Picked up some Marvel 4'' at mine locally. Single carded were down to 7 USD, and the GOTG 5 pack was down to under 30. So I finally got an MU Groot and the better Drax!

Building block sets seem to not be going down in price that fast though. Thinking about picking up some Rick and Morty ones when they get cheaper.

Thanks for the update. I was about to print off a $5 reward this morning because I finally had the points. A part of me knew they would end the rewards right as I would get enough points for one last $5 reward.

I had my rewards set for $10 "payout", and needed about 8 points to get there -- which were to be available finally as of 3/25. If I'd been on top of it I could've at least gotten $5 and used it, last week.

General FAQ from Toys "R" Us about the liquidation:
https://www.toysrusinc.com/customer-faq

Summary version:
* Liquidation sales begin 3/23 -- and all sales are final
* All store events are cancelled
* all these are invalid starting 3/22: Rewards, Rewards points accruals, store coupons, sales flyers
* Gift Cards and Endless Earnings are still good but only to April 21 and cannot be returned or redeemed for cash
* Canadian gift cards no longer accepted in the U.S.
* if you have layaway items, you have 21 days to pay the balance & get product, to demand a refund, or forfeit your money AND the product
* web store still open for business but not for long
* web store registries only exist for as long as the web store is open

I hope this is of use to everyone.

Addendum: it appears web order store pickup is no longer available, either.

Also if anyone was going to buy the Playmobil Ghostbusters, what stock the web site has is on sale for 25% off (appears, Stay-Puft, the firehouse, and the figure-and-ghost packs). Because of the shipping increase and other money stuff right now I may not be able to take advantage of this.

I went to TRU today and 10% off was the norm for most items with the exception of Legos which were only 5% off. Before I even parked, I saw a lot of people leaving the store empty handed. I'd say that most of the sales they are making are from people using gift cards.

I pulled my Rewards R Us card out of my wallet today and moved my Walgreens card into its place. I actually had better luck there by getting Mr. Fantastic and the Iron Spider.

tlasjr 03-24-2018 06:53 PM

I'm sure they'll be increasing the discounts slowly over time. That's typical. By the end you'll see 75-80% off. But no organization and fee wanted items. Hopefully the c-130 clone makes it to 50%
Video games were only 5% off today. Action figures 10%. Surprisingly they had a Nintendo switch.

Cyclopswc 03-24-2018 08:26 PM

Anyone know if they're still giving 10% off discount on Thursday for TRU Visa card holders?

10. Will customers who signed up for a Toys“R”Us credit card still receive the same benefits?
• Customers can continue to use their Toys“R”Us credit card for through the end of the liquidation sales.
• However any rewards or discounts previously associated with the cards will no longer be accepted/provided.

Thanks!

That sucks though.

Dr Kain 03-28-2018 09:36 PM

I went to TRU last night and they had absolutely nothing worth buying. In fact, someone already snatched up all of their NECA Godzillas and Jasons despite the sales only being 10% off.

tlasjr 03-29-2018 04:40 AM

Is Toysrus.com going away as well? They haven't dropped their prices a dime. If they aren't I would just assume anything worth selling would just be moved there before they get beyond a mild discount.
Heck, the figures went up in price when the liquidation started. They ended a buy one get one 50% off to do a 10% off sale and people ate it up.

I finally received the order I placed 3 weeks ago. I didn't believe they would fill it but they did. They aren't being shipped by TRU though according to the shipping labels. It says it is a fulfillment company. Only sign it was TRU was the receipt.

BlackRazor 03-29-2018 08:26 AM

Stopped by a TRU yesterday & today in my e-mail I received a customer survey from them.

That's always been the case, for what it's worth.

Worked a couple hours today to help put away incoming stock. Yes, the stores are still getting stuff from the distribution center. Got in a couple cases of those Vision 2 packs.

SpasticPlastic 03-29-2018 04:24 PM

Also, the website is now closed down.

RolandofGilead 03-29-2018 04:44 PM

I'd love it if they found some awesome stashes, or better yet, older toys left in some forgotten corner of the warehouse.

So how the hell am I supposed to pay my TRU credit card now? It won't let me on to make a payment.

tlasjr 03-29-2018 10:19 PM

Have you tried logging in? It lert me get to the log in screen. You can even search inventory just can't add anything to your cart.

Yeah, it was giving me an error message saying I did not have permission to access that page and then had all of these random letters and stuff on the screen.

let us know if you see any Transformers Studio Series Thundercrackers.

Joe Moore 03-30-2018 08:36 AM

I stopped in one yesterday. I needed a birthday gift and the Target's and Walmarts in my area suck ass for young kids toys. The store was pretty well stocked. The LEGO area was a little less packed than normal, but every section had full shelves. I didn't walk through the video games tho, so don't know how that area was doing.

Jeddostotle7 03-30-2018 12:26 PM

The Toys R Us near me (the only one pretty much, since the one a little farther away started closing as one of the ~200 initial closures) is already pretty cleaned out. There's still a moderate amount of stuff, but how much is gone, combined with how messy the customers that used to shop at the other one and now have to shop at this one leave it (even before it started closing), make it look like it's been looted.

Mumble-bee 03-30-2018 03:47 PM

I went to the Portsmouth NH TRU today -- I also went last week. Last week was meh, and I didn't buy anything.
This week I saw a few things that were new, like repackaged Imaginext Teen Titans ...
and the Marvel Legends Hydra Soldier 2-pack that came out last September which I'd given up on ever seeing.
they also had the ML Bikes and the female Avengers multipack.

what I'm really saying is, unless you're after Lego there may still be new things arriving, check back a few times.

therealjondoe 03-31-2018 02:23 PM

So they are still getting new stuff. I found the new McFarlane stranger things figures of Lucas and Dustin last night.

LordMudd 03-31-2018 04:23 PM

I went to my TRU this morning. Still 10% and looked fully stocked.
