Shameless plug, but I feel like these got lost in all off the SDCC talk and we need some fun in this thread. Too many serious discussions going on right now and not enough pictures. :-)

I've only had this service for a week, but I already hate imgur. It doesn't put any of my images in order, so I have to keep fishing through the folder looking for them and try to put them in order.

Some yelling, some with evil smiles, some just serious looking. That way you could buy 3 sets of this and have 6 different looking Hydra soldiers. Cheesing out by including a repainted TM/SHIELD head & unmasked/repainted Nuke & White Luke cage heads is not what I consider "going all out". When do you ever see unmasked Hydra grunts?

You're right, but you may have missed the sarcastic element of what we wrote. The joke between us was, "look at all these things some random-ass Hydra Agents got, while Mary Jane received a pocketbook." I was also poking a little fun at the fact that the big tough Hydra soldiers get all these accouterments for little boys to dress them up with, while the 'super-model' fig gets a purse, a tee, drab jeans, and some distinctly un-sexy flats. Additionally, the comments you picked were at the tail end of three different call-outs of reused heads. I also noticed that the brute is actually the Nuke mold in its entirety. I can't quite place that vest on the regular Hydra guy. With all that being the case, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to be buying two or three of these sets...obviously, to dress up my little 'war-men' like black-ops Barbies!! ;)

This is reminding me how much I dislike toy depictions of Doom's true face.

Yeah I know how you feel about the A-force set. Misses out on it myself. I'm hoping it'll pop back up on the site later.

It's been said before, but sarcasm really needs a font...

What are the odds of us getting Crystal? I really don't care which costume or hairstyle, but you think they'd be doing more with the Inhumans.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get more Inhumans after the show makes its debut, depending on its success. At least the upcoming releases of Bolt and Medusa (albeit still as an exclusive) may help pave the way.

Given how stop-and-start the Inhumans has been to get off the ground, though, I'm not surprised that figures haven't come out before this. If Hasbro had plans to release more Inhumans, they were probably held on the back burner until they knew what Marvel Studios' final plan would be.

Makes sense, but similar to my take on FF, I don't think seeing figs made is tied as directly as it has been in the past to the success of a screen-birth.

I think Hasbro is just getting more ambitious in general, as it pertains to what get's produced. The figs are selling well and retailers are more aware of our niche of collecting. I get retail employees/managers smiling and asking if I'm a collector when I ask questions about releases. Some even let me know that they are also collectors. With the rebirth of the FF, whether the Inhuman show is a success or failure, I highly suspect we'll get the entire royal family. The fact that they are providing a second shot at Medusa and Black Bolt bodes very well. Of course, strong ratings for the Inhumans show will make that eventuality all the more likely.

Harbinger 07-25-2017 12:23 PM

What i dont get is why make black bolt a general release but medusa a stupid exclusive. It makes no damn sense. Instead of bb in the bp wave they shoulda saved him for an inhumans wave and instead gave the chick with the rings from the movie a figure.

That's a good point. In my semi-drunken stupor, Saturday night, I must have glossed over that bit of info. Didn't they say that Medusa was going to get a bunch of accessories? Now this is just a hypothetical, given that we know two packs are back in force: What if Medussa is part of a two pack and gets accessory treatment on the level of these Hydra soldiers? That'd be pretty nifty...

Tomax 07-25-2017 12:54 PM

the hydra pack is an easy pass for me, dont know whats the hype about. those characters are just 'fillers'

Veronica Mars 07-25-2017 01:14 PM

People like army builders? They're exactly filler, especially for people who enjoy diorama building, because this line is skewed away from villains The Hydra 2pk, and future offerings like it give them a away to fill out those dioramas. It's not brain science

Since Weapon X and X-Force Deadpool are 12in (*sad face*) which 2 characters are likely to get slots 6 and 7? My preference in order would be Siryn, Mystique, Copycat or Negasonic Teenage Warhead, but seeing as they've confirmed Domino and X-23 I'm not holding my breath since aside from the Juggernaut wave they don't seem keen to do more that 2 female figures per wave.

Exactly. I have three Vehicons from the "Transformers Prime" line just because they're army-building mooks.

I'd like if we got some more Kree and Skrulls. Maybe some Chitauri (Hasbro never did any in the 6 inch scale did they?)

I'm pretty sure Dorkside has the wave already. They're just not allowed to ship it yet. I'm going to the movies on Friday so I'm going to see about picking mine up in person while I'm over in Murfreesboro.

Kirathis 07-25-2017 03:07 PM

Seems like it has been forever since I have been on here. Surprisingly to me, I actually want that Hydra set. Regardless of it being a bunch of reused parts, they work relatively well and they add some variation to the Hydra goons.

Hopefully I will not miss the chance (or did I already?) on the SDCC set.

Nah, well not as much as we all have if it weren't at SDCC. it goes on sale on the Hasbro website on 8/14.

Generic Error

That site link LOOK suspicious but it is not...
