Anyone heard of any platinum editions for the recent Scarecrow, Riddler, & Batgirl figures? Thought these would be givens for color variants.

Gamestop just shipped Bizarro & Braniac, but it says "waiting on stock" for Zan. Hopefully this isn't a bad sign. I'm also waiting for GS to call me about my in-store pre-order for Jayna, so keeping my fingers crossed. They also shipped The Penguin, but since my EE order for him is also on the way, I'll have to return that one to GS. Batman and Catwoman are still listed as coming in November. Caved in to ebay for Shreck, and he's on his way.

It's a bit annoying that I'll probably have to return all three to GS with the way these are shipping, but thanks to McFarlane's distribution, it seems necessary to have a backup pre-order if you can get one.

Batman Returns Catwoman is back up for preorder on Bestbuy. I've never preordered from Bestbuy but here's hoping it works out.

I haven't heard anything yet. But I would expect them to be:

• Scarecrow with a red shirt, similar to BTAS
• Riddler with question marks all over his jacket, possibly the whole suit
• Batgirl with a black body suit, just like her Silver Age costume

I doubt they do that for the scarecrow. Batgirl already got a purple walmart exclusive paintjob. I got lucky my sister found me Guardian, Sandman, and a john stewart darkstars. She left a metron platinum I'm not big into the new gods.

I saw that Mattel are going to start the kid-oriented DC lines next year, but wait until the beginning until 2027 to start the adult-oriented stuff. Why are they waiting so long to start doing the collector figures??

I wonder if McFarlane stopped doing chases for regular DC Multiverse and saved those for DC Multiverse Collector's Edition waves and DC Direct lines like Page Punchers and Digital Collectibles. The last regular wave figure with a Platinum Edition figure that I can think of was the Dick Grayson Batman.

For a couple of reasons

1. McFarlane Toys probably had a year's worth of figures in production during negotiations. So Mattel is willing to hold off on selling to the collector's market until McFarlane sells its last DC Multiverse Wave.

2. McFarlane Toys' ownership of DC Direct adds a layer of complication to their negotiations as opposed to those of Spin Masters. Allowing McFarlane another year could allow Mattel and McFarlane Toys to find some way to assess what McFarlane can release under the DC Direct label that won't conflict with Mattel's releases. It could also establish how and where McFarlane can release DC Direct items so they aren't competing with Mattel. Something like McFarlane's DC Direct Page Punchers and Digital Collectibles can only be sold in specialty stores like GameStop, Vintage Stock, and Comic Book Stores, and outside of that, they'll only be sold in the Collector's Spots at Walmart & Target by the electronics, while Mattel's DC Multiverse figures are in the toy aisle. That hypothetical is something McFarlane could heed next year. For all the valid criticisms of Todd's handling of the DC toy license, it can't be denied that the guy is very passionate about making DC Merchandise and does genuinely like making figures of DC characters. Even if many of his practices are sus. I can see him wanting to make figures past 2026 under the DC Direct label; he wants to reach a deal that would permit that.

Thanks for the heads up. I had her pre-ordered from EE and Gamestop as a back-up, but I just put in a pre-order at BB, so I may cancel the EE one now. As it is, I have to return my extra Penguin to GS because it shipped fro there and EE almost simultaneously.

I've generally had luck with BB, even received the chase variants of Huntress and the Reeve Superman figures.

Cool! But has Todd made any 7" scale 60's Batman figures other than Batman himself? I know there was the 5" line but this would obviously be too big for that.

The wheels and tires look too modern.

Very cool, but I have the Mattel one already for 7" scale, so I'm not sure this is a necessary upgrade. Which is fine by my wallet, as I have already bought 4 of Todd's other Batmobiles so far.

Glad Black Canary is coming. Sadly rumor on the street is Zatanna wont be out or pre order until January 2026

Thanks for the link! I don't think I've ever ordered from them but apparently, I have some membership or account with them so I was able to get free shipping. Also for whatever reason, my BestBuy account had a $10 certificate expiring on the 28th so I took full advantage of it. Thanks for the heads-up!

I got an email yesterday saying that she's supposed to ship from BestBuy by 10/30, which is nearly two weeks earlier than EE and GS right now. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Zan came in stock at GS (says "limited stock," and won't let you check out, though), but my pre-order still says "Awaiting Stock." Now hoping he's going to ship soon, because he's still sold out everyplace else, otherwise.

Some of these line up with the previous rumors that were posted the other day. Not thrilled to see Black Canary as a Platinum, although it could just mean there will be a regular edition along with a Platinum. Or it'll be a Red Platinum situation like Mirror Master.

Canary is a collectors edition. All CE figures have a platinum variant

I wonder if the Rebirth design, featuring canary symbols on the Jacket and corset, the chase, and the traditional look, is the standard version. I think Red Platinum has now become the limited supply figure while Platinum Edition for CE figures is the exclusive repaint.

I'm curious to see what he does for Zatanna and Canary in terms of platinum. I wonder if he'll go big or little especially on Canary a little work can change her to almost any form.
