BM, you are absolutely correct. I believe that us more hard core collectors are definitely open to all female sets or waves or all villain waves, be it female or not. The average Iron Man/Captain America collector maybe not so much, but let's face it, with the rariry of sets like A-Force, most of the ones going for this are the hardcore collectors, unless they happen to be a big fan of one of the characters. The typical purchaser may not even be aware of sets like this at all, unless they follow SDCC footage, which I imagine many do not. You know you got me good with Madelyne Pryor and Selene, I would support this wave. Again the problem with these figures is that the costuming may present a problem for any set/wave that is intended to hit brick and mortar, but I see no issues with it being an online/con exclusive set. Though I'd take out someone from that line up and put in Morgan Le Fay, since she's also clad quite scandalously, not sure who I'd remove (probably female Wasp given she was short-lived.) Maybe eventually we'll see more females and villains. There's still a problem to me when you have entire waves coming out with nothing but heroes...but we have had a couple of villain centric waves along both lines as well...just need a few more. And I will give credit to Hasbro...the last few years instead of doing one female a wave they have for the most part given us 2 females and sometimes even 3. it's a step in the right direction |
Well, now that people like Ike Perlmutter aren't dictating what characters get merchandising, yeah...

My buddy out of state sent me the 12 inch black costume spidey, which im sure would have been a mission to find around my way. anyways i received it yesterday in the mail it looks awesome and the package looks great to with the chrominim lettering.
Now this morning at a Wal-mart locally to me. i found a box of the newest guardians wave. i was super shocked that was able to find Adam Warlock with such ease. needless to say i snatched him up. |
So I just watched the lazy ass driver from Amazon get out of his car and toss my package at my door and then drive off from my balcony. -_- Thank the gods I am not keeping these two unopened:

@Nash
That's a good point that you make about hardcore collectors representing the people seeking the set, while casual fans are largely unaware. I guess we may not be at a point (yet) where female figs could represent ALL 8 slots, and BAF, within one series. Progress is often slow, but as long we're moving forward, I can't complain. I've long said that risque female costumes should be offered in SDCC, or specialized online releases. I've been of that opinion since I noticed and remarked about the frock used to cover Gamora in the EE set. Lol, I'm still laughing at that stupidity! But your suggestion of a villain box is a truly great one. I've called for a wave of villains, but for the same reason you brought up before, lack of casual fan familiarity, that may not work. However...A box set? Now that has legs. How could I forget Morgan Le Fay? I would replace Saturnyne with her, though. I was iffy about her even in the midst of typing my post and vacillated between her and Roma. I'd leave Ultron-Wasp, just because she/he/it (can a robot have a gender?) was so badass... |

Well this fucking sucks. The abcrunch is extemely loose on Man-Thing so if I move his arms forward by a centimeter his abcrunch drops as low as it can go. -_-

I already emailed Amazon complaining because this is not the first time they have done stuff like this. Only this time I asked them if I need to record their driver showing his laziness and put it up on Youtube before they actually do something about it.
|
I didn't know Amazon had their own drivers/cars.

They do if they have a warehouse located in your area (same reason why now I have to pay sale tax on every Amazon order). Last year they opened one up about 40 minutes away from me, so they usually use their own delivery service now and the drivers suck ass. One of them put a BD I ordered that was shipped in a manilla envelope underneath the rug in front of my door despite having a note on the door that told them to deliver it to the leasing office. I found out it was there when I heard a cracking sound under my foot.
One of my friends had bought some special ultimate limited edition PC game (don't remember the game) and he lives in a bad neighborhood. When he got home the tracking number said it had been delivered, but all he found was a piece to a torn open box and Amazon had no more copies to replace it with. $150 edition gone. |
