They look to be the size of a poster. Sorry that I don't have exact measurements to accompany my reply, I don't own them haha.

Yes, I concur. They do indeed appear to be roughly the size of a poster.

Girlfriend took the car to work, so I had to walk to the post office and carry a giant box back home. It was well worth it though, cause this was inside:

From HLJ: MP-10 and Yamato's 1/3000 scale SDF-1!!! :D

All I can say is: WOW. Best money I ever spent. I was shocked that Customs didn't slap me with a huge fee. Just shocked.

Very nice Prime. I haven't been following up with tfs that much lately. Is that the new MP? Looks like a larger version of that 3rd party optimus that came out a while back with the trailer and all.

Do Boy 10-19-2011 06:17 AM

Man that prime is sick!!

Nice score! At a yard sale? I never find toys at yardsales anymore. $60 is like getting the two beasts for free or half off. nicely done

Is that the new slightly shorter Optimus? It looks cool. I want a G1 colored Optimus masterpiece but I don't know if I want the old one or the new one.

ludovicotek 10-19-2011 06:48 AM

Damn Pud, epic score. Both are great, but that Prime is ridiculous!!! Very nice. I'm sure he wasn't cheap.

Yes, this is the new Masterpiece. He is awesome! It depends on what you're looking for in a Prime. If you want a giant Prime with lots of diecast, then the older Masterpiece is for you. If you want cartoon accuracy and lots of articulation, then the newer Masterpiece is for you. The new Masterpiece stands taller than Masterpiece Starscream, but shorter than the original MP Prime. The new one only has Diecast in some major back joints and the feet. But the cartoon accuracy in both robot and vehicle mode is so cool it makes up for lack of diecast. The matrix which is removable is all diecast. The new Prime is an engineering marvel.

Best Prime ever as far as I'm concerned.

I got them from HLJ. Prime cost me 17,600 yen, which converted to about $230 + shipping, and the SDF-1 cost me 27,880 yen, which was about $360. Definitely the most money I've spent in one single order. But so freaking worth it. I woke up this morning with a stupid grin on my face. Christmas came early.

Since you're all liking the Prime, here are some more pics:

Ask and you shall receive!

The detail in the toy is amazing. Quality plastic, diecast in all the major supports like the main body. This is my holy grail. Can't believe I finally own one! Just a solid collector's piece. There are some small plastic pieces on a sprues that took forever for me to cut and put on the figure. Mostly to cover exposed screws. Took me three hours to do the whole thing!

ludovicotek 10-19-2011 08:43 AM

^ Wow. Pretty insane detail.

pud333 10-19-2011 08:43 AM

Cruiser mode. So much awesome detail. Every time I look at it, I see something new:

Agreed. I'd buy five of them at that price and have a nice little Junkion gang.

That's the thing it doesn't have. No communicator gimmick and mouth cannot move to simulate talking. Looks like they got rid of that to focus on cartoon accuracy and articulation. Fair trade, but I would still have liked the mouth gimmick.

DogFashionDisco 10-19-2011 12:23 PM

I just got these guys in the mail, they're MU scale and have a lot of articulation. I've been wanting to snag a set for a while now, but wasn't sure about the quality. I might get the catwoman/bats set too.

Ahh.. that kinda sucks. The mouth gimmick I could care less about, but for some reason I liked checking out who was in their wrist coms.

I have no idea what this is, or what it's from, but it looks like a great set. Please don't keep this moc and post some pictures! :D

Tiberius 10-19-2011 12:34 PM

I cannot wait to see some pictures of them out of box DFD. How much where they? I want to get some MU scaled DC figures one day.
