

Kim Arashikage (v1B) G.I. Joe Action Figure - YoJoe Archive I'm really surprised Hasbro even mentioned their licensed products. Black Panther movie stuff is a joke. I bet that will peg warm hard. |
Tbh, I'm kinda glad they're holding off on movie stuff for our scale at the moment. I keep on wanting to build up an MCU display, but I always prioritize comic figures for this line(which I still have a decent amount to catch up on). I just find them more interesting.
Anybody else have that problem? |

nice going & keep up the good work MLJinx, you have good composition & posing abilities. while it's nice to see a kit-bash of Erik, it's breath-taking to spot a variant Havok :)d Quote:

* for myself it's akin to consuming any food (especially for the very first time), i prefer the original taste while minimizing/omitting the use of condiments. it doesn't matter whether it's Italian or French pizza, coz being lost in translation it could well have originated from China. which brings us to the next point... * the greater a collectively accepted cultural icon, the more attractive power it holds. that being said, MCU is one such icon that basically did its work to generate buzz for Marvel noobs. yet this will never override comics originality since it also cause curious noobs to delve more into MCU's origination. thanks for making me wonder! Word up Nut....Word up.
I don't do MCU at all. I know others do it exclusively and most do a fair mix. I always choose classic comic version over modern as well. Try to STRICK one version of one character rule. I personally cringe seeing 26 Captain America figures and 17 Wolverines. I refuse a diff version of the same character....funny that, as an army builder that goes against my ethos. In fact, in the beginning I thought army building was dumb. After being 100 of literary 3 different figures over and over and over again, I no see it as dumb. I see it as absolutely retarded!!!!! If you ever thought about having a big army, don't. It is a sickness. Avoid at all costs my friends. That said....anyone have any HYDRA troops up for grabs? (He says while licking his dry lips and frantically scratching his face) #crack I think the BP toys will peg warm when they make it to the discount stores. I also think it will be the first Marvel Studios film to bomb. I love me some Marvel films, but it has to stop at some point. Wish it would go out on a bang after Avengers. A leave them wanting more scenario, but they will milk the teet until it is Saharan dry. Perhaps to the extent of tainting the good comic films that preceded it. I fear they will over saturate until none of means anything. With 22 films to watch leading up to Avengers 3, one could certainly argue we have reached that point already. At least the film's are good now, I think after BP and Mrs. Marvel hit the crapper the quality will decline sharply. It is all just an objective opinion that means nothing from some rambling lunatic on ToyArk.... but there it is. |
That is an incredible Dormammu pic.
Although the (Marvel) news from Hascon is crap, I reckon that new Apocalypse would work rather well with a 3.75" display. |

Awesome Galactus & Spiral, Creator!
Nut, the Midnight Sons diorama is the B-O-M-B! Seriously, who needs HasCon 3.75 diorama when we have your pics here to look forward to. They are the ones that the longer I stare, the more details I appreciate. Really well done! Quote:
And the Marvel Cinematic Universe took the Ultimates concept and ran with it for a modern origin to the Avengers (the whole point of the Ultimates comic universe). Thus inspiring the 3.75 MCU line to produce not only the movie versions but the Ultimates comic versions as well. As I've mentioned before I dig 'tactical' superheroes and the MCU delivered. The only drawback to the cinematic universe is trying not to see actors in costume, so I began melting some of the classic line head sculpts into some of the modern costumes or have created "Marvelous Joes" with joe/mu. Needless to say, I have both separate classic & movie/modern classic Marvels on display in our toy room. |

Quick apology;
There will be no skrull or AIM customs being worked on/completed/shown this weekend. They have been sacrificed for beer and batman (arkham knight). Have spent so much time on figures and the room that I need to take a bit of time to appreciate it/them. Keep the positive vibes flowing team! (I like how we have, almost, brushed past the unfortunate and expected non-news at has-con. All about the appreciation here remember :)) |
If anyone has a picture theme/suggestion for this weekend, let's hear it
