If I own a cancelled prototype Bi-Beast (one of maybe four?), then you better believe I own every Legends Hulk (and hulk enemy/affiliated hero) there is...well except for this new one...but that will change in the near future. ;)

TheBlueMarvel 08-01-2017 05:34 PM

...so funny that the Hulk is wearing sandals. As if he cares.

They complete the outfit

I picked up Hela at target today, and Walgreens was just unpacking 3 cases of ragnarok and Netflix figures

Kirathis 08-01-2017 07:08 PM

Tonight proved to be a semi-interesting night of acquisitions. I had 2 hours to kill before dinner with friends so I decided to make the rounds of the Walgreens, Targets, Wal-Marts and the lone TRU in my area heading toward the dinner meet up.

Surprisingly to me, I am actually interested in the movie/tv versions from both the Thor and Knights waves. To that end, I ended up with Daredevil and Punisher along with Invisible Woman from the one Walgreens near me that I expect to find things at. Nothing at the rest of them until the one near where I met my friends. Of all things, I grabbed Jane and Ares along with Bullseye from that location.

One Wal-Mart I went to had zero Legends anywhere. Their entire Marvel section looked sad. At another, nothing new, barely any Legends at all and most stuff marked down to about 10 bucks including a Falcon missing most of his accessories. The surprise there was I snagged a complete Tombstone that was already on clearance for 9 bucks.

Left Loki on a peg at one Target as his face looked HORRIBLE. Like Tom Hiddleston was deathly ill and gaut. Then managed to snag the movie Thor at my last stop.

It was an overall great night of acquisitions. Sadly, I only snagged one (Jane) of the figures I was most wanting from both waves but I am still very happy with what I found. They all look great in the packages. Hopefully that will still be the case when I break them out of their plastic prisons tomorrow. Now to hopefully find the rest.

@ Kirathis.... good finds homey..
nothing worse than a day of hunting coming up empty handed!!

You know that feeling you get when you're in the aisle and your eyes make contact with a figure you've been wanting!! like being a lil' kid again..(i never stopped)

Gots mine!

I think this was the last one left in the state, and I paid retail at TRU. If I include hunting gas, I probably came out better paying a scalper, but where's the fun or satisfaction in that?

redfox 08-01-2017 08:42 PM

Decided to go back and read Kathryn Immonen's Journey into Mystery run and now I'm really fighting the urge to splurge on that A-Force Sif. :Ghost

Dr Kain 08-01-2017 08:45 PM

So I just ordered Netflix JJ and Elektra off Amazon for $24 each. More than I would have liked to have paid, but considering the cost of gas to search for them again or the cost of shipping if someone picked them up for me, it would end up being the same.

Nice find Archangel. You may have paid more than you would have buying it from a scalper, but at least you didn't give them your money.

I dig the way your mind works...Fashion forward Hulk gets two snaps and a twist.

...that pic of Hulk (right side) looks way too much like Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks.

Thanks for the tip, when I went to check JJ was down to 22! Oddly the only one that low but thankfully all I needed.

Anyone need the torso?

Tomax 08-01-2017 09:42 PM

went to my TRU and no Ares. i did see movie thor and loki but not intrested

Dr Kain 08-01-2017 10:05 PM

My TRU had the same stuff they have had for the last 6 months. A whole bunch of Doctor Strange figures, the Juggernaut X-Men wave, Speed Demon, female Beetle, Mockingbird, Cottonmouth, and a Ben Reily Spidey.

Veronica Mars 08-01-2017 10:15 PM

My TRU had the whole Warlock wave except Colossus, which is of course the only one from the wave I need

Target.Com has the Ragnarok wave in stock, I just snagged Jane and Ares

Hela is a really nice figure, good paint apps, tight joints. My only complaint is that the cape isn't real secure. Some of the antlers on her headdress are removable and the removable ones come apart, don't lose track of which piece goes where. This definitely kills the F.O.M.O. from the SDCC version

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4296/...e8a18d1a72.jpg

Beetle is fun, the colors are great, I'm definitely glad I changed my mind about passing on him

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4401/...5e43348b_z.jpg

Tombstone is kinda meh. The face sculpt is good, the paint on mine is clean, there's just not a lot to him. Also the hips on mine are super loose

Penguino 08-01-2017 11:16 PM

Someone must have bought the max quantity on Ares.

Had one in my cart and they had tons when I added it then boom gone!

While I am pleased with Tombstone, the headsculpt really sells it for me, some alternate hand and like a crowbar accessory would have gone a long way. I know as a character he relishes using his fists but as a collector it's very much been-there-done-that.

Overpaying at Gamestop and striking at the right time on Amazon landed these gems. MCU figures are quickly becoming my favorite ones to hunt. I ordered EGO 2 pack, Thor, and Loki last night from Dorkside

Simple. In the comics, Ego is a living planet, in the movies they made him Kurt Russell. So you MCU fans are clamoring over a 65yr old Kurt Russel figure. Not a very well made one I might add. And nothing against Jon Bernthal but he does not make for a good action figure either. I'll just stick to my awesome Walgreens classic MU 616 Punisher until the ol school 1st app classic version come out in the vintage line.

The MCU is now even trying to make the Hulk Handsome in Ragnarok, WTF! There was nothing wrong with his look in the 2008 Solo Hulk movie nor the 1st 2 Avengers movies.
