Quick toy morality question... one walmart has a bunch of old MU team packs (Guardians, FF) discounted to 15$, another has the new packs for 28$ after taxes, they also have guardians and FF for 28, is it wrong to pick up the discounted ones, return them to the other store for full price and use the cash to get the new packs? Part of me thinks its wrong, part of me thinks its smart shopping, like a coupon. they are both walmarts so its not lying, and theres nothing illeagle. but somehow it feels wrong. Opinions?

Do it....if they are really two walmarts with two different prices then go for it....

JanSolo 03-23-2013 09:42 AM

Doesn't Walmart price match? I'm sure they price match themselves. Maybe not though.

Are those the Family Dollar figures? (That might not be the name but with so many of those stores about, it's hard to remember all of their names)

darktremere 03-23-2013 01:39 PM

I hit a Target, a TRU, a Wal-Mart, and 2 Meijer stores and I managed to find a Scarlet Witch. Nothing from either wave 20 or 21.

How much were the ML figures? I may need someone to snag me some. I have archangel coming, and own protector but bought him loose so no baf pieces, still need cap, wolverine, red she hulk, and hyperion. If anyone buys protector or any figure that has baf piece but has no use for the baf pieces let me know.

Well, I was unaware of that. The name just rung a bell with me. Weirdly, I don't own a single Thor. Would anyone recommend a particular one that could be hailed as the definitive MU Thor?

bmorr 03-23-2013 03:09 PM

showdown thor is pretty muc the best you can get, but modern thor gets major points from me cause his cape is the only one so far that actually comes attached. But he came off negatively from people here because of the face. Wave 17 thor is pretty cool also, and doesnt get much appreciation as it deserves.

Jimmyo 03-23-2013 03:21 PM

modern Thor with the ages of thunder head swap is a great thor but as bmorr said for the classic Thor showdown is the way to go but it is pricey

Ninjinister 03-23-2013 05:41 PM

Walked into Fred Meyer today, saw from afar that the MU section was fully stocked... aaaand it's all old shit. And I have yet to see the Hercules wave a second time :|

I hear this all the time and it makes me laugh because they never shipped to Canada at all.

What you see in that picture is a freak occurrence. every other store around is barren. Its the only store locally thats been active with MU. Well, theres the Disney store also, have to give them credit for trying with wave 20.

Also, to no surprise, Target continues to slack hard in the toy department. Its almost april with no MU presence whatsoever.

What is weird that over here the Future Foundation F4 pack used to pegwarm hard too, but then they all disappeared all of a sudden and only has GOTG sets left now.

I had the exact same sight, except on a smaller scale when I went to a local specialty shop a couple of weeks ago. Went in there and saw the Professor X wave (for $11 each) and the Rogue wave 3 packs (for $30 each). Any new MU at all is so hard to find here that I kinda had a mini-freak out in the store when I walked in and saw them on the shelf. LOL. I could only afford Rogue though, so had to pass on Xavier.
