Mattel lost the DC license in 2018, the crowd funding Mattel Creations debuted in 2023.
Logic and reason and the last 5 years of action figures collectibles = more than likely Mattel wants to, and will, up their game with DC license.

The irony is NOW in 2024-2025 McF is showing some cool stuff, and I have to keep telling myself to NOT buy it because I want to see what Mattel does later.
(Jeez, McF since 2018? it took McF 6 years to finally make anything that I personally thought was worth my dollars?? I'm nobody, but still...)
McF got the license in 2020. Originally they had a 2 year contract, then it extended a year, then they re-upped for 2 more years.

you pick which one you want to contribute from the tiers and that's it.
as long as the goal of $250k is met that is how it works. you can pick more that one tier or can be the same tier.

I would like to see that Wonder Woman figure get sold in the mainline to round out the Rebirth Justice League. Not much of a Godzilla fan.

What i dont get is how this will work. If it takes 18 months to produce and they loose thr license in less than 12 months how are they going to be able to fulfill it? Is it because they sold before the license expired even though they didn't have yhr physical item to sell?

I just read the Jayna & Gleek is the platinum chase figure for the next Super Friends wave. Not sure if it's Gamestop exclusive or not. Seriously, what the heck is wrong with Todd?! Batzarro should be the chase, not the other half of a much sought after team!

It usually takes 18 months from concept to delivery. In this case, it appears all of the tooling, paint masters, prototypes, etc are completed and as soon as the funding period ends, they will know the number to have the factory produce. One month for production, 2 months on the water. Shouldn't be a problem for these to be out in a few months.

Jayna was never even available, although a couple of people on FB claimed it popped up two minutes before noon, and they got their orders in before her page crapped out, but otherwise, few, if any, had a chance.

Todd has really sucked the fun out of collecting his line. I haven't bought any of his stuff since june. Everything sells out females are a bitch to get. After Zatanna I'm 100. Done with todd

You know, he must be doing something right, though, since so many of us want a lot of his stuff. The Batman Returns line sold out like bread in WW2. Wish he didn't do the exclusives the way he does, but I did end up with many DC merchandise that I proudly display.

I'd still like a WW84 Cheetah figure. Say what you will about the movie, I still liked the design of the character.
