what was the purpose of the extra head here...they look damn near identical to me..

One is happy and the other is serious or stern but not quite angry. The differences are very subtle and like I said in my original write up on the pack I appreciate the subtlety but if you don't look real close the signs are easy to overlook. The main indicators are the cheeks as the happy head's cheeks are rounder and more visually pronounced while his serious head's cheeks are flat. They could have made the expressions more obvious like a big smile and a scowl but personally I prefer the way they handled it.

You're going to love it, dude. I bought the set on the strength of Bor and Malekith alone; they did not disappoint. Best of luck!

question: does dr. Doom fly?

He can, but doesn't normally. He has miniature jump-jets that he uses for limited flight. Although, I've seen them used for longer flights as well. The most recent iteration (Marvel Legends: Ronan Series - Dr Doom) has them tooled onto his lats (latissimus dorsi)...

Malekith for me for sure, and a better version of Odinson and slightly better version of JF, then Borr. I'd rather have Executioner than Ulik, but I won't be looking to sell him off either.

As for those asking about those of us that did place orders earlier, my order is still in the system as of tonight. Unfortunately I have plans for half of the day tomorrow, so I'm going to be pretty pissed if they cancel the order last minute or there's some screw up, and I'm not here to order when it goes up. But not enough to pay third party prices....not on this set.

Unlike the A-force set, in my opinion and despite reissues (current and pending), all of the figs from the SDCC set are fairly strong showings. Singularity and Sif were pretty weak...

Haha! He's really Marvel's closest thing to a 'Drow,' but yeah...pretty much!

EDIT: agreed on MCU Malekith, but I did like Kurse. Hasbro must make a canon Kurse...

lol ???

The 'Drow elves' from Forgotten Realms - such as the enigmatic and majestic - Drizzit Do'Urden, his incredibly dangerous father - Zaknafein Do'Urden, and the Queen of Spiders/Dark Mother - Lolth.

They're not funny at all...

I dunno...the drow have pretty inventive and amusing ways of killing....but then again my brother and I laughed when we went to watch the Saw films . In the words of slappy Squirel..."Now thats....comedy." ;)

Last 'derailing' comment...I've never watched any of the SAW flicks. It's just not my kind of horror movie.

Its a shame they never really got into the figures other than two versions of pigface. If theyd have made some sets theyd have rocked for legends dios. ( and while they get repeterive i enjoyed the grisly, and darkly humorous demises in them. Its like cheering for jason to whack the idiot teens in the friday the 13 th flicks. )

Saw movie thor and movie aquamarine greenish loki but no hela dagnabbit.

Just a couple of things to add to my Marvel Legends collection...

Note: This IM from the Homecoming set is very impressive, IMO..I took me by surprise in its detail...Very nice job, Hasbro!

Now, I am and I've always been a fan of Kurt Russell, but GAAAHHH it's crazy how a movie could make me want to throat punch a living planet!!

Yeah, Hela seems to be first one flying from the shelves in many stores. Great thing for future figures of female villains, but not so much for collectors.
