Ahhhh. Thanks for clearing that up. I kinda like the non-tail version.....but a tail on the non-tail vsion would kick ass.

Miles is usually depicted as very small compared to other heroes. He's a new enough character that he really can vary from artist to artist especially with all of the more unique and stylized approaches but he is fairly consistently lean and short. I really like his costume design though and in my opinion his figure was better than the Peter variant just because his unmasked head came out way better and didn't look like a creepy stalker.

That ultimate peter head is also a bit over sized. I used a cast of the quick change ultimate spidey from the spidey classics line and not only does it look better it doesnt have that i just farted and im proud smile.

Is Dorkside cheaper than BBTS?

The Vintage line is really a great opportunity for us ol school classic 616 MU fans to get figures of our favorite Bronze age heroes/villians in their classic costumes. I'm so burnt out on nothing but movie versions of Ironman/Thor coming out. Where are their classic versions at? Look how awesome the Cyclops/Dark Phoenix 2 pack is featuring their 70s attire. I still can't find that at TRU! Look at how quickly that Walmart exclusive awesome classic BP sold out online.

SymbiSpidey 07-30-2017 12:03 PM

Sanded down Sticky Fingaz', I mean Blade's ass so he can finally stand like a normal human being:

http://i.imgur.com/V7bdCeC.jpg

I could probably sand the joint down a bit more so I get more range but I'm just happy he no longer looks like he's gonna be in the next Nicki Minaj music video.

My next journey will be to find him a bitching trenchcoat. The ToyBiz Blade's coat is slightly too small for him and the pleather material on mine is falling off anyway.

Also need to find some decent boots for him because the ankle hinge on the Electro mold kinda sucks.

I agree, I'm all about the comic versions of these characters, not so much the movie versions, so I'm very excited about the upcoming vintage line. I just hope they ship enough so that it's not a knock down drag out fight for every one you want to find.

Thank you, Chuck! That's right, I recall sending you some links to great deals on TPBs of Tomb of Dracula and Vampire Tales for Satana stuff...

I'm not sure if you saw these when I posted them, but since you're also a fan...I hope you enjoy them!

SymbiSpidey 07-30-2017 12:19 PM

That reminds me...I really need to get around to picking up the old ToyBiz Blackheart. Doubt Hasbro gets around to making a figure of him anytime soon, let alone one as good as that ToyBiz version. Then again who would have guessed we would get a new Man-Thing?

Awesome pictures man!

It's definitely an interesting concept and change from what we've been accustom to in Marvel Legends. I love that this Vintage line can forgo the strict, categorized waves (Avengers, Spider-man, X-men, etc.) and can instead just give us figures from all of the MU. It's really kinda cool to just see Black Widow, Spider-man, and Wolverine in a wave together, and not separated by their individual "brand".

donmeca2020 07-30-2017 01:00 PM

So let me ask a few of you. What are you all using to host your pics? obvisously photobucket is done with due to their price now...

Exactly my thinking. These are just a handful of the many classic Marvel figures I would love to see come out in the vintage series! Some such as classic 1st app Thanos, Hercules, classic Shang Chi, Falcon & Mr Hyde and the original White Tiger are waaaaaaay over due! And a ML Hulk based on that statue would be incredible! As long as it's only 7.5 inches tall. 8' or more would ruin it for me. A massively sculpted Hulk is what I want Hasbro to do, this making figures "giants" to convey power/strength drives me nuts! If being 7 ft 5 inches tall & being a massive pile of Green muscle isn't intimidating enough, then you got problems. MCU wants a giant 8ft + Hulk, good on them, I want the comic version to be his listed MU hgt of 7ft & at the most 7.5 ft tall. Of course 7'-7'5 inches tall in figure. Same goes for Thanos, he is a massively built Titan just as the Hulk is. He is 6'7 in the comics but his huge musculature makes him look bigger, same as the Hulk. A classic Thanos figure in the 6.5 inch scale but sculpted wider with thick muscle mass would be what I want. Neither Hulk, Thanos nor the Thing should have thin waistlines , they need wider waistlines but wider /broader chest/lats and arms. The BAF Juggs is a perfect example of how to do the waistline on massive characters such as the 3 I have mentioned.

Classic Iron fist with unmasked head, Longshot, totally 80's rogue ( with the belts and crop top, funny hair and black body suit ), punk rock Storm, Coldblood, new mutants box set, tiara and puff yellow shirt power man, Silver centurion Iron man with unhelmeted head, Jack Battlin Daredevil, US Agent on the cap wolf bosy with unmasked head and Battlestar!

It was like $63 or $64 bucks plus shipping from dorkside. I got tired of getting whole waves, especially if i don't want all the figures. I got stuck with quite a few from that hulkbuster wave. I had to practically give them away in order to get rid of them.

I hopped over to flickr. It's a few more steps than it was with photobucket to upload pics but the storage space is bigger for free and the quality of the uploads can be much better (obviously technical limitations still factor).

seems like a PITA to find a correct link to copy and paste and then for some reasons the pictures don't come out....

Tomax 07-30-2017 01:55 PM

I have a 'out of the box' thought, sometimes im a deep thinker. Do you guys think Marvel or even DC will create more 'original' new characters? I know marvel and DC have tons of villians and superheroes and they have made millions with their creations but I have a feeling they will get lazy and stop creating. I know they have tried to make new characters with Young Allies etc.. but nothing solid, they just make them as kids with powers or sometimes they just take a already made superhero and do a alternative persona with a diff. name. like Miles Morales for example. they need to get with the times and also create more ethnic diversity with their superheros and villians or else we will be stuck with superman and spider man forever lol
