Nice. I really like that Spidey... and finally rocker ankles on an MU Spiderman.

Now if we could only get that in the classic comic costume! At this point, I have both super-articulated movie spider-man figs, heads that resemble the work of about 5 different Spidey artists...and metric ton of alternate costumes. Heck, this pack is the alternate of an alternate costume.

All I'm waiting for is the maxed-out MU articulated classic costume.

FancyPants 07-24-2012 07:02 PM

Some appreciation :)

Huge BST update. Skrulls/movie hawkeye/lizard variant are now 5

Nobody bought the Helicarrier for Captain America! I want to know why Maria Hill has brown hair instead of black. Everything else I'm cool with.

Btw, has there been any news at all about more waves of Amazing Spiderman figures? Or have we hit the wall with 3(?) waves?

This post has made me come out from hiding after lurking these boards for the last year. I was just at that same TRU on Sunday and they had nothing! One day short! Anyway good to know there are cool people looking out for each other, I guess I got to pay more attention to these boards. Any Austinite know any other good places they sell the Marvel Universe figures? I just moved here and only hit up places like TRU, WalMart, Target, HEB, they don't seem to have a lot of comic stores that sell these here like they do in San Diego.

Any idea when that MU Mysterio is coming out? I want to complete my Spidey Villains and he's on the list of ones that haven't been made yet. Also want to pick up that comic pack with him and Rhino.... then it's just to locate myself a shocker... even when I visited the US I didn't find him!!!

Other figures... I'm also rather excited about the Kang figure that's coming out... and there are a ton of others that I saw in the comic con threads that I want to get my hands on. Here's hoping I'll get to visit forbidden planet and Orbital comics in London at some point after they're released!!!

That's about it bub. There are a few comic shops around town but I don't really frequent them.

That's because he only shows up in Canada. I think I did see a picture of him being packed in with a Spidey vehicle coming out soon.

Welcome to Austin! You've been hitting up all of the right places in my experience. The Sears Grand on Parmer & I-35 used to be a good place to look for figures, but then it all went downhill. Last time I checked it out they had a good assortment of Avengers movie figs from wave one. That was a couple months ago. Then there's Ross, Marshall's and TJ Maxx. There's also Wonkos toys off 183. They have an assortment of different toy lines. I don't remember them having too much MU, but you may wanna check them out. Facebook.com/Wonkos

Happy hunting!

Exodus 07-24-2012 08:00 PM

Dang it my X-Factor set got damaged according to the UPS website...hopefully TRU has more in stock, any one else have that issue?

SOB they don't have any more in stock....they said these should be in store, so hopefully I can get it than. UGH.

Out in Baytown. There was nothing else at any of the other local stores, was a little surprised TRU had these, but every now and then they surprise me (I had no problems whatsoever finding TF Masterpieces when they were out). It's also out of the way for most Houston collectors and scalpers...most, hehe.

mikefavata 07-24-2012 08:22 PM

I heard something about a train derailment? Not sure if it was UPS though.

Thanks for the assistance guys, got to say I love it here in Austin. I hit up Wonko's a few months ago, not much stuff there for MU, but I did score a sweet SHS Doc Ock and an IM2 Crimson Dynamo. Have any of you went to the Austin Comic Con, I was going to try to go to find some see MU figs there. Don't know if it is worth it or not.

shortysben 07-24-2012 08:30 PM

Oh that's right. That's your area.
Regardless, Great find - first Houston area sighting.

I went the first year and I wasn't too impressed with their toy selections. I'm going again this year and it's become more popular so I'm sure the selection will be better now.
